Satan Style: This style, originally developed by Mr. Satan, doesn't deviate that strongly from basic martial arts like karate and kung fu, save that it emphasises quick adaptation to tricks an opponent might pull and that it uses psychology, both offensively and defensively. It was modernised and adapted for high-intensity combat completely accidentally by a young Pan who wanted to make her grandfather happy by winning a fight using only his techniques, to demonstrable success on both fronts. Involved techniques: Leadership, Deceit, Dynamite Kick, Dynamic Mess Em Up Punch, Miracle Knee!, Rolling Hercule Punch, Champion Style!?, The Saviour Has Come, Hand-to-Hand [Duelling]. Penalised techniques: Hand-to-Hand [Team Fighting], Ki Manipulation (all save involved techniques), Ki Control (save when using Miracle Knee!), Flight (save when using Miracle Knee!), self-awareness.
Go to sleep. My particular work has me up at odd hours, so I have a skewed definition of "tomorrow." Update will be incoming within the next four hours.
[X] Don't accept or refuse his apology.
-[X] Help him to his feet.
-[X] Explain why.
--[X] He says he will accept punishment for reaching above his station but there is something else he must answer for first; taking advantage of the distress of his fellow saiyans in his search for power. Since he is willing to offer his life in penance, you will take it: he shall dedicate it to help others whenever he can until he makes amends for what he did. Then, on the day you become Lady, he will come to you and you shall pass judgement.
Order In the Hall
You stare down at Celeran for a moment, torn on what you should do. It's a hard question. You're not sure what you should or even can do here.
...but then, perhaps that's an answer all on its own.
You reach down, your hand crossing into his vision. He looks up at you.
You shake your hand at him, and he takes it, allowing you to pull him up and to his feet. He looks at you, somewhat confused.
"...no," you say, shaking your head. "I'm not going to hurt you."
He nods, still hesitant.
"I'm not going to forgive you, either!" you say, raising a finger.
He blinks. "I- I'm sorry, Lady Scion. I don't understand."
"I'm going to need to get my Dad to not name you a traitor when he finds out what you tried to do," you say, giving him an annoyed look. "He wouldn't even be wrong, because that's what you were trying to do. But he would kill you. And I don't want that. But you do have to pay for it."
"I will accept my punishment freely-"
"Stop talking and listen!"
He blinks, bowing his head.
"You talk too much," you say. "You need to listen to someone else talk sometimes." You take a deep breath. "That's part of the problem, though. Isn't it?" You straighten. "You offered me your life. Fine. I'll take it. But not like you were thinking. Because even though you did something against my family, you did something against them, first." You point out at the silent crowd. "You used them. You knew they were scared, and you used them. So you have to make it up to them first. I'm going to have to spend the next several years telling my Dad why he shouldn't kill you. So if you want to give me your life, fine. But you won't give it to me. You give it to them."
Again you point at the crowd. "You help them, for as long as my Dad is Lord. You do your job -- your real job. But you give them your life while you're at it. You do everything you can to help them until you're ready to tell them that you're sorry like you told me. And when I become Lady, you come to me. And when I actually am Lady and I can judge you, I will. After you spend those years helping them and making up for what you did, and I've spent them keeping my Dad from killing you...them I'll give you judgment. Understand?" [Perilously High Diplomacy Check: Smashing Success]
He nods, slowly. "I...as you command, Lady Scion. I understand." He then smiles, excitement growing in his tone. "Yes. Yes. That's perfect! That's..." He laughs. It almost sounds like crying. He goes to his knees again. "Lady Scion, that's exactly what I wanted in the first place. To help. Thank you."
You fold your arms. "Don't say thank you yet. I told you I won't forgive you yet. You have to make it up to them first."
He nods. "Right. Yes! Of course." He stand, scrubbing at his face. "I won't disappoint you. I swear I won't."
You step forward and jab a finger into his chest. "Don't disappoint them," you say, feeling irritated that he isn't getting this.
He opens his mouth -- maybe to say something that will annoy you by missing the point again -- but then shuts it, a sudden and thoughtful look on his face. He opens his mouth again...and closes it again, settling for a sharp nod.
You nod back. "Now, um...I'm not in charge here. So...this is the Council." You look out at the crowd. "I'm sorry, but we can't talk about the way the Sealing is being handled here. This is for your Faith. It's my family's job to handle the other stuff. Please, trust me. Let's talk about what you came here to talk about. And...I'll help to make sure we don't fly apart."
You look around, and drop out of Super Saiyan.
In a slowly-mounting roar, the crowd begins to cheer.
You look around in shock as people rise to their feet, screaming in acclamation. You gape in honest surprise for a moment before mastering yourself.
It doesn't matter. From the cheering, they love you all the more for it.
You give them all a simple nod, unsure of how to handle this, and then return to your seat. As you do, Grandma wraps an arm around you.
There are many things I could say right now, and there are many things I could be. But I am, and shall settle for saying that I am so very proud of you, Kakara.
You duck your head, flushing.
The cheers slowly abate under fatigue and Celeran's efforts, and at long last the Hall is quiet. "The Lady Scion speaks true when she clarifies what we can address of the Sealing," says Celeran. "It is not our place to criticize its handling. That said, it does present a theological concern for us. And that perspective we are in urgent need of addressing. Good people of the Faith, I have in part called you here today to determine what we should decide about the Sealing. More to the point, I have come to demand the explanation of Dandeer, the Lady Vegeta, for her actions. I open the floor to discussion of the ramifications of the Sealing, and what it means for our Faith. To begin with, I call upon Lady Dandeer. Come to the stage, Lady Vegeta, and explain yourself!"
The Hall erupts once again.

