I know we're at war with the nomads, but does a War Mission have to mean that we're invading them? We fight better defensively. Does sending troops to bolster defences count as a war mission?

We've more or less broken them, and can't do much more to them now, why spend a legitimacy and gain at most 1 stab (and risk losing stab) while we've explicitly been warned that the nomads are beating us back and likely to take out the metal workers and make things worse?
Restore Order doesn't have that risk anymore. It goes from 0-2 Stability. Kind of a waste now since it is impossible to get more than 2 though...

I'm thinking that Main Blackbirds might take care of the leftover corruption as a side benefit.

Yeah, it seems kinda bittersweet right now. The only use it has is at negative stability, or at 0.

I'm assuming building the palace might alter it further, possibly removing the legit loss.

The fact that we're required to send a war mission means we're likely fighting defensively, to my mind. We only get that requirement when we or one of our periphery states is under serious attack.

...Well i feel dumb now.
@Academia Nut would you be willing to tell us the vague probabilities of RoO now that its changed, since you did so for the original version? At least as far as whether there's roughly even chances of each outcome, or if, say +0 is more likely than +1 or +2, or vice versa?

Restore Order has massively changed now.
[Secondary] is far better than [Main].

Secondary: -1 action. -1 Legitimacy. 1 average stability.
Main: -2 actions. -1 Legitimacy. 1.44 average stability.
edit: fixed number
We then have to take a Proclaim Glory to solve the Legitimacy problem. That costs us 2 art and 1 action. It's freaking expensive.
[Secondary] RO+[Main] PG is reasonable-ish.
3 actions, 3 art, 1 econ -> 2 Stability, chance of 1 prestige
That's really the only reasonable one. Risky though since RO is 0-2 instead of a flat 1.
Probably best used for its narrative effects.

What happened to the Sacred Warriors action?
We lost that waaaay long ago, when we lost Sacred War and the associated Restoration of Harmony.

1) That WoG was ambiguous. I interpreted it as needing at least 3 [Main] actions to trigger.
2) We didn't finish the Aqueduct with anything to spare. That choice was from the completion bonus, not excess completion.
1) cool; and? We'll have 3 won't we?
2) doesn't match with my recollection; will debate when not busy

@Academia Nut what level of anger did our people have when the king told them about what had been happening?

Also, what effects has this had on our occupational administration system? Are the lumpers weakened right now, or was it only certain groups?

Can someone explain what the Diplomacy stat means? Its not how well we're viewed because we've been maxed out on it and been viewed with distaste for being vampires. Its not how effective we are at using soft power to influence those close to us because that's governed by Prestige. While somewhat connected to trade that seems to be more the realm of Econ. We can occasionally take hits on it OOC to do certain actions but IC I struggle to see what it represents.

how much Mysticism (if any) does building additional temples get us?

Still working that out actually.

It was pretty acute, although some of it may have been projection from those who were tangentially complicit.

It's a combination of soft power, trade relations, and a measure of the amount of stuff you move around with your neighbours. Since you don't have the concept of currency, trade is all done on relational systems. So even if a group is annoyed with you, they still are willing to exchange things with you.

Newcomer here, but I'm thinking it is indeed about influence. People don't have to be happy with us, as such; we might still have leverage over them. Actually looking up to us is more to do with Prestige, I'm thinking.
