Honestly I don't care about the time in school. I like the training for Tien style. I almost switched but then I got an alert saying that the votes were tied and deicided to wait...
Hey, we discussed it and agreed we were going to spend 2 actions training Tien style next year instead of this year if my plan won. I just think Ki Manipulation is more useful, both in the long run and for training if we aren't immediately fighting (the invasion arrives in 3 years, and we aren't springing Jaffur this year either way.)

I'll note that the training hall has apartments because there are Saiyans who live their whole lives in Saiyan form because they don't like the masque. Maintaining an active and involved human persona clearly isn't mandatory, or even expected.

Crazy idea, but, speaking of Tien, what about just using a Super-Saiyan-boosted Containment Wave to seal the whole planet inside a rice cooker until the scouts have checked out the system and decided that there's nothing there?
You leave somebody outside, or slap a timed C-4 charge on the container.

How do you keep people from starving to death inside? There's clearly some sort of stasis at work.
Okay, putting aside a.) risks to the Masquerade and b.) questions of logistics (sun, food, who lets everyone out, etc.), frankly I'm not sure if we can assume that the Evil Containment Wave, which was a single-target spell-technique-thing that could barely handle the likes of the Demon King Piccolo could actually be made to hide a planet that includes multiple fighters whose powers are on par with Perfect Cell, let alone the large number of single-digit-millions power level Saiyans.

@PoptartProdigy has emphasized a couple of times that Magic works on concepts.
The concept of the Evil Containment Wave is "contain a single bad guy and seal them away forever".
This is a completely different concept, and so what would need to happen is that every sorcerer, including Dandelor (who's in hiding!), would need to pool their power, intellect, and experience, to have even the slightest chance of managing this idea.
I mean, who's to say that a spell (or set of spells) that accomplishes, essentially, either hiding this whole star system in a dimensional pocket, and/or putting up a giant "Notice Me Not/Not My Problem" field, hasn't been the subject of research since Sorcery first made an appearance?
How do you know that this isn't something that's been tried, is being tried?

I get that there's this compulsive need to Munchkin the hell out of literally everything and anything, but one thing I like in this quest is that @PoptartProdigy has made explicit steps to either say "no, you can't make that stupid cheese combo work because that's not how this works", or has made it clear certain actions and trends have consequences.

Yes, but this sort of 'agreement' tends to be forgotten by the next vote.

As @Aranfan pointed out, it was also "agreed" that this year there wouldn't be slacking (since it happened last year).

Basically this.

Yeah, but this isn't an agreement as a concession to the other side, this is both sides agreeing that, on balance, they actually want to train Tien style next year.

That was surely contingent on us dropping the grade, which we didn't? I wasn't there.

No it wasn't.

Your side already broke its promises once

NEVER SLACK OFF!

GOD WE GET IT WE ALL HATE EACH OTHER AND THE OTHER SIDE IS DUMB AND WE'RE RIGHT 100% HOW CAN THEY NOT SEE IT < Said everyone on both sides

please close the votes this is getting us nowhere
I'd rather the choice is determined by a coinflip than by anymore "debating"

Plan Deathbybunnies
Slack (1 action)
Train Ki Manipulation (2 actions)
New Tricks (1 action) Telepathy
The Examined Life (1 action) Driven
If we think it'll help, ask our family for their thoughts

Plan Aranfan
Maintain Grades (2 actions):
Learn Tenshinhan Style x2
Train with Sensei

From what I can tell, these are the differences between the main plans. Personally, I prefer the latter plan for various reasons:
Slack vs Maintain: Whilst normally Slacking would be preferable, we have actions that we're keeping secret from our parents, so we can't really explain why we're not spending enough time on schoolwork. And I don't want to risk dropping a grade. And if we actually make a bit of effort we'll get on better with our friends. Worth the extra action IMO.

Tien style vs Ki Manipulation: Tien style has no downsides, and it will give bonuses to multiform technique. Two actions negates (and more) the penalty from Pacifism, and I am pretty sure the style itself will give a bonus in combat in some way?

Train with Sensei vs Telepathy: We already have the beg Sensei for Projection training, which if we fail to convince him will roll into another training session for Seer. IMO, considering how important our visions have been so far (Jaffur's awake, aliens), the possibility of doubling up on Seer training seems like a good thing (though Mind Projection is better).

Driven, I think can wait a Year, especially since it doesn't seem immediately useful (though I suppose it does give us an extra action?).

This is, at the end of the day, for fun.
I admit, I probably spend way too much time going over various options deciding which would be most optimal. Large votes with many options scare me. I feel an urge to optimise, but I know I'll get tunnel vision and end up bogged down in hypotheticals.

Note this overview is biased, as I voted Aranfan. Hope it helps.