Reputation Lost: "Mysterious."
Reputation Gained: "The Just." At a very young age, you stepped forward and took control of a near-to-rampaging crowd. With a few words and your conviction, you talked them down and restored order, and afterwards, gave a merciful-yet-stern judgment to the one responsible. All present agree that you handled yourself well, and in general people expect you to only act further in accordance with this in the future.
Skill Improved: Diplomacy [Competent-->Talented].
Sub-Trait Gained: Open-Armed. [Sub-Trait of "Pacifist"] You know that there are more questions to answer about your beliefs, but you've answered at least one. Those who oppose you don't have to be hurt in order to stop. You can offer them the chance to turn back. Gain a minor bonus to all attempts to "redeem" your opponents from their courses of action.
Somebody bug me in eight hours about it and I'll put up the details for all of this then and update the character sheet. I'm too tired to go into it now beyond what the wording implies.
To save time: Celeran is being genuine by bringing this up. It is a legitimate and serious theological concern, and Dandeer was always going to have to explain herself. He's not undermining your ruling. It's just that it's a tough conversation that needs to happen, and timing is unfortunate.
I know it's certainly not the peak of the last update, not helped by the delay I'll bet, but I hope you've enjoyed this one. I did. Have fun! And goodnight. Ask questions if you like, but I'm going to sleep immediately. I'll answer later.
Is it too late to just start kicking Celeran until out little super saiyan legs get tired? I know that he's trying to help with this, and he's technically not undermining us since he's not technically talking about how the sealing is being handled, but this reminds me of an idiot holding a finger half an inch from your face and saying "I'm not touching you". Sure, he may not be wrong, but if he doesn't stop that crap he deserves to get hit.

Woah boy. Cookies might be called for here. It goes against one of Kakara's defining traits, and pushes her buttons something fierce to let the Lady talk about the Sealing as if it were right or justifiable. Mediating the discussion fairly is gonna require some rolls, and if we fail them...well bad things are going to happen. If after what we just did, Kakara breaks down in tears thinking about it, or doesn't project neutrality, the crowd will tear her apart. Regardless of how good of an explanation she has. Which would hurt as we would then be forced to stop them, making her social isolation even worse after the fact.

What makes you think this? The Sealing and its theological implications are pretty much the entire reason this gathering was called. Well, the official reason anyways. They've moved away from judging it morally or legally, so I don't really see a problem here. Our job is to mediate, as Kakara explained. Whether the Lady Vegeta succeeds or fails in convincing the crowd that this wasn't absolute heresy is up to her.

Yes, but that doesn't change any of what I just said. It goes against A Cause, it triggers Hot Blooded and chaffs against her hatred of Lady Vegeta. At the very least there will be a roll. One that won't benefit from the willpower boost from A Cause, even if it is effected by Level-Headed, Mature, and Pacifist.

I think we're too invested to actually DO fair. Just make sure they talk it out properly. We just said, this is not our place. Let them talk. We just keep things from coming to blows and let the voices be heard.
A good leader needs to know when to take her hands off the wheel too.

Clearly we should communicate to the ancestor cult Son Gohan's thoughts regarding the Sealing. It is pretty nuanced, being pro-sealing regarding Lord Vegeta but changing his mind on the necessity of doing it with Jaffur after the event itself.

Heh. On the one hand, we're taking advantage of our connection to him to silence opposing opinions forcibly, which is incredibly rude for something that was personal, and there's the issue of proof, and if we do somehow prove it, we'd be bugged constantly.
On the other hand, if we can prove it, the Faith would likely declare us a prophet, unite to our cause, and it'd likely have an impact on non-members of the Faith as well. Combine it with the knowledge that Jaffur is conscious and trapped, it might be enough to convince Berra and Dandeer to fix the situation.

Probably not a good idea to do it in public. Get Dandeer, Grandma and the Pope-guy in private and discuss it with them?
Basically go, "I may have something to say in this matter" etc, and convince all three of them to come over to our side? Granny might listen, Pope-guy's mostly in our corner, and Dandeer, well I think it'll be harder to convince Kakara to talk to her compared to convincing Dandeer.
Thoughts?
EDIT: Maybe use our Two-form to manage the crowd while doing this.
