Okay. What the fuck is up with diplomacy?

How will that even work? Instead of being able to ignore or beat back our enemies we have to beg for life? Screw That.

Give us our territories and we can stand stronger than them again.

We will not be a tiny fish in a big sea! Using diplomacy to save us!
I mean, diplomacy was what would have saved us this turn lol.

I feel especially bad, since I could have switched ._.

@Academia Nut You require a threadmark on the latest vote

[X] [Successor] The ancient urban manufactories of the core

All the revival options sound bad, so no vote for that.

Fuck it.
I'll stay for a few hours to make sure we don't completly run into the ground.
Let other people have to deal with zombie me, this is more impirtant.

God this is depressing, almost enough to make me give up. But not enough, not yet.

Thousands of years of history and effort maimed and almost crippled because some people decided they wanted to willfully ignore context clues and RP as the asshat nobility and not the actual people whose blood sweat and tears made this place. No empire lasts forever sure, but I wanted out death to be glorious, something that burns in history as our crowning moment, the supernova of our star.

This?

This was stupidty and warmongering.

/rant/sorta kinda s.

*sigh*

Land can be retaken, a spirit is far harder to fix. The nobility can eat a dick and die though. Never again, we need a legitimate way to veto stupidity like this from happening.

I am pretty happy with the result. No empire rules forever. Mutual kill is acceptable.

Its time for a new order to arise from the ashes!

There will be several more rounds, but you should probably go to bed since I am thinking that there will be at least eight more hours of lightning rounds.

You are Killing me ^^
I Think I will wait until the Next vote and then go to bed
When can I expect it ?

Blame the meme voters, not AN.

We would have died either Way
Tribute wasn't something the People were willing to pay, trying it would have resulted in a Civil war and Khan wasn't willing to Take any less

how much knowledge did we lose? Inoculation? Sacred Forest? Stepped Farming?

This current vote will decide what is saved from the ruin.

What would have happened had we went to war with the Khan? Assume worst possible roll.

If you had picked a fight and got the worst possible result, then the IRL Temujin would have looked on with horror, appalled at what his fictional counterpart was doing.

Far more likely was the Khwarezmia treatment.

Not!Chinese siege engineers armed with gunpowder.
That's bullshit and you should feel ashamed. The reason Raider Civilizations don't do infrastructure damage is not that they lack the ability (Humans are remarkably good at destroying stuff). It's that they're faced with a binary choice: grind inward for resources, in which case they don't have the time to properly destroy infrastructure on a large scale, or rely on said infrastructure themselves.

You know this. I know, because this was a discussion back in AoS.

:anger:

Really, I think this could have been avoided the previous vote, if we had voted to wholeheartedly embrace gunpowder. It's the musket that decisively tilted the conflict between settled and nomadic societies in favor of the settled.

Only going full "try to make friends" would have resulted in an implosion. A partial tribute (the runner up option) was payable without penalty, and would have vastly reduced the resulting damage from the war.

Not!Attila decided to make an example of us when we refused to give him any tribute at all, even though we gave tribute to many lesser chiefs.
