I was seeing her "I just want to be normal and have friends" aspect of her personality as winning here.
Freeing Jaffur is her highest priority. She's willing to put off making friends in order to free him.

And I don't think Kakara would see the oppertunity.
She would, and has. We the players have thought it up and it's got enough votes that Kakara has thought about it. The only question is whether she goes through with it or if she chooses not to.

Yeah no, apart from it being completely out of character for us, it lacks narrative reasoning, if I was reading a book and this was the way the sealing plot was solved, well I'd think it was a pretty bad book.

I would actually like to talk to Celeran but I think this is not the time to talk to Dandeer about the sealing. I mean, not only would she feel like everyone is against her and thus defensive but, in her place, I would be extremely pissed off if right after being excomunicated someone explained me why what I did that lead to that was pointless and that they knew about it and waited until after I suffered the consecuences before telling me. Plus, she still thinks we are a child and while we did protect her she is not really in the right state of mind to feel gratitude over all that despair. Furthermore, she expected us to help her explain during the council. I think she would feel everyone is against her right now and that to go preaching to her why the sealing was bad and she should undo the last thing she has left would go over badly.

It would probably be better to wait for the reputation we earned her to consolidate so that she doesn't sees us as much of a kid and for it to be confirmed that we are a seer and that we spend some time with Jaron to show we have his best interests in mind. Furthermore, her being distressed increases the chances of her doing something drastic.

I mean, I get why people want to take advantage of her emotionally vulnerable now and it might have a better chance of success tan usual but it also has a lot of potential to backfire and while Poptart confirmed we have a chance now, it was in the context of it being mechanically impossible before while it is theoretically possible now. Which doesn't necessarily mean we have a good chence to do it. Granted, it doesn't mean that we will have a better chance later but we have one now because we have been slowly building our reputation and shown ourselves as reasonable so it is more likely that she will listen to us the more respected we are.

Also, she left the hall hours ago. We would probably be IT to her house to talk to her.

I hardly think it's in character for a nine year old, no matter how smart or determined, to be enough of an awful person to take advantage over someone's life collapsing for their own goals.
Awful!? She's "taking advantage" of a horrible, disgusting individual for the goal of freeing an innocent child from his inescapable prison. And it's more like "Now that she sees the consequences of her actions she's more likely to listen to reason" than taking advantage of her.

Dude I hate her too, I hate her more than most I'd reckon. That doesn't mean we should stoop to her level, as for her learning her lesson. It's been a few hours at most, and it's not like she hasn't been getting this kind of treatment from saiyan society at large anyway, she'll need time to learn fucking anything. Anyway knowing her she's not likely to listen to reason, she's likely to go crazy and try to hide Jaron in the human world, and exile herself from saiyan society completely.
Because she's insane.

Don't think trying to convince Dandeer to unseal Jaffur right now is a good idea. Kakara absolutely hates Dandeer, and I don't think she could hide that for long enough to convince Dandeer to do anything, and if we let it slip we want to unseal Jaffur she might remove our access to Jarron.

On an unrelated note..

The next post will conclude the mini-event. Enjoy, everybody!

..Wait, this was a "mini-event"? We've spent over half the thread on this, and there's as many updates about the council as there's updates about the whole situation with Jaffur's training and sealing, damnit! Heck, there's more updates about the council than there was about year 1.

Now I'm wondering how how big/long an actual/normal event would be.

I'm being facetious.

Go ahead. We won't judge. *readies rotten tomatoes*
Nah, moment's passed.

Looking definitive, but I'll keep it open a little while longer.

[X] Go see Fennella before you go.

There's a couple of reasons for this, of course.

First, Kakara desperately wants friends. She needs them, and this is a Saiyan!Friend!

Secondly, this has been a long day. Kakara has met a monster (I'm setting aside any and all debate - he's a monster to us because all we know of him is Talt). We have dealt with high-level politics, foiled an attempted usurption, and seen thousands bow at our feet. Including the monster, since he wasn't listed as someone who stayed standing. Holy crap, Patriarch Vegeta bowed to us! Anyway, it's been a long day and we aren't ready to talk to THAT WOMAN. Yes, it might be the best time. That said, it doesn't HAVE to happen now, and we'll do better later, when our head is clearer and we have had time to think things through.

Thirdly, Saiyan!Friend wanted a spar.

Fourth, I'm not really comfortable with moving things along politically or plot-wise until we can talk to Dad. We passed Judgement today, sorta, which is supposed to be his job. We have set some events in motion and we have a duty to talk to him soon about that.

Fifth, if we don't talk to her immediately, we may have a chance to talk to Jii-chan first. I mean, we can't just refuse to act unless we get literal divine blessing on it, but if we do find him, it would be helpful.

So let's go talk to our friend, maybe schedule a spar (or maybe even spar), and get a few hours sleep.

Then we can go drop an info-nuke fun fact - 'a revelation of important information' is one definition of the word 'apocalypse'....just Saiyan on her Sorcerous little head.

[jk] Go to Dandeer
-[jk] Bring Fennella
--[jk] Tell Dandeer that if she doesn't fix the mess and save both her sons, we'll crush Fennella's skull.

This will make things better and not worse, and will get us the approval of Old McMurder!

There, Dandeer voters, now you have something to do better than.

What? The villain is in the middle of suffering their just deserts, and can be offered a chance at redemption by recognizing and undoing the harm they caused. You make it sound as if helping a beaten woman with severe PTSD salvage her social existence by rescuing a trapped child is a selfish goal.

She has just had her entire world rocked in most dramatic fashion. If she is ever going to be open to considering that she might have made a mistake instead of indulging resentment and spite by doubling down, it is going to be right now.
