As for Kaio-ken, it's pretty much a double kill/suicide technique when used in SSJ, so I don't think it's going to be that useful.
It can be used with SS-Blue, and may be used with golden great ape since that's more resilient.

Plus, it synergises really well with multiform. Multiform only divides ki. Kaioken multiplies everything about the user.

So even basic mastery of both techniques would give us two Kakaras with max pl but with enhanced strength, speed, senses and reaction time but with potentially more.

I doubt we'll have 20 clones, so combining the fact that we have two bodies with separate powers to use for multiform, we'd very likely get an entire team of Kakaras.

1. Since you liked my post, I'mma ask you another question in the same vein: has a 15mil Krillin Style Master ever managed to defeat a Super Saiyan? Perhaps a loyalist master taking out a Super Saiyan Rebel?

2. I have an omake written up and ready to go, but I want to wait until you've posted the update. Should I wait until it's done or just post the omake now?

Update will be up soon (within twelve hours at the latest), so go ahead and wait on that.

As for 1...no. So much no. The power disparity closes in on a ten times difference. That's unrecoverable. However, groups of Krillin users, working in concert, have delayed rebels for long enough for the FPSSJ Lords/Scions/Ex-Lords (need a formal designation for that) to arrive and smash the rebel.

You know, I can't help but wonder what the human governments think about the Saiyan 'Shadow Society'.

Hmm. Solar Flare + Kienzan never managed to get an SSJ rebel?

How many Krillin Stylists would you say are needed to delay an SSJ rebel indefinitely? Vs how many of a different style?

Maybe ask those questions after the next update, just so it doesn't delayed?

Nah. That's why using Solar Flare on your Dad required a Deceit check -- there aren't too many more reasons why you'd raise your hands to your forehead, but somebody who knows it can just turn their head.

Er...indefinitely is a strong word. At a guess, five to make the delay at all substantial. For other styles...seven, maybe?

I stand with Aranfan.

Oh, sure, for now it's "just this one exception, this one lady". We don't need to seek to understand, to empathize, to move beyond base desire for violence. She deserves it, right? And we're morally better, right? That means it's okay to kill her, right?

No. I reject these ideas. I choose the better path.

She was quite clearly panicking. First her husband almost kills her son, and then (at least in her mind) her son almost kills her for saving him. Thanks to the rationalization she made up for why Vegeta was abusive (his "tainted heritage"), she then concluded that the only way to have Jaffur live a happy life was to seal him (and, well, Jaron seems much happier and mentally better off than Jaffur, so if it wasn't for the fact they're not the same person and Jaffur ended up trapped in his own, I could actually see her point). None of that gives her any right to seal Jaffur, mind you, but she didn't have any bad intentions (again, this is assuming Jaffur being trapped in his own mind was an accident. If it wasn't, fuck Dandeer).

And again, the only one with the right (both morally and legally) to decide what happens to her is Jaffur, not Kakara or

I know I'm late, but I've just been reading through the pages.

I was going to write up a big thing for this, but I feel like that would waste time, so I'll just say thank you for arguing for Dandeer. I really did have to leave this quest for a while because I was really starti- no I hated Kakara because of her conversation with Dandeer. So again, thank you both.

Welcome back!

So I just finished the Saiyan Saga. And holy shit that was an amazing sequence of fights. I think the Vegeta fight actually managed to top the Tenshinhan vs Jackie Chun fight in excellence. Saibaimen and Nappa fight was also great, if not as good, and I think I'd rate it lower than the best fight in the 22nd Budokai, but better than the rest of the fights.

Wow man, just ignore me, I guess, that's alright. *Sniff*.
I should point out, though, that Kakara hasn't changed yet, that's just us arguing for the case that she shouldn't be so dangerously violent, she's still entirely ready to coat the town red in Dandeer's blood if it were not for the fact that Jaffur has first dibs.

As yet.

Hopefully the next update will have a vote where we can advocate for mercy and peace, and have "Pacifist" win out against "A Cause".

@PoptartProdigy

Mimicry has always been a part of Dragon Ball. Goku learned the Kamehameha after just seeing it once, Vegeta and (possibly) Frieza copied the Destructo Disc, etc. That hasn't really been part of this game, though. My suggestion is to allow for basic techniques to be learned at a competent level by players writing omakes where we get them. This excludes the possibility of a cookie, of course.

