Would they? If that was all their mage-forces did and we took care of disabling the other troops?Pretty sure the Namekians would run out of magic before even a Saiyan could starve.

starvation would take too long. With not-arcosians we could try to have them suffocate, depending on the size they wouldn't have enough air for more than..i don't, a few hours? It would probably depend on the species.Do Freeza's people require food? If so... would it be possible to keep them within katchin until they starve?
I thought of this already, but we should probably make it an ASK vote.with arcosians... maybe we could have creation mages create poisons/narcotics. we drop them inside as a multiform/shade,or have the mages create it directly inside it if they can.
Not with this system. You'd need to actualize the concept of "growth" or "regrowth" or "transformation", instead of "restoration". The right type of magic could almost certainly turn a Senzu bean into an instant ossification poison, but it wouldn't be the sort that emulates Senzu beans in the first place....just thought about it, but could healing magic be used creatively to create tumors/cancer?
Hmm. I think we'd need to scry the leader's mind for that to work.Or maybe we could try and use unlocking magic to "unlock" the good inside their heart?
Well now I'm really curious. Incidentally, are you interested in seeing my notional application for DBDFP?Functionally, yes. The exact mechanics are a bit different, and honestly so spoilery that I won't go into them, but for purposes of this quest that's what it functionally results in.
your what nowIncidentally, are you interested in seeing my notional application for DBDFP?

Why don't y'all take this over to a PM or the RP thread?
Potentially, but it's Terminus Quest's turn first anyway.
I find it questionable, at best, that the Namekian healers will be willing to use their magic to intentionally give people cancer. That's like asking the average doctor to start slicing throats with their scalpels.starvation would take too long. Again, why are people voting for Shielding right now? It won't keep us concealed, it probably won't keep Garenhuld concealed - I just don't get it. Do the other options just look that bad?
Can you guys maybe tone down the condescension directed at votes you disagree with, as if your opinion is the one objective truth and all other votes/options are stupid traps the rest of us are gullible idiots for daring to vote for? They want instant gratification, even when it's useless right now. The best option is mind restructure because it does all that passively but takes time. I bet by the time she needs shielding the same time could have been used to get it passively.

With regeneration-based magic powers, that'd be a pretty obvious outgrowth, I'll grant, but this magic system doesn't work through mechanisms like that. If a healing mage heals somebody, they're not using magic to stimulate the body's natural healing process -- a means which can be abused to force the creation of malignant tumors -- they're pushing conceptual healing at people. This is because the metaphysics line up right for it -- healing is a coherent metaphysical concept in this setting, and it does not include the creation of tumors....just thought about it, but could healing magic be used creatively to create tumors/cancer?
Good sir, I know how fun it can feel to trash opinions you disagree with - but you may have lost our side this vote. I implore you to restrain yourself in future. They want instant gratification, even when it's useless right now. The best option is mind restructure because it does all that passively but takes time. Apologies for my colleague's behaviour. I don't actually know why you're voting the way you are - my current best guess is a combination of "Kakara might have to deal with mindreading sooner rather than later" and "Kakara might somehow be too occupied to spend enough actions training Shielding in the next couple months, despite the year being so heavily focused on training".Can you guys maybe tone down the condescension directed at votes you disagree with, as if your opinion is the one objective truth and all other votes/options are stupid traps the rest of us are gullible idiots for daring to vote for?
Because it's the only one that seems to get us a wish from the fragment, since magic and force would probably hurt the fragment or possibly even kill it. Giving Bassoon the reins might or might not give us the wish, but it'd certainly be my second choice - he might discover why it exists in the first place. On another note, is there a specific reason why everyone's voting to wish to destroy the trap? I don't think I've seen much discussion about it.

You want to know the really obnoxious part? I might well agree with you, but I know just enough RP spoilers to find that unintuitive. But the quest has also made itself hard to engage with without RP spoilers - apparently, we won't ever get to learn what Cynthia's real deal is in character, because she's a PC from the RP!EDIT: This whole scenario has seemed off from the start. Why does Bassoon have a trap in his head? The only scenario that I've come up with that makes sense is if someone is using the FutureSight to scry us, and they put that trap in Bassoon's mind specifically for us.
/tinfoil hat
Also, the Porunga inside the trap just seems to be a fragment, without even enough energy to grant a single wish.
You get one more of these. Plenty of players follow both RP and Quest quite tolerably; plenty follow only the quest. I only get complaints from you.You want to know the really obnoxious part? Sorry. Would spoilering that have worked? It seemed like something where a spoiler tag called "RP Spoilers" would have given away just as much, and I didn't want to leave him hanging. You get one more of these. You get one more, and then it's a problem that it keeps coming up despite very strict and clear spoiler policies, and repeated and explicit warnings.
Spoilering the entire comment would have helped, but at this point I am tired of seeing the complaints.Sorry. Would spoilering that have worked? It seemed like something where a spoiler tag called "RP Spoilers" would have given away just as much, and I didn't want to leave him hanging.
Calling it instant gratification is technically accurate, but misleading. I appreciate restructuring, but we have no idea how long it would take to learn or how long it would take to switch up.They want instant gratification, even when it's useless right now. The best option is mind restructure because it does all that passively but takes time. I bet by the time she needs shielding the same time could have been used to get it passively.
There's no indication that there's a tradeoff being made here? I would not expect us to be "slowing down" in other areas. It's not an intelligently-designed system weighing pros and cons, after all.For that matter, we don't know how long the other two will take. We may not have time for them after restructuring. Especially considering restructuring makes Kakara niche. We would speed up some stuff but slow down others.
