I want to think a bit more about the others before voting. I'm tempted by [ ][MIND] Restructuring , but an immediate shield would be usefull against Dandeer, or any possible mind reader in the Arcosian's army.

How strong would a full power ssj3 be has yet to be revealed, right? ( Not that I expect it to ever matter, the form is pretty much untrainable without some clever/magical workaround, but I'm kinda curious and I've not looked at the rp recently)

I have not revealed this, and it will never appear within the context of the RP. However, Trunks right now in the RP is the closest thing to a Full-Power Super Saiyan 3 that could exist - if you could somehow break the barrier he's hit, the result would be so different from SSJ3 to be considered it's own Super Saiyan form entirely.

Better to figure out a workaround (e.g. that handy-dandy memory-alteration magic) now than have to scramble for it mid-battle.

I feel a person should always have dominion over their own mind, so Bassoon should take care of this. We, ourself, and mages, can jump in if he gets into trouble, but Bassoon should take the lead on this.

Okay, why are people voting for Shielding right now? From what we've seen Bassoon's shields will be fine for our scouting missions, whereas Restructuring would help us with the 11 months worth of training we have left, and Speed would be a general-purpose buff. We should absolutely pick Shielding up at some point, and quite possibly before we leave Bassoon, but we have probably 11 more months to do that, and even being cynical, I expect at least 3.

Would centuries of training be enough, or is he just not up to using Time Chambers for that long?

Actually it kinda does make sense. The Oozaru transformation occurs because when a Saiyan is exposed to a sufficient amount of Blutz Waves, it triggers special glands in a Saiyan's tail to release special hormones that induce the transformation. From this we know that the tail is a part of the Saiyan endocrine system, and since Goku is on record as saying that "I always feels stronger when I have my tail" during one of the tournaments, it's logical to assume that said glands also help regulate a saiyan's biochemistry even without moonlight(particularly as there's not such thing as a gland that only does one thing under specific circumstances and nothing else). Not an essential part of a Saiyan's endocrine system since a Saiyan can loose their tail with no loss of what we would consider quality of life, but still an important part whose loss can be most felt when a Saiyan put's their body under extremely high stress.

Because it seems like it will be the fastest one to train, we know for sure it will be useful in the future, mind reading and control is a weakness that has been bothering/scaring us since the prologue of the quest but we always put aside for other things, because as shown that time we used the sight to check safe planets there are other psychics out there that could use their powers to learn we are within Bassoon's head if we don't improve shielding and because we don't know yet who or where the sorcerer who put a trap within Bassoon's mind is, but they have shown they can use their magic to affect people's minds.

Something I just noticed? We're a projection of spirit, hiding out in Bassoon's mind. Shielding ourselves against intrusion will not keep us concealed, although it might keep people from being able to read us if they've already found us. I'm willing to roll the dice on what we already know being enough for that, at least for the next few months.

We also know it's made of psychic energy. If that can be made by sorcerors, an accidental weaving (which Jaffur has proven can be done) seems much more likely than anything else.

random idea i got.

I remember from the rp (not really a spoiler, or at least not an important one. I think it might have been mentioned in this thread as well) that the ssj2 power boost is explicitely referred to as not multiplying the ssj ki pool, but substituing it in its entirety.

the logical follow up to me, as I'm already pushing to(in the future, after perfect multiform) try to access oozaru and base ki pool at the same time, would be to somehow try to transform into ssj while already being ssj2, or in other words try to access ssj ki pool while ALSO accessing the ssj2 one.

Of course this is something to consider only after we've already unlocked ssj2, possibly requiring mastery of that form, but i don't see why it couldn't be possible.

so we might possibly get access to as many as four different wells of power: base, oozaru, ssj, ssj2 (i think there's a decent chance of us unlocking it during the coming conflict if we just get the right epiphany, if not before then in training), on top of which we can add (in the most optimistical scenario i can imagine) perfect multiform, jaffur's trick (ki refinement), spirit saiyan (if we have the needed support for it. the energy we can gather without willing givers would probably be at most a few hundred millions, basically not worth it), and maybe tabe's trick (though that would probably only last for a single shot, and barely at that). I'm nearly certain trying to combine ssj3 with any of the other ssj forms would be nearly impossible, or end up tiring the user in seconds at most, but it might be possible to combine it with both base and oozaru.)


maaaaaaybe gilded super saiyan could be compatible with it, but i doubt it. Firstly it would mean trying to contain ssj and ssj2 aura at the same time, which would at the very least require ssj2 mastery. Secondly i have no idea how it would interact with the Oozaru ki pool (and what i hope would be ssj4). It's possible that some level of ki containment is already present in ssj4 (or however we'll end up calling it) anyway, if i remember right it seems to usually not have the omnipresent ssj aura as often as the other forms.

I find it somewhat amusing that, even combining nearly all the different ki pools and tricks i mentioned above (base, oozaru, ssj, ssj2, gilded, ki refinement, even perfect multiform..), even the most optimistic result would likely STILL be weaker than a ssj3 who reached his caps 🤣

(except maybe in the case of the one combining all these tricks actually having unlocked ssj3, taking advantage of the massively raised base form cap)

ssj3 with base and lower forms to cap= 90 billions (30 base +60 from ssj3 form, a X4 of the ssj2 boost of 15 billions, itself a X2 boost of a 7.5 ssj max boost.

everything combined for someone without ssj3= 7.5 (base)+ 7.5 (ssj) +15 (ssj2) +15 (oozaru)= 45 billions, to which we could possibly add ki refinement (i think it's a +10% at our current level of skill?), gilded (if possible, though it might not be worth it) and the perfect multiform)

everything except ssj3 combined, but for someone who HAS unlocked ssj3 and trained his base cap and oozaru cap to the new maximum: 30+60+7.5+15=112.5 billions, without including gilded, ki refinements or anything else. The massive effort i expect it would be required to keep all these different power sources working at the same time might actually make it not worth it. ssj3 would be a bit weaker, but also a lot more simple.
