Not really. Bear in mind, my assumption is that Kakara does the minimum needed to maintain friendships unless you all specifically decide to let something wither.
Oh, good. I was wavering a little about not doing anything with her, but if we're maintaining the relationship by default then I'm fine with not putting specific actions towards it.

@PoptartProdigy am I right in thinking that if we fail to convince Sensei to teach us about Mind Projection we'll spend that action doing regular seer training? And would Grandma be willing to teach us telepathy, or is she too busy?

I will point out that last turn a lot of people who voted for me insisted that we not slack this year.
I think that was because people were worried about slipping grades. While I personally feel that our unique situation and the fact we're far ahead of our peers in several areas (Calculus! At 10!) makes this really unimportant, our grades did not in fact slip last year, and even while slacking again we are likely to once again not suffer any drawbacks:
Effect: Possible grade loss. You're smart and this is primary school, you you have a decent chance of not dropping a grade.

That's correct.

Bear in mind that not all school is math. Kakara has had a very focused education.

Hang on, I just realised that even if you consider primary school grades to actually be a thing we care about (note: you really shouldn't) we should pick Slack anyway. Ironically enough, I used maths!

Let's say we want to maintain our grades over two turns. We can do this one of three ways:
  1. We pick Maintain Grades twice, for 2*2=4 actions (dear god please no)
  2. We pick Slack, and don't fail the relatively easy roll 1*2 = 2 actions (or 1+2 = 3 actions if we decide to Maintain Grades next turn anyway, but that's dumb because of the same maths that says it's dumb this turn)
  3. We pick Slack, fail the skill check, and next turn make up for it by choosing to Raise Grades on a roll we "should almost certainly succeed." 1+3 = 4 actions
So even if we pick Slack, we end up with the same grades - and we have a better than even chance of spending an entire 2 less actions!

Also, not going to lie, if we pick Slack and fail then we can totally decide that since as future Lady we care more about Saiyan stuff than our Masque job and that Bs are perfectly acceptable grades and we won't be forced into degenerate homelessness for not getting straight As. But we'll cross that bridge when we get to it!

MATHEMATICS TRIUMPHS AGAIN!

And this is why I don't want us to slack. I want Kakara to care about the world outside of the saiyan shit, and our Grades are the most direct proxy for that.

Not true, our friends are the most direct proxy for that. In comparison, our primary school grades don't even rate, unless Kakara's secretly a sociopath and I haven't noticed.

*points to Lailoken*

Edit: also, our friends don't want us to slack off too much.
SHHH HE'LL NOTICE

Seriously though, we're about to go war and are plotting high treason and we're still spending two actions with our Masqued friends, even before our default relationship maintenance. I promise if we ever get an update where Kakara stops thinking of Garenhulders as people we'll do something about it.

Counter Edit: They're just worried about our future, lacking information.
DOUBLE COUNTER EDIT: Editing, then deleting the edit and posting it as a new post entirely? You'll pay for this!

If a doesn't end up getting absolutely perfect grades throughout her entire academic career without ever investing another action in studying it means that we've been neglecting seer training.

-but, whatev's, she's marrying rich!

The people we saw were the dictators. The highest ranking people are always the most powerful.
While that's usually been the case in DBZ for dramatic effect, it's not necessarily true in this case - especially since this is the first time we've had an outside context villain in this quest.... man, I really hope my plan wins.

The number of people who can defeat a newly-transformed Super Saiyan are rare as balls when counting everyone in the universe. We can expect to easily be able to defeat damn near everyone as a Full Power Super Saiyan and even with 60% of our base power it would be enough to do the same.

...Is there a specific law against that? I haven't been giving the Garenhuldians enough credit.
Well Technically it would just be that they get pulled into saiyan society and forced to marry into it when their of age, or we'd have to convince them we were just lying unless we gave proof.

However we are the Scion, it's not to much to expect that one of the future rulers would be held to a different standard when it came to upholding the masque, especially when the masque is one of the few things making sure our entire society isn't murderised by space satan

Sure, but it's been established that a group of weaker fighters can defeat a Super Saiyan already in this quest - in fact, it's been established a single regular Saiyan could do it. And we don't just have to beat the entire army of unknown strength coming our way, we have to crush it so badly there's no survivors, no escapees, no last-minute-transmissions telling other people about us... all without letting the Garenhuldians (Garenhulders? I think I keep using different terms...) notice the massive armada-annihilating space battle.

This isn't a trivial threat.

Perhaps we should do The Examined Life on Driven? It gives us an extra action per turn so developing it will probably give us another action as well as more willpower.

Garenhulders.

That is the only thing in all of the above post that requires responding to. Yes. :lol
