A civil war is a temporary solution. We can no longer suppress the Patricians, which means that we could be facing a civil war every couple of generations.
There are more effective ways of dealing with this than killing off mass numbers of our own people and destroying our infrastructure.

Okay we have two possible but non-exclusive solutions now
1. we either prepare for a civil war and then somehow trigger it earlier, as long as our two martial geniuses are around
or
2. we somehow trigger them into supporting another faction (like the yeoman during the war) and then quickly suppress them

Not really, rather just a temporary problem, because if we do make if absolutly clear that we won't disturb land then at somepoint they will stop asking

I think it's just a more nuanced version of his stats, since He's really good at logistics and at inspiring men, to go with his Genius Martial, but he's bad at talking to the nobility and administering holdings and stuff.
It's just the way of saying that's he's super good at War, but not much else (besides poetry
)
