Hahaha, you think things won't thoroughly go to hell?

In a Quest?

There's no such thing as a routine event.

Take my word for it, even if what we have now seems good enough--you are never good enough unless you take steps to be good enough.
Point, but my meaning was that if things have gone that thoroughly to hell, we probably don't have to worry about the Masquerade anymore anyway.

I believe it should be in "train a specific skill".
Yeah, you're probably right. I'll have to try to juggle harder to get some Ki talents training in.

I will also point out that school is where damn near all of our friends are.
Sure, but we're still going to school; in fact, if we put less effort into studying, we spend more of our time there interacting with our friends! It's a win-win! And I think the other two actions involving our friends will be enough.

I am putting together plan aranfan here.

[] Plan Aranfan

Masque
-[] Maintain Grades (2 actions): You're good where you are. Let's just get the effort in to stick it out and then focus on other things. Effect: Maintain grades.
[] Best Fit (1 action): Jaron has been brought into the Misfits, but as reclusive as he is he doesn't seem to know how to make the effort to really push into the group's dynamic. It's up to you and your friends to make him feel welcome, and this is your part in it. Effect: Do your part to make Jaron feel welcome in the group.
[] Nosy Little Girl (1 action): You've noticed lately that Maya has been acting...strangely. She's been giving you strange looks, and only recently stopped, starting to act a lot more comfortable around you. Maybe you're being paranoid, but you want to know what's up. Effects: Poke Maya, asking her what's up.

4/13 used

Saiyan, Combat
[] Learn Tenshinhan Style x2
[] Train Multiform
[] Command Training

8/13 used

Saiyan, Noncombat
[] Train with Sensei
[] Family First
[] A Scion's Duty III
[] Get organized

12/13

These are the things I feel are essential, and I have a flex slot.

While I do think that Tienshinhan style is the first one we should learn, two actions on it is something I don't feel is necessary. We would be getting the first level of it so the check would not be big. It would probably be better to drop one of the 2 tien actions in order to

[] Beg Sensei To Teach You [Mind Projection]
and
[ ] Sound Out Sensei

with cookies placed on sounding him out.

While I do think that Tienshinhan style is the first one we should learn, two actions on it is something I don't feel is necessary.

I want to get as far as possible as fast as possible. Also, Poptart said that if we spent two actions on learning a style it would more than offset the malus we get from pacifist for learning a style. So I really think that we should spend two actions on it.

Wow, I've apparently underestimated how much people wanted to learn this. Should I drop something from my plan to include it, and if so, what? I'm loathe to drop learning a new style for the Golden Oozaruu, since I think it'll end up being our "main" style for serious fights...

Golden Oozaru unless @PoptartProdigy has a fighting style for the Oozaru in mind?

I do not. What did you have in mind?

What is she feeling when she says this? Because I could see just kind of realization and face-palming or disappointment.

Just realization, this time.

Telepathy shouldn't need a "new tricks" thing, since it's an established part of the universe.

That's a good point! Where do you think it should go, then? I'd like to try and have it as something we spend time learning, and then learn other tricks if it turns out we finish before the time is up - it's a ki trick, and we're a ki prodigy.

...so that's why nobody's voted for it so far. "New Tricks" doesn't mean new things in general -- they just mean new things for you. Telepathy is under "New Tricks" for this purpose.

*flashbacks to "Boundless Profits"*

I do not. What did you have in mind?
Well, I was thinking it should play to the form's obvious strengths and weaknesses; we're significantly larger than pretty much anyone we'll be fighting, we're stupidly powerful, and our speed is penalised. So a style that focuses on being a huge, overpowering opponent and seeks to mitigate our speed deficit - possibly with large-area attacks, given that' we're a ki prodigy.

It is under new tricks! I'll put it back.

I can work that into fluff pretty easily, yeah. The fun part is working out the involved and penalized techniques, though. :D Any thoughts there?

Could we possibly get a full list of techniques that can be involved or penalized?

