[X] Continue Previous Plan But Also Stop The Debt-Paying
Let's not engage in first-hand fiat currency failure mode testing.
Let's not engage in first-hand fiat currency failure mode testing.
"Not in ryō," Mari said, smiling happily. "Doesn't matter, though. The contracts that Rai wrote all specified that the debts would be paid in 'Leaf currency'—apparently they like to specify, since the Leaf ryō is worth more than some other countries' ryō. Anyway, these days our scrip is considered as good as ryō in Leaf, so we can legitimately say that it's a Leaf currency. We'll just make more of it to cover the debt."
Ayy what the heck? Hōzuki's Mantle gives +1/3 to Melee attacks? Does this make WW+HM better than WDB (for single target takedowns) per XP spent?What we should level is Hozuki Mantle, because it gives a penalty to athletics until level 30.
We actually did discuss Noburi last night. He's pretty well off other than the low athletics and alertness, and doesn't have access to shadow clone, so.[X] Training Akane: 5 clones (and Yamanaka XP) + SC commitment + Pangolin Jutsu
The reasoning for what Akane should prioritize after hitting 5-clone Resolve all seems sound to me.
[X] Training Keiko: 7 clones
And yeah with Yamanaka XP partial-draws being allowed, 7 clones is the obvious path of attack.
[X] Koi Pond: Keiko's SCs
Strictly speaking I think I would phrase this as 'Temp Keiko SOP: draw from koi pond' but I forgot to include that in the first batch so naming prerogative goes to you
[X] Training Noburi: None
I agree that we should do something for Noburi, but I don't much want to leap ahead to a decision without discussion, and we've been mostly distracted mathing out FOOM recently. So, this for now.
I also contend that there's no need for a Hazou SOP vote since the voted-in 'general SOP' natively includes Hazou unless we vote in a specific SOP for him that diverges from it. This is my bold stance where I agree with you on what to do but refuse to cooperate with your way of formalizing it out of petty rejection of redundancy
I have no problem with saying that you called it off shortly after leaving the room, before anything got started. We'll say that the potential consequences dawned on you and you explained them to Gaku.Wouldn't abruptly stopping civilians debt payment - atleast without explanation - be arbitrary and cruel hearted to Gaku, civvies and scrip-printer-operators?
Pantokrator's Hammer does not apply to Water Whip, which is not a normal weapon and does not benefit from the user's strength.[X] Overcharging: Yes
Keiko
[X] Koi Pond: Keiko's SCs
[X] Training Keiko: 7 clones
Resolve 24 --> 33 (261 XP = 23 Yamanaka XP + 238 regular XP)
Save 10 XP
Like 6 clones, this is meant for drawing on the koi pond. It's strictly better than 6 clones otherwise. Everyone who voted for 6 clones, please vote for this.
Hazou
[X] Training Hazou: FOOM
If Shadow Clone SOPs are desired:
[X] Shadow Clone SOP (Hazou): FOOM
Follow @Inferno Vulpix's FOOM SOP.
Akane
Akane needs to fix her pyramids to push Resolve to 30. Either she needs to get two skills into the 20s, or she needs to get one skill into the 40s and one into the 20s. First:
[X] Training Akane: 5 clones (and Yamanaka XP)
Resolve 24 --> 27 (78 XP = 14 Yamanaka XP + 64 regular XP)
Save 126 XP
This is strictly better since it saves more XP for non-Resolve levelling needed to get past the current pyramid barrier. Everyone who voted for Akane 5 clones, please vote for this.
Otherwise, since I support going 20/40 as Shadow Clone will need to be leveled to 40 anyway (as we need it for chakra efficiency while the koi pond is being built):
[X] Training Akane: 5 clones (and Yamanaka XP) + SC commitment
Resolve 24 --> 27 (78 XP = 14 Yamanaka XP + 64 regular XP)
Shadow Clone 30 --> 33 (96 XP)
Save 30 XP
And since I like Akane having access to Pantokrator's Hammer 20, and thus being able to cast it at Effect: 4 (!!; check the rules doc) to get 2x double tags in a given round for very efficient dodge + punch:
[X] Training Akane: 5 clones (and Yamanaka XP) + SC commitment + Pangolin Jutsu
Resolve 24 --> 27 (78 XP = 14 Yamanaka XP + 64 regular XP)
Shadow Clone 30 --> 33 (96 XP)
Pantokrator's Hammer 10 --> 12 (23 XP)
Save 7 XP
Though I suspect those last choices should be up for discussion.
Noburi
While we're doing training plans, Noburi is due for some building. Assuming he likes staying alive:
[X] Training Noburi: Athletics
Athletics 35 --> 40 (190 XP)
Save 19 XP
Oooorrr if he wants to be flashy with his new jutsu:
[X] Training Noburi: Dragon
Water Dragon Bullet 30 --> 40 (177.5 XP)
Save 31.5 XP
Or if we want to be spicy:
[X] Training Noburi: Ami's Gift
Ami's Ultimate Buster Bomb 1 --> 20 (104.5 XP)
Save 104.5 XP
Or just summoner things:
[X] Training Noburi: Summoner Things
Chakra Reserves 25 -> 28 (162 XP)
Save 47 XP
@eaglejarl @Velorien Does Pantokrator's Hammer apply to Water Whip, with it being a physical attack? That and Ghost Scales could also be good choices for Noburi right now. Social and medical skills are also an option, but I've made enough suggestions for one post.
The quote sums it up. Very difficult, more so in proportion to the desired range, and your face may be eaten by eldritch abominations if you fail to do the right lucky dance.
I... I kinda want to throw some xp at it, just to see what happens.Also, note that no one has ever put XP into Ami's Ultimate Buster Bomb, and the consequences are thus unpredictable.
Ayy what the heck? Hōzuki's Mantle gives +1/3 to Melee attacks? Does this make WW+HM better than WDB (for single target takedowns) per XP spent?
Offhand considerations: WDB makes multiple attacks which is hard to abstract, WW+HM builds in the pyramid filler as HM, WW+HM can be used to defend via counterattack, WW+HM gives defensive, multicombatant buffs from HM

There is no real reason to level PH to 12 right now and with 30 XP we could buy Kagome's seal stunts if necessary.
I mean, all he has to do is make the seal go a bit farther than 1/2 inch, if that isn't enough.
He didn't. He figured out the seal but the waterproofing he hasn't had time to work on.
Keep in mind Jacuzzi seals are based on Tunneler's Friend seals, which are similar to storage seals but not necessarily based off of them. Regardless, Hazou does have experience in making seals which expel contents a distance away from the actual seal, so it shouldn't be that hard to fix it.Assuming faflec is right here about the baseline being 1/2 inch, that should have resolved the waterproofing problem, no? Waterproofing for bathtub conditions only requires a few millimeters of wax, after all, unless there's something else I'm missing here.
Remind me, do Tunneler's Friends work as air canisters (store a certain amount of air), air purifiers (scrub out CO2 and other toxins), or air generators (ex nihlo)?Keep in mind Jacuzzi seals are based on Tunneler's Friend seals, which are similar to storage seals but not necessarily based off of them.
