You want to ally with Shego, so we can pool resources and know-how against Toffee. Logically, the earlier we cooperate the earlier we start reaping the benefits. I agree with this, believe it or not.
However, it is also true that our Occult actions are in quite a sorry state, a terrible place to be since it's the main weapon of our newest enemy. Just like cooperating with Shego, the earlier we get our Occult actions in a good state the earlier we will benefit; and these benefits are very relevant when it comes to combating Toffee.
Since our Occult actions are in a far more precarious state than our relationship with Shego, I want to prioritize fixing it first. Our relationship with Shego already is quite good and we have already cooperated on Quests before; this opening of contacts is in many ways a formality. The same cannot be said of our Occult actions, which right now currently consist of throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks. It's something that has far bigger urgency in my mind, and therefore needs priority.
Then let me ask you something. If you truly believed that reaching out to Shego was not as important as building up our Occult actions, why did your original plan (
Plan I don't have a snappy title) have
Reach Out to Shego, not
Recruit Kitsune? You didn't even choose
Look for Magical Individuals, though with your point of shoring up the precarious state of our Occult section, I'll credit you with at choosing
Magical Defenses.
And with regards to the rest of what you said, if you don't think someone who has made it clear that business is business might accept a decent deal from Toffee, representing Seth Industries, well, that's your assumption to make, I suppose. It's something that goes against how she's been portrayed, especially if we're not bothering to reach out and make formal contact between DEI and Drakktech.
Also, let's be clear. Dismissing the threat of a possible Toffee-Shego deal,
given that she is on our border seems...unwise. Trying to gloss over the importance of inter-company relations -
when formal relationships are what allow us to collaborate, and we worry about PR threats - and brushing off the possible consequences of breaking such a deal as "Shego's problem" is also
unwise. If you expect someone to just roll over and turn on a business partner because a business/political rival who hadn't bothered to make formal contact presents "evidence" of the deal/their business partner being bad without at the very least, taking time to look into it and verify whether the evidence is legit, well, good luck.
But, while we will have the info... why would we instantly start attacking Toffee? Unless we have a ridiculous amount of info that Toffee is killing U.S. civilians then the US will want to keep Toffee where he is until they can topple him themselves. Two "Kings" attacking him? That would break the Masquerade quite heavily. And, as Shego doesn't want to look like a villain/murderer, she'll undoubtedly want to try and keep an Intruge heavy focus if she does any anti-Toffee actions... in which case, reaching out to her with our pro
Excuse me?
Perhaps you would care to examine your Strawman of what I would propose before you make insinuations that I would suggest starting an all out attack against him that would break the Masquerade.
Please at least give me the courtesy of assuming I am not a complete moron.
Having said info would give us a good place to start for anti-Toffee collaboration, but nowhere did I say we were going to invade Arizona with a bloody army, now did I? Because say, two CEOs allying against a third and proceeding to act against them in ways that threaten their business financially, collaborating on intrigue actions, or helping each other with PMC work is hardly "
breaking the Masquerade quite heavily."
I am sick and tired of people arguing in bad faith. Kindly desist.