Oh, and here's my updated plan:

[] Plan Deathbybunnies V2

[] Slack (1 action): You have better things to do! Slack off on schoolwork to focus on other pursuits. Effect: Possible grade loss. You're smart and this is primary school, you you have a decent chance of not dropping a grade.
[ ]Nosy Little Girl (1 action): You've noticed lately that Maya has been acting...strangely. She's been giving you strange looks, and only recently stopped, starting to act a lot more comfortable around you. Maybe you're being paranoid, but you want to know what's up. Effects: Poke Maya, asking her what's up.
3/13

[ ] Train Ki Manipulation (2 actions): You already have something of a gift in this, although again Jaffur proved more skilled in the combat applications. Maybe you could close that gap. Effect: Train your skill in ki manipulation, and thereby your facility in its involved talents. You are enough of a prodigy that you would suffer no maluses to improvement here.
[ ] Command Training (1 action): You will be expected to lead your Clan if war comes. You may as well be good at it. Effect: Learn the art of battlefield command. Gain "Leadership" skill and set your starting skill level. Your mindset won't impact you as badly here.
5/13

[ ] Train Style [Tenshinhan] (1 action): You've gained a comprehensive library of styles, and can now choose to pick one to begin training in if you please.
[ ] Create Style (2 actions): Your path is your own. You will build a style for yourself. Effect: Invest immense time and energy into building a form from the ground up. It won't be easy, and given your mindset you may fail, but the rewards are potentially enormous. Work closely with your QM to determine the mechanics. -Golden Oozaru unless @PoptartProdigy has a fighting style for the Oozaru in mind?
9/13

[ ] Train With Sensei (1 action): Nothing for it but time. Effect: Grind your talent in Seer abilities. Sensei tells you that this will be gruelingly hard, and take years to master no matter how much of a prodigy you are.
10/13

[ ] A Scion's Duties III (1 action): You have a comprehensive knowledge of the way Clan Goku functions, a general overview of Clan Vegeta, and are an effective and renowned communicator. It's time to finish your theoretical education by completing your knowledge of Clan Vegeta and expanding your training in how to manipulate and mediate between others. Effect: Learn the art of diplomacy and Clan management at the feet of your father, improving your Communication and Intrigue skills and learning about the practical side of managing hundreds upon thousands of Saiyans who all want a fight.
11/13

[ ] Get Organized (1 action): Presently your conspiracy is more like two separate plots running in tandem; you and the Senzus, and then whatever Grandma is doing. You need to get everybody in the same room together so that you all can unify your efforts and share all available information. Effects: Figure out just what Grandma has been up to and what assets she can lend to things. Share information and work out a unified plan of action. As this involves you, Grandma, and the Senzus in the same room at the very least even before including anybody you bring in this year, this is highly treasonous and will involve an event series. The possibility of discovery does exist, although with your current precautions is fairly unlikely.
12/13

[ ] New Tricks (1 action): You are a prodigy in ki use. Surely you should be able to figure out some new techniques. Effect: Discover a new ki talent, if applicable. -Telepathy
13/13

{
[ ] Study Magic (1 action): You aren't a Sorcerer, and you're slightly relieved about that, to be honest. But it remains significant to you, and you want to study it. Effect: Begin scholarship into the ways of magic. - Focus on defending against it
I'd like to include this, but since we aren't going up against Dandeer yet we can probably defer it for a year or two.

}

Could we possibly get a full list of techniques that can be involved or penalized?
I felt like being cheeky and linking to the character sheet for this for a moment. ;) If it's a style that you're creating, by necessity it can only involve techniques that Kakara knows. Now, it'll take some time -- enough that you can learn techniques next year and incorporate them into the style as it develops -- but any technique with a use in combat can be involved. Penalized skills I mostly draw from whatever the involved techniques don't cover.

You know, that's fair enough. I'll browse our sheet.

Well, it is not like we want to learn it more tan having a new style but that learning already existing styles help when creating a new one and both Tien and Goku have a lot of skills that would be beneficial.

Right now, there are two things that seems like would be a good basis for our style, the fact that we are a seer and that we are a Golden Oozaru. One of those is useful for normal fights and the other for stronger opponents.

Sincé we are a seer, we can learn ki blocking which would be a huge advantage on fights. Sincé you have to hit the enemy to use it, we would want something that makes it easier to hit the enemy. For this, we can use the Four Witches technique from Tien's style, Taioken from Tien's style and Goku style strong CQC focus to neutralize them and IT to close in to them.

Then we have the Golden Oozaru. Oozaru has the advantage of huge vitality and the disadvantage of speed. Because of its huge vitality, Oozaru can better resist Kaioken which could offset its speed problema. Plus, since Tien's style also teaches to use life forcé to power attacks and Oozaru has excess of it, Kikoho and Shinkikoho are perfect for beam battles which is where Golden oozaru would be strongest. Plus IT offsets the speed problem since Dad integrated it seamessly to Goku Style.

Furthermore, with the way Oozaru works we can use multiform without it biggest issue by having one copy transform into it and the other fight normally or with kaioken.

