I guess Theorizing 2.0 will have to do for now. I really wish that we could fight ENCOM, but we need to deal with the Occult business more than we need to upgrade DoofOS.

I wonder what the AI subvote is going to give. It will probably be interesting, to say the least.

The other is refusing to tell us anything... until we open up a giant lootbox, oh what a painful burden to bear.
Counterpoint:
He won't care if you send him (and Janna) there, he's just not going to tell you anything about the map until you deal with Chicken Itza in some way.
He's not telling us about the map. If we send him and Janna to Xanadu he's not going to refuse to cast or withhold information that'll get his bearer killed. Pretty sure he enjoys having literally any amount of agency in the world.

And statwise, a team of Khan, Janna, and Max has:

+97 Martial in combat, +68 Martial out of combat
+33 Diplomacy
+36 Stewardship
+43 Intrigue
+30 Learning
+27 Occult
-10 to all DCs
And one effectively immortal party member.

If you want to wait until we can shake free Russ as party leader to send him in with Tooned in, yes, that would be a major step up. But in terms of heroes we can possibly shake free from our national actions without suffering as a result, it doesn't get much better than that.

Let's put off the social media thing for a turn, concentrate on using Learning to improve our own OS or develop smarter AI or whatever, and get that Chicken (Itza).
I also don't want to push off the Social Media thing, and would rather push off both Chicken Itza and Xanadu than that. It's one thing to acknowledge that going full PR damage control is a bad idea, but it's another to take literally no PR-boosting actions when we're under active PR assault. On top of the benefits of not allowing ENCOM to entrench itself further against us.

I believe the implication is that it was Wile E. muttering that.

Yeah, it may look like it at first... but the very next line, which seems to have been spoken by Stanley, is replying to said muttering. So unless he's replying to Wile, it doesn't really make sense.

Lizzy shuddered in horror as the gangly toon exited the room muttering to himself. "This is not where I saw myself ten years down the line."

"I will admit this rivalry has been a… distraction from my more impressive creations."

General heads up, but in comics WITCH (which I know better than the animated series) the Heart of Kandrakar has ancient chinese origins, which could very well tie into the Xanadu mythos.

If the connection is there, that probably puts us in the radar for Phobos and potentially raises our profile in the eyes of Toffee, who is currently engaged in extra-dimensional warfare with Phobos.
The ancient Chinese origin also comes up in the show, but it was left up to intepretation as to whether the story with the elemental dragons and the princess was really where they came from.

I don't remember how we got Genghis Khan but could we do the same with Glory Days supers like could we resurrect The Incredibles?

They are dead right? cuz that's how I assume syndrome got to his previous level of power

That has been shot down several times.

There will be no further necromancy.

Edit: Does anyone want to theorize about what the AI subvote will include? Maybe reductions to DCs? A third action with a significant malus?

Specifically, Ghengis Khan was able to be resurrected because of that old factoid about 1 in 100 people or whatever having some Khan DNA inside them. Doofensmirtz took all those little bits of Khan and glued them back together.

Put another way it's an Inator-style mad science nonsense action that managed to actually stick and not just disappear. It runs on nonsensolium and can't be replicated. I mean come on, who else has more DNA than Khan?

first part will be a personality to it Probably which will have an add on effect probably.

personaly im hoping for an upgrade that lets us do more inating each turn or can modify Inator results. It's our primary gimmick I'd like to doubledown on that.

It's a Stewardship AI, not a general AI. You and Tempest are probably right in that it will just be something to reduce DCs for types of actions.

Hey guys? Idea I had from reading the Lizzie interlude.

What if, we had the Doof do a Psychoanalysis action with Technor. I mean, Doof is still hindered by his collection of petty grudges and spite even after he's become Ruler of Two-and-a-Half States! Maybe if we have him take a (few dozen) therapy session(s), the Doof can achieve self-actualization like Wile did?

Had a funny thought

Have jumba combine kiwi fruit extinct kiwi bird and unleash a few thousand of em in New Zealand

Also don't work with toffee

Yeah so, I'm missing a ton of context, but from what I understand, you guys are reacting to Toffee and Doom. When the Doom thing is not that bad a situation, and the Toffee thing is just a simple no, and continue trying to up our Martial and general Occult. Which to my understanding Xanatos will probably be helpful with. Especially if any information gleaned from talking with Janna through the 'Chat with the Boss' action would probably be helpful in a temporary alliance with Xanatos.

Am I misunderstanding anything here?

Hmm... I mean, if you go far enough... maybe cave Doff's brother? Cave Doof himself? Though, obviously, both of those are cavemen, and wouldn't really help us much...

... though cloning/having Jumba remake the saber-toothed Platypus may be possible. I mean, we can't clone people... but we can clone dinosaurs, so we may be able to clone the saber-toother Platypus just... for reasons. Maybe to bolster OWCA?

Am I misunderstanding anything here?
It's not just a "simple no" though. Toffee said it himself, it was all about making sure you knew what all of the variables. Saying "no" just means that he'll pull on another string and bring a different variable into play. Also, the fact that he has Kalabar on his payroll is pretty bad. The guy is a warlock, and wants to subjugate humanity and allow monsters to take their place as rulers of the world.

Doof's conceits and character tics are a large part of the quest's charm though.

I wouldn't mind working on his Bowl of Mints malus or things like that, but that's different.

The Doom thing is "bad" in the sense that he's actively willing to fuck with us directly, which makes him a small-p problem that we're contemplating various ways of dealing with.

The Toffee thing is Bad, the sense that Toffee is pretty powerful and capable, and has territory next door to us, and he's giving us all kinds of alert flags indicating that he may have dangerous and far-reaching ambitions. So we're treating him as a serious threat and trying to figure out how to prepare against that threat. Frankly we're taking him more seriously than Judge Doom right now; Judge Doom is messing with us in terms of public relations, but Toffee could like summon demons on us or something.

And we're still talking about upgrading our capabilities, of course, both for these reasons and other reasons.

With that said, I agree with you that talking to Janna with "Chat with the Boss" is a good idea. Toffee's a big enough threat, if he is a threat, that we need to know at least as much about him as Janna apparently knows.

So do we have anything in our arsenal that can deal with time travel? Because if Xanatos won he might have the Phoenix gate, he probably has the Grimour and he likely has the eye of Odin.

that's a very scary amount of magical blushit sitting around in Xanatos's back pocket.

please tell me time travel is off limits.

So basically, say no, and prepare for the incoming shit storm by preferably trying to ally ourselves with Xanatos and Shego whilst trying to bolster our Martial and Occult where we can? Along with some intrigue?
