Is this girl a math savant? Math. Eldritch horror from beyound human understanding, that only the mad love and understand. Killer of joy for other people. Thing that let's us sense the world with our brain.
TAKE ALL OF MY YES!!!

[X] Yes (Forfeits the CB against the Highlanders, declares war against the Thunder Horse, brings Yenyna out of retirement, ???)

Math my love! Soon you will gain the attention you deserve!

A few things that I noticed when looking at the map again:
- we could please the Yeomen by putting a colony in the empty area between HK and the SF / Harmurri
- pushing the border to the eastern branch of the river in a war with the TH would be pretty cost neutral on the defence / border size front
-- it would expose our eastern holdings to the steppe through the Spirit Channel, but I don't think the nomads hit the TH there at all, so we would only get spread out attacks
-- it would be the perfect spot for a march that can protect the TH border and push against nomads
- Greenshore and Western Wall are nearly linked already and the spot between them would be another nice target for the Yeomen mission
- we could build a channel from the Heavens Hawk main settlement to the Stallion Tribe core, which seems much more useful then linking the other two river branches for trade, but would still provide a huge area with irrigation

The problem with taking that TH land is that we would have to protect that northern mountain pass. Right now, if a nomad horde comes through they would hit the TH first instead of us.

There is a very simple reason to bring the Highlanders under our dominion:

1-They are close to us
2-They are weaker than us
3-They are not allied to a peer

No other consideration is necessary, and yes I apply the same criteria to other polities.
So in your opinion, Trump should order an invasion of Canada and Mexico?

The most basic equation for celestial objects is: F = (G*m1*m2)/r^2
This equation cannot be changes or this planet would not be able to exist.
Given sufficiently powerful wizards (read: gods) you can always claim that a wizard did it.

If there is no guiding intelligence that makes the earth, there must be rules that made it, but even if that rule exists and applies, that is only weak evidence against divinity.

That's the entire point. If we attack [insert polity here] we're going to be attacked by the HK. If [insert polity here] attacks us, we're going to be attacked by the HK. If a nomad sneezes in our direction, we're (probably) going to be attacked by the HK. And the HK has Intrigue, which we apparently haven't heard of. King Suicidal Pacifist over here is going to get us all killed along with him.

You do realize that this kind of argument actually hurts your case, right? The pacifist faction exists for a reason, and probably takes this kind of thing as "we should do X because I'm right and you're wrong".

Oh no am not trying to advocate anything at this particular point, just explaining my position, as some have argued that the warhawks want war for either hatred or pragmatic reasons. And so I explained my position, as it follows neither school of thought.

So its impossible for space objects to be influenced by anything other than gravity and inertia and math still be functional?

Yes.

Our current system of mathematics is completely reliant on the physical laws of the universe being as they are. Different laws of the universe lead to a different mathematical system being valid.

We can safely assume this is true if the Ymaryn live in a physical universe which allows for basic math.
Then you have obviously no paid any attention to math. Newtonian physics are not a fundamental part of math, they're just a fundamental part of our universe. Mass is not a fundamental part of math, just of physics. For all we know, in this world, light things actually do fall slower in a vacuum. Or the luminescent AEther might be a thing. Quite simply, we don't know and we need to test.

"Oh yeah? Well there's no evidence magic isn't real! Those stars in the night sky are almost certainly the eyes of the gods watching us!"
Well, they're certainly not like our sun due to a lack of parallax effect. That's part of how Galileo was "proven" wrong. Turns out there were other things responsible for it with light's physics, but the geocentric theory actually had more evidence than the heliocentric one at the time.

Later evidence proved that wrong. Similarly, Newton proved many peoples' assumptions wrong, then Einstein proved that Newton was wrong in certain conditions. Science is an iterative process and assuming things are wrong is a stupid way to go about it. Catalog the theories and the evidence, and go with what has the most evidence for now while continuing to test it.

Priests- Objective: Build a Level 2 Temple within 3 turns. Failure: -1 Legitimacy[/QUOTE - 1/6 Complete, Passives will finish next main

So pretty good, means almost certainly they'll all be finished. I guess the question is how long the grace period is before they refresh. Assuming the clock for a new quest starts the moment one is completed it might be better to drag things out a bit at times.

Also seems like our Hero only got one stability from his Enforce Justice Main considering the yeoman stab reward? I wonder is that might explain the rather lackluster narrative result, he didn't roll that well?

So in your opinion, Trump should order an invasion of Canada and Mexico?

It's different in modern times because after the World Wars, America created a status quo where annexing another country's territory is highly frowned upon and often met with retaliation by other countries. For America to annex another country today would be breaking the current norms and would increase the risk of other countries doing the same thing. In the past, America did try conquering Canada during the War of 1812, but it didn't work out very well. Annexing land from Mexico was also a thing.

That never happened so far. The last horde coming through there was the old TH when they crushed the Spirit Talkers and became thus the modern TH.
I've always thought that to be odd, but it seems likely that they just get along with the hordes a lot better then us, since they share the same roots.

None the less, you are right, but a march can take care of that and it's not like that bit of border will matter much when our entire western holdings have huge borders to the steppes already.

That it's possible, however unlikely, that things don't actually work that way IC.
Well, seeing as how most everything else is based off of IRL, then I'm going to say that this single thing being different is highly unlikely.

AN has maintained historical and physical accuracy almost entirely. Only geography has changed. If the laws of physics were different, I think we would have noticed.
