Erm. My objection is that, without the Hana section being... sufficiently-depthful, we're not actually using this planning cycle to do much. Advance time, have a single on-screen conversation, and... that's it.

e: I guess there's the conversation with Kei/Noburi and the meditation thing too.

I could always add "Challenge Anko to a duel, and Sasuke Uchiha to a spar." if that does the trick on "Exciting!" stuff? :p

  1. Get info in private about Keiko's discussions with Hana, to the extent that she is willing to share.
  2. Ask Noburi and Keiko in brief about what can be said on the topics below. This overrides any later actions.
    • Mari, and her circumstance,
      • (expectation: Keiko already spilled the beans, so we should be able to talk)
    • our political reality,
    • our ability to make demands,
    • anything else worth noting.
  3. Meet Hana
    • Whenever referring to Gōketsu where you would otherwise use their name, say mom/brother/sister/etc.
      • Aim: quietly highlight that their status as family is a settled matter.
    • As Hazō prefers to word it, open roughly:
      • From my perspective you have aggressed the Hokage's wife, you seem undaunted of any risk that the Hokage will find out that you have done so (a situation I would be unable, either in duty or in practice, to hide), you have threatened your own post by doing so, and in consequence your own security and the political foundations that even enable us to meet, you have attacked one of the people I love and respect the most in this world, which feels like fucking shit by the way, and you have almost certainly destroyed my ability to trust you to be part of my new family, something I was really hoping I could ground myself with amidst all the crap that's going on. And then on top of that you have also undermined the safety of me and you and every single person in this godforsaken world as you know full well that this is a tipping point in Leaf-Mist relations, and it is especially a delicate time for me and my clan given I was a missing nin a few months ago. @Veedrac Does "Whenever referring to Gōketsu where you would otherwise use their name, say mom/brother/sister/etc." indicate that Hazou refers to Mari as Mom? Because he doesn't actually think of her that way.
 
I haven't been available much today to discuss things, but I'd just like to remind people to consider how Hazou feels about Hana before planning his interactions with her. It looks to me like a lot of people are upset with Hana about what she's done to Mari, with good reason, but then expect Hazou to mirror the same resentment against Hana. In reality, Hazou's emotional connection with Hana is far stronger than any emotions we feel for Hana and that will cause Hazou's behaviour with respect to her to diverge from what we would do in his shoes.

Hazou voicing his grievances to Hana and asking her to do better is something I can see him doing. Hazou ranting at her and implying that he might reject her as family if she keeps this up is strongly not something I can see him doing. Even if you disagree with how I model Hazou and Hana, please at least be careful that you're not treating Hazou like a pure self-insert, we gave up total control a good while ago and asking Hazou to behave significantly OOC will not turn out the way you hope.

Continuing to mope around won't solve anything. We're going to try to be more active, get Mari involved if possible, and solidify Hazou's position on uplift -- they have explicit missions for this now!

Mindsets:
  • It's time to start doing more actionable items towards achieving our uplift goals
  • Regardless of what Mari's done, she's family, needs support, and has and will support us.
  • Hana, as much as Hazou loves her has caused problems, and needs to know attacking Mari means less time with us, since it means we have to shoulder more burdens.
Primary Actions:
  • Take at least one uplift mission a day -- it is, after all, directly achieving our goals of improving lives while making us money. Prioritize construction requests. Encourage Noburi and Keiko to take uplift missions as well.
  • Make sure that somebody eats or interacts with Mari at least twice a day.
  • When interacting with Mari next, mention that we'd like to have Sasuke over for dinner, but Jiraiya has required that Mari chaperone. Request that she kindly get her act together enough to chaperonage for us. Regardless of if she's a monster or belongs in our world, she's our mother and in charge of the clan, and we'd like her help achieving our goals.
  • Spend less time with Hana, mention that it's because we need to spend more time with the clan, largely due to her attempts to dehumanize Mari.
Misc (In priority order):
  • Make sure our seal loadout is completed
  • Hazou goes to the Tower:
    • Hand in Explosives Tax (if completed).
    • Check out available seal blanks/blueprints/research notes
      • Look at every single one, trace the blueprints/notes with a finger while reading.
      • Intent: Iron Nerve to memorize it all. Just in case.
  • Start putting into practice the Ino's suggested Orgy Night Disinfo Campaign
  • Give Jiraiya the Oyabun's package
  • Train with Ebisu
  • If feasible and simple, create the Vibration-Sensor seal according to Keiko suggested specs.
    • If there is additional time (and Kagome clears it, etc.), change functionality to cone, allowing multiple seals to roughly track directionality

Could you change the last bulletpoint in the Hana portion to be more proactive?

We already know that Hazou loves his mom, but instead of (THING AS IS), we could put

  • Envelope Momma in a bear crushing hug.
    • Hazou will always love you the most-est.

Or something like that.

I don't think that's actually any more helpful to the point being made.
 
Also, for what it's worth, I will vote for anyone's plan which involves doing uplift missions. Those things are almost exactly aligned with our goals, aside from not being the most money useful use of our time. Doing them:
  • Demonstrates commitment to our uplift case
  • Signals to others (i.e. Tsunade, Orochimaru, Akatsuki, whomever) that we're actually doing something for uplift
  • Helps reinforce Jiraiya's call to create the missions
  • Establishes Hazou as a known face to civilians, potentially letting us build a network of contacts in the countryside.
  • Familiarizes Hazou with the lay of the land, should he ever need to spend time on the run in the countryside.
  • Provides Hazou with something to do which will help give him a concrete goal and validation of usefulness
