Does anyone remember what level of consequences Banshees inflict?

No, @Noumero's right. What we should do is smash them and steal their documents; then (once we've taken care of our own Red Team) smash the other Red Teams.

And the other Blue teams, if possible. Even just destroying their documents would prevent their side from scoring 50 points.

Also, suicide bomber clones are a legit tactic here for us.

Wait. Do we get points for turning in other groups' documents?

No, only the target documents.

There's really more to it then

1) Do X strategy as Red Team

2) Do Y strategy as Blue Team

The order we are which one matters heavily since what we do in round 1 greatly impacts round 2

Oh yeah, I will observe that Moderate Consequences that exist at the end of the second round will probably cost us points even if they were also there at the beginning of the second round (i.e., they were inflicted during the first round). Which means no matter what we're going to be losing points, since Mist will 100% give us all the guys with Moderate Consequences and say haha fuck you.

Eh, I think that one would be hard to argue to the other villages. This is actually case where game mechanics are fighting simulation a bit. Fate only lets you have one moderate consequence slot, but there's no reason you can't have both a sprained ankle and a concussion in-universe.

I think the optimal strategy on offense is literally to beat everyone but our red team into the ground and put them in a cell.

Edit: IF WE ARE ON OFFENSE IN THE *SECOND* ROUND.

It is quite risky to go all out on the first round. If we just start steamrolling entire teams we will get ganked by multiple teams the second round (especially if we're on defense the second round). My proposal is that we should play the first round relatively by the books and then unleash hell in the second round.

Also a consideration for meddling with other zones, if proctors show up and block the way then we need to make sure not to hurt them. I expect after the first round the proctors will start doing that if they don't from the get go.

Depends on proctor judgement, so probably yes. Dragging red team members over from other sites would also be a huge pain. I'd say inflicting consequences and tanking them that way should be enough.
But if they are inside a cell at rounds end they get 0 positive points, but lose all points they should lose anyway.

Dragging other red team members into cells is absolutely worth it since it removes any possible gains they could get for that round.

This ensures they will get a net decrease in points from having members of (their) red team in a cell at rounds end

Hazou: I define a cell as the space I am not occupying!

Proctors: Ha ha fuck you.

So I'm 100% on board with the current idea of attacking other teams. However I think we still need to cull the ranks of top teams to make it more manageable. Any one who we eliminate now is one less competitor that we have to eliminate in the event itself

Okay, so I think it actually doesn't matter where we start:

Round 1: Play this honestly (adhere to the spirit of the event). Try to flawless victory vs all teams of the other color and then set up the battlefield for the next round. We can't just troll everyone of our color because we have to work with those assholes next round.

Round 2: Tableflip Central: here is where, regardless of what color we are, the optimal strategy is to beat the living snot out of all other teams of our color and every team of the opposing color. Of course specific strategy with respect to that changes depending on if we are blue or red this round

No we don't? They're mixing up the squads between rounds so we know they aren't in our group in the second.
When I say our Team in round one I'm referring to {All teams who are our color}.

The set of possible teammates for round 2 is the same set as this one.

I thought beating the snot out of people wasn't viable because we get negative points for all the injuries?

Ah, that make more sense. Yet I still feel that we should screw over all the other squads for the simple reason that we have to make everyone else lose hard, even if we're red side (making people score negative points is so critical).

Only for Severe injuries.

No.

The scoring is done in individual Teams.

So if we are Blue Team 3 that round, we do not do anything but assist Blue Team 3.

However we are free to mercilessly destroy Blue Team 2 or Red Team 1-4