So because of all the advantages they bring, we wanted to learn Goku and Tien so that we can use some of their involved techniques when creating a style so that we do it right the first time, along with Ki blocking and some área attacks like kiai or some aura that hurts those who come near or homing attacks. We are focusing on Tien first even though we would have a lot of bonus to learning Goku Style since Mum has Elite level teaching because Tien style gives bonus to learning Multiform if done in the same turn, which would give us extra actions.

We want to figure out what works and have some technique to integrate into it before developing a style so that we can cover for any weakness.

I want to get as far as possible as fast as possible. Also, Poptart said that if we spent two actions on learning a style it would more than offset the malus we get from pacifist for learning a style. So I really think that we should spend two actions on it.

First step should be easy enough that even with the malus we could learn it with one action. Using two of them should be saved for later stages when we actually need them. What we do need is to learn [Mind Projection] since it is a vital step in our plan to free Jaffur, more so than learning to fight. Specially since we don't need to win against Dad but stall him if it ever comes to a fight over breaking the seal, enough to hide him under Dandelor's

I do have a flex slot in my plan left over. How would you feel if that was filled with Mind Projection training from Sensei? That would give us both what we want.

Didn't we turn Golden to block our brothers attack? We could do something with that, like a wave of ki?
I like it!

Those are good points. @PoptartProdigy when designing the style, how badly would we be penalised for changing the style later on to include newly learned skills/things from other styles, and possibly change our involved/penalizeds?

If we defer the Golden Oozaruu style, I can use those two slots on Mind Projection and sounding Sensei out - but while the first is fairly obviously a good idea, are we sure we want to bring sensei on board? We have no way of knowing how he feels about the sealing/rebellion etc., and there's a good chance just getting his opinions will give us away (as the action states)

I kind of assumed you would have made that choice anyways since it makes sense. Still, the only difference between your plan and what I want is that 2 actions to Tien Style would give a bonus to learning said style while sounding out sensei (successfully) would give a bonus to learning Mind Projection. I still think that we should focus on the Projection but I am not about to Split the votes over such a small difference and I get that some would be wary of sounding sensei since it might ruin our plans if it fails.

We could always learn more about Seer-ing first, then Sound him out later. Waiting a year shouldn't hurt too much?

As for GOozaru style, I'd rather wait a bit for that one as well. We can learn more techniques of our own first, before we develop it into an actual style (plus it saves us AP).

My plan has been updated to reflect this.

My plan is completed.
This plan looks good. Have you considered Slacking with the grades? If we do that, we could spend the last action on Improving Masque affinity via more sparring. Not only would that, you know, improve Masque affinity, but if we include Jaron in the sparring, something might happen there? Like, Dandeer might try and stop us, but it's not like we weren't doing it anyway on our own.

Wecould always learn more about Seer-ing first, then Sound him out later. Waiting a year shouldn't hurt too much?
I think this sounds like a good idea - it'll give us time to ask the other members of Our Cunning Plan for their opinion on bringing sensei in, which I think we should do - there's every chance they'll know something that will make the decision for us one way or the other. And even if it doesn't, they ought to be able to help us find a good way of convincing him, were we to ask him.

I'm surprised people aren't more enthusiastic about telepathy? Aside from just being really cool, it will help in several ways:
-Social situations, where you want/need to ask someone for information or discuss things without giving away that you're doing so
-We can talk to people from a distance, so we can talk to people and pretend we're one place or doing one thing while doing another. This leads into:
-It'll help us conceal all the sneaky stuff we're plotting!
And also, it's really cool.

Apparently we're training multiform and Tien style because it'll give us more actions in the future! I completely missed this. Plan update ho!

6/13

[ ] Train Style [Tenshinhan] (1 action): You've gained a comprehensive library of styles, and can now choose to pick one to begin training in if you please.
[ ] Train Specific Skill (1 action, may be taken multiple times): As you train your skill in an overall field, your skill at individual techniques will rise to match it, but maybe you can focus on something in particular. Effect: Choose a specific Skill you wish to train or learn. Crowd fighting? Fighting in a team? Specific ki projection techniques like the Kikoho? Odder stuff, like the multiform? (ask your GM for an extended list of techniques if you're not sure) This would give a higher chance of success than simply training the whole related field. -Multiform
8/13

[ ] Train With Sensei (1 action): Nothing for it but time. Effect: Grind your talent in Seer abilities. Sensei tells you that this will be gruelingly hard, and take years to master no matter how much of a prodigy you are.
[ ] Beg Sensei To Teach You [Write-In Specific Technique] (1 action): Waiting is boring. Effect: Make a hard Communication check to convince Sensei to deviate from his plan and then train the skill selected. More likely to succeed if taken with a successful, "Sound Out Sensei," action and you convince him that this skill is useful for the conspiracy. I'll tell you if what you want to learn is not a thing. -Mind Projection

