I...uh...don't think there's going to be people with good stories involving her, or at least those willing to share. Even before she went missing-nin, Mari was the Heartbreaker for more reasons than just her ability to stop hearts (I have a faint recollection of her repeatedly making relationships with people and then suddenly cutting them off when she got bored with them).

Oh, that is...not what I was imagining. I had thought you would send someone over to Mist and get stories while they got the trade supplies ala the Wakahisa deal.
Letters...ignoring the Shikamaru.screaming, I'm not entirely sure that would work, even less so than going in-person.

Wait what? I thought it was said the Wakahisa considered the deal complete, and the only reason we don't have all the shinies is for meta "we haven't defined what they are yet" reasons.
Anyway, the plan doesn't specify so I guess it would be up to Hazou's judgement. I'll just take it out for now, if anyone has any strong feelings about it they can argue for it.

What do people think of also going through Kagome's journals etc. for mentions of Mari and including them in our list of nice things quietly?
I think that it might be worthwhile to emphasize the different ways she's made an impact on people's lives, and the different relationships she has with them, to possibly underscore the point that everyone sees Mari differently but positively (many Maris, all good) but I don't know if she'd just dismiss that.
This is the vibe I'm going for.

I'm assuming that the notable feature of Leaf executions is that they are scheduled for a single date rather than that they take a full 24 hours.
She was a complete sociopath. Every time she came back from a mission any emotional connection she had to anybody was dead and gone.

- Go someplace interesting on the Seventh Path.
- Tell that bastard Mizuki to take a message with him to the other side before he goes: hold tight, we know. We're coming. He'll understand when he gets there.
- Take a mission to Sarubetsu. Go Uplift and generally unfuck the town as much as possible. Make it a better place than you left it last time.
- Spend a week doing Sealing research:
- Dimensional-Space Wobble Seal
- A multi-element seal that warps space in the area inside the elements. Test to see if it bends light and alters the trajectory of small thrown objects (berries!). If space-time thingies were easy, then everyone would be doing it, so don't hesitate to go overboard on the restrictions and requirements, even to the points of uselessness outside of a laboratory setting.
- Oh, and double-check with Kagome on it. If he doesn't think we can do it, do backup research.
- Backup research: Figure out what the Isan seals do, reverse-engineer them IFF Kagome thinks we can.
- If Hazou can't handle that either, research bigger storage seals.

Do the turtles of the Seventh Path share an ancestor with the mundane turtles we'd find on the Human Path?
Specifically: is Kamushafuto a teenage mutant ninja turtle?
