Recently on Discord, it was made known to us that several of the Goketsu's Good Tier Shit was withheld from the non-Uplift members of the Goketsu Clan. This includes the Orochimaru Lootboxes, the Orochimaru-Sourced Jutsu, the better Pangolin jutsu (such as PEA), and our better seals (MARS).

That... did not match my understanding of the current state of affairs within the Goketsu Clan. I had assumed that the Orochimaru Lootboxes and Jutsu were made available to anyone who asked Hazou for access to them. Several other players echoed my sentiments, stating that they were under similar impressions.

Given this misunderstanding, I'm comfortable spending FP to Declare, retroactively, that Hazou made some of (or all of) these things available to the newer Goketsu Clan Members.

@Paperclipped said that he has "no objections to declares like that," but admitted that he was uncertain as to whether or not they'd be in their own plan, or folded into an existing action plan.

However, given that this is a retroactive Declare that seeks to correct for a misunderstanding that (many of) the playerbase had regarding the narrative, it is my belief that it should exist separate from an Action Plan. After all, it has nothing to do with the current decisions that are happening, and this keeps things a little more organized.

  • Hazou allowed all the Goketsu Clan Ninja access to the Orochimaru Lootboxes as soon as he got them. They have to request access from Hazou, but the lootboxes are available to request.
  • Hazou allowed all the Goketsu Clan Ninja access to the Orochimaru-sourced jutsu as soon as he got them. They have to request access from Hazou, but the jutsu are available to request.
  • Hazou allowed all the Goketsu Clan Ninja access to the better Pangolin Jutsu as soon as they joined. They have to request access from Hazou, but the jutsu are available to request.
  • Past-Hazou maintains current opsec regarding Goketsu Seals.

Edit: this at least goes a fair ways to explaining why all the other clan members felt like the was such an in-group. Like, we knew there was, but I figured that part of that was just by virtue of QM spoons and player preference to not show the other clan members on screen as much/flesh them out.

That reminds me, we actually still have unresearched seals from Isan.

Now that they all are getting turned into Naraka trees to be reborn we have to be careful and preserve their legacy.

Hidan killed basically everyone. It's possible that a handful escaped or were missed, but if so they aren't likely to surface anytime soon.

Hazō did not have time or chakra to be training today while all this was happening.

      • We're finishing MS6, he finished MS7, should we start researching rifts?
      • Has his Rift Sealing Ideas timeline changed since learning MS7?
      • Minato seal displays resemble Naruto's jinchuuriki seal. Investigate if promising. Cross-reference Hazou's Bijuu seal sketches .
      • Akatsuki is probably researching the Rift. We'll need to handle them.
        • Does Kagome think they can open it without Naruto tenketsu/Minato notes? How long will it take?
        • They likely intend to resurrect Pain. Could we perma-kill him/remove his eyes from the equation?
          • Hypothetically, we could try converting him to Leaf's side and Uplift, but it seems risky.
          • Thoughts?
        • Concern: Akatsuki ambushes us upon exiting/steals the Rift.
          • Possibilities:
            • Kill Sasori, their only route to using the Rift.
              • Akatsuki'd likely come after Kagome/Hazou.
            • Create second Rift back and exit somewhere else.
            • Move Rift somewhere they'd have trouble accessing/finding it. Leaf? 7th Path? Random cave?
              • Enter Rift, collect data to target Naraka, close Rift permanently, open our own.

Knowing DE is going to affect the complexity much more than the TN. It would only shift the TN by, at most, 5, whereas the complexity might possibly be reduced by a very large percentage due to how similar the two seals are. Basically, we still need to hit a high number, but the amount of progress we need to make is much much less (probably).
 
I will vote for plans that offscreen debrief conversations. Possible alternative actions that Hazo can do right away, in more or less the order I thought of them

+ Ask Ami for LORE about the five / the Frozen Skein
+ Ask Kei for tips about how she manages the +Mental Contamination from the Frozen Skein. <- This is going to be an important skill if we start building up Jashin tokens.
+ Genjutsu training with Mari to blunt the horrors (not sure how this interacts with mechanical definitions of mental consequences)
+ Volunteer at the Hospital - ask Noburi to help Hazo save lives, directly, as fast as possible.
+ Tracking bandits / Civilian criminals with Haru (+ Yuno?)
+ Technobabble Time with Kagome
+ Interlude: Iron Nerve taijutsu training with Honoka
 
@Zampano, this action plan calls for a Sealing conversation with Kagome. Sealing conversations often involve technobabble. Vote?

I'll vote for it because I want to advance the plot-tracker for 'Hazo does Project Necromancy' but I think that another administrative/strategy meeting with Kagome is strictly dominated by plans which simply clear out time on Hazo's schedule for Sealing Research.

Any chance y'all could vote for this? It'd kick Kei's Deceit stat up to the next milestone, and she's said that she wants to prioritize her Deceit skills for the next little while (probably up to 40, is my read on things)...

maybe Mari can give her a Deceit stunt?

That's fair. Honestly, it's mostly meant to get the ball rolling so we can discuss what we want/don't want to do next update. I imagine we'll have to be on-hand for Asuma while Kakuzu and Hidan are in Leaf, so we can't timeskip our Mild Consequences away. And that means no sealing research...