Have you thought about the thing I suggested where we separate the good and evil within ourselves (but not ejecting them, so there's no change to our personality or anything), letting them crash back together, and using it to boost ourselves like the Kaioken except with a high Ki Control/Sense requirement and that uses Willpower instead of taxing the body?

Check out this picture. Only pure-blooded Saiyans have weird growth. Human-Saiyan hybrids have the same body growth pattern as humans, just as they have the same kind of hair growth. I'm mentioning this because at one point in the Quest it said that Kakara wouldn't really grow until she was 14.

If we got Kamehameha to Legendary and then used cookies to increase the skill level further, would it tip over and fire a Super Kamehameha instead?

Can we ask Berra to tell us all the techniques he knows? We're Inquisitive, he's our father, and we're 9, so curiously asking about it is both IC and not suspicious.

How does one become the Queen of Garenhuld? Is it an elective position like on Earth?

The ki produced when using Jaffur Style is described as an "almost liquid haze". If we got our Ki Control up to Elite, would we be able to make our ki actually liquid? I'm thinking we can break it out in a fight for a quick recharge, similar to the capsules in Xenoverse.

Okay, I can answer this last one, but then I really need to focus on finishing the update.

Omakes would be too easy, but I'll allow options for copying techniques during play. If you do it successfully enough times, you'll even get that Copycat trait that was talked about during the Sealing, to specialize in it.

I have. Nathaniel and I are doing world-building for our two threads in a discussion elsewhere, and that gave us some interesting thoughts for all that. Among other things, I can confirm that the Karmic Maelstrom technique is a thing, but one specifically for Sorcery. Magic in general has been kind of lacking an end-game blast, and the kind of literalization involved for this kind of stuff is, in this universe, more magic's thing than ki's.

Huh. So it is. I'll say that you will grow before then, but hit a really big growth spurt around 14. You can be an early bloomer before then, or a late bloomer until, but the two years after your fourteenth birthday will hit you like a truck hits a squishy human.

It would certainly start hitting like one.

Sure thing. In fact, it's fairly trivial in terms of time investment, so I'll throw it in the next time you get a scene with him. NOTE: You might also (correctly) guess that giving it away so easily means you won't get anything out of it other than information.

There is no Queen of Garenhuld; the planet is still divided among nation-states. The Queen I was saying you all can become was the Queen of All Saiyans, which would require stating and pressing your claim as Princess, and then by some means getting the vast majority of your race to recognize you as sovereign.

That would require SCIENCE- *ahem* S'cuse me. That's something that can happen, but you or somebody else will need to essentially start the Saiyan Renaissance first.

I knew what you were talking about. My question was about the (now known to be non-existent) human position from the start. Would've been a hilarious "lizardmen in the White House" situation if the Masquerade ever broke. :p

@Andres110

If I put Tenshinhan style training in my next turn plan, and it wins, would you be willing to contribute some of your cookies to the check?
Nope, definitely not. I think we should do Demon Style instead since it gives small bonuses across the board while the Tien Style does not, even if it does provide life force attacks. The only reason I wanted to do Tien Style was the idea that it'll give us effectively better Multiform for more actions, but the GM debunked that idea.

Honestly though, that's not the reason I'm withholding my cookies. I plan to use them once we get to either Exceptional Ki Projection or Exceptional Ki Talents. I'll use the cookies to boost whichever one to Legendary for the turn, at which point we put as many actions as we can on either Train Specific Skill or Ki/New Tricks for maximum efficiency. It's the only reliable way for us to get Elite Multiform/Ki Sense/Ki Control ANYTHING.

Alternatively, I could use them once we get Exceptional Multiform to bump us up to Legendary Multiform for one turn and get us two more actions, but I'll only do this if we really need those extra actions that turn.

EDIT: Isn't part of the plan to see how long it takes to learn a style? Throwing cookies into the mix will tamper with the results.

...I already said that that wouldn't work. Unless I'm misremembering, which is perfectly possible, I said it to you. You can't use a cookie to boost a skill for an entire year. You can boost it, at most, for the length of an action -- specifically an event-chain action. This would be something like sneaking to eavesdrop on Dad and Lady Vegeta, which at the time was the beneficiary of two cookies. A single combat, at its best.

Update nearly finished. Incoming.