12/13

[ ] New Tricks (1 action): You are a prodigy in ki use. Surely you should be able to figure out some new techniques. Effect: Discover a new ki talent, if applicable. -Telepathy
13/13

Didn't make the cut:
[ ] Study Magic (1 action): You aren't a Sorcerer, and you're slightly relieved about that, to be honest. But it remains significant to you, and you want to study it. Effect: Begin scholarship into the ways of magic. - Focus on defending against it
I'd like to include this, but since we aren't going up against Dandeer yet we can probably defer it for a year or two.

-Golden Oozaru
We're probably deferring this until we have more styles/moves to work with.

EDIT: Just realised I was copy/pasting a callout to poptart everytime I copy/pasted this. Sorry!

Aranfan would probably tell you that slacking is a bad habit and we should try to avoid it.

I will add that an education is an important part of the masquerade since we will need a job once we are adults and we are too Smart to not realice this without raising suspiscions. That having good grades would give us more options when the time comes to choose that. That having good grades would be a good influence on our Friends. That Gohan would probably tell us about the importance of an education. That some players can't in good concience make her slack given the importance our culture places in intelligence and knowledge (even if in real life we don't follow that example). That it would open options in case that as a later date we decide to bring closer both worlds since intelligence commands respect. That havin an education lends authority if we also want to be influential in the human world.

Also, Jaron apparently has good grades and LIKE HELL ARE WE LOSING TO JAFFUR IN ANYTHING AGAIN WITH THE HEAD START WE ARE GETTING OVER HIM!

But it's a primary school education, and we already know calculus. We're currently coasting at an A-; maybe we'll drop to a B for the year, who cares? If it's important, we can trivially easily catch up at a time when we aren't being stretched 6 ways to Sunday between plots, seer training, regular training and a war effort. A single letter grade is frankly not a big deal, and even if we were getting straight Fs we could later get a job involving mathematics if we had to.

And jeeze, we're going to outstrip Jaffur in basically every way that matters when the poor guy finally gets out of his prison; maybe let him have this one thing, as a balm for his pride? He'll probably need it, and it might give him something to be grateful to Jaron for.

Anyone have any comments about my updated plan?

We are in elementary /middle school and preparing for a alien invasion we can slack a little plus, when gohan was prepping for his first invasion he lived in the wilds for a year.

@PoptartProdigy a while ago you said we'd be hitting an age upgrade for willpower. Is that this year or next year?

Another point for telepathy - unless we gear up with scouters, it's probably the only way to communicate in space.

I'm going to reformat my plan without all the extra text, to make it easier to read:

That having an education lends authority if we also want to be influential in the human world.
Fair enough. It says we have a decent chance of not dropping a grade anyway, and it is only primary school, but I suppose I don't mind which we do.
Also, Jaron apparently has good grades and LIKE HELL ARE WE LOSING TO JAFFUR IN ANYTHING AGAIN WITH THE HEAD START WE ARE GETTING OVER HIM!
As bunnies said, we have a large headstart on Jaffur anyway. Though considering our first fight, being ahead of him might not make much difference. *Watches as Jaffur makes 10 Willpower checks in a row to pass primary school in a single year*
Anyone have any comments about my updated plan?

From what I can tell, these are the main differences between yours and Aranfan's plans. I will probably go for Aranfan's plan, as it seems like it'd be more efficient? Tien stylex2 as opposed to x1 means more progress on the Multiform (plus it outweighs the penalty from Pacifist). Ki manipulation seems like it isn't focused enough? Like, it'd be nice to have, but it's not necessary now. Same with Telepathy. Family First is also something I want to do now, as letting it fester seems wrong (and OOC for Kakara).

And jeeze, we're going to outstrip Jaffur in basically every way that matters when the poor guy finally gets out of his prison; maybe let him have this one thing, as a balm for his pride? He'll probably need it, and it might give him something to be grateful to Jaron for.
NEVER!

It does seem like a good alternative if you don't care about grades or our brother being a little shit over him wanting to be a super saiyan. Granted, we don't have enemies that could use him as a pretender against us if they convince him he deserves to be super saiyan more tan us but the more we wait to solve our issues with him, the harder they will become since he will become used to think ill of us.

Wait, how does that even work? Is Aranfan's plan exceded in actions or is deathbunnies left with another one?
