    He still doesn't open his eyes. "Go on, girl, make your case."

    "I...kind of...already have? Once? By accident!"

    For a long moment, your Sensei doesn't move or even breathe. Then he lets out a long sigh, shifting his weight forward until his head sits in his hands. "What."

    You whet your lips and swallow. "It was...um...two...years ago?"

    "Explain."

    "I was training my presentsight like you said, and I wound up in somebody's mind!" you say, cringing at his tone. "I didn't mean to, I just wound up there! I don't know if it'll happen again. That's why I'm asking; I wanted to learn how to avoid getting in more trouble. I mean, you said no, so that's fine, but-"

    "Who?"

    You blink as Sensei stands. "What?"

    "Whose mind? You need to find them, right now, get down on your knees, and beg their forgiveness for the trespass. You will explain that it was unintentional, I shall grab one of my Sorcerer friends to swear the person you visited to secrecy about the whole chat before sending them out of earshot, and you will immediately convince your Lord Father to offer whatever recompense is necessary. The mind is sacrosanct, Kakara. You do not enter it, not without permission and as a last resort even then. When you're there, the other person by default can't see you or detect you until you're already touching something. Anybody whose mind you enter is in far more danger than you'll ever be. So you're going to offer your apologies, and I am going to start drilling you on this immediately. It's not your fault, but this cannot happen again. Done intentionally, tampering with somebody's mind is a hideous and abhorrent breach of trust. So yes. I will teach you Mind Projection. Because apparently the standard regimen simply isn't going to take in your case." He slumps back down into his chair, looking decidedly more frazzled than he was a minute ago. "Now: who was it?"

    You bite your lip and fiddle with your hands. "Um..."

    His eyes narrow. "Scion Kakara..."

    You laugh nervously. "Well, you see..."

    "Answer me immediately."

    The post after this one will fold in your Command Training, the Conspiracy Council, and "The Examined Life" action with the arrival of the scouts, once the situation with Sensei is resolved. That's correct; Year 3 concludes with the next update!

    Having backed herself into a corner, Kakara is now faced with the prospect of having to tell her teacher in the Sight, Carrick Balor, that she found herself in Jaffur Vegeta's mind! Will the Scion come clean with the truth, or will the arrival of the scouts, barely a month away, see her withhold the information to avoid complications in this delicate time?     Oh bloody hell, I would have argued against this if I'd seen it.

    I honestly don't see much difference between the vote from Gilliam or it's modification by Deathbybunnies. Also don't see much difference between their votes and mine! So I'm pretty happy with whatever winning at the moment.

    Anybody else put in mind of that part in DBZA where Goku continues to be stupid and yet able to stand up to Freeza and freeza just tilts and there's a sound effect of creaking wood?

    Cause that's what I got from this line.
