Wow, I just started reading this last night thinking I'd so some light reading before sleeping. Then it's 1AM and I'm thinking about the pros and cons of trying to get Stitch along with the escape ship.

@Made in Heaven This has been an amazing quest so far. I was chortling during the entirety of the Syndrome Heist and really wanna know what's fully up with Bob RossRuss. Still rooting for Sinatron! He can totally run as mayor!

@weredrago2 Your setting is fascinating. I'm going to have it check it out more in depth later.

[X] Shadowhope

Looks like the most comprehensive plan to me. I agree that the escape pod should be used in some way to make it look more like Jumba tried escaping to space isntead of some rando Earth Power getting their mitts onto him.

Kinda speaking of which, does Shere Khan count in that context as an Anthropic Animal or a Toon? Depending on which fits more, we can guess whether Doom or Bellwether hates him more and maybe work out a partnership with him as long as he can look past his understandable annoyance at us cornering the Greevil Energy market (honestly, him as oil tycoon getting a bit miffed at our pro-environment agenda was to be expected)

Which is why i suggested to reach to him BEFORE WE DO THE GREEVIL with advance warning he can go atleast somewhat green and withstand it better than any remaining oil competition which he can crush with the info in advance.

More like he'd try to strangle Greevil in the crib? Though I'm honestly 50/50 about whether he'd try to smother it, or take steps to offset his loss as I haven't seen the source material he's from.

What about the Ohmu, and the rapidly-encroaching fungal hellscape that are known to wipe out whatever inhabitable places they come across overnight? Nausicaa and the valley of the wind is canon.

The climate control keeps one out (provided the air filters hold up), but not both.

There are multiple kings between it and us, and we simply cant afford to focus on every problem territory. If it starts winning against them, we might want to move. Until then, I'd rather focus on building a power base and dealing with doom.

It had been implied before and expanded upon earlier, so I'll paraphrase: Agent Russ was Arathnorn's player character in my (the first) Gridlocked campaign. I stepped down as GM and now MiH runs it. Russ suited the bill for a government hero so he was slotted into DoofQuest as well.

This take on Russ is an adaption of his character rather than the full package, but he's still very good at his job.

Thank you! Just don't quote me as a creator or anything. It was very much a group project and continues to be one.

Sure sure. It goes without saying that it serves us better to build on what we have before trying to expand like that. But I was referring to the hypothetical situation where we had already built up a sizeable power base, and expanded into the wastes. At least, that's what I presume was being discussed earlier when negotiations with Drossel were brought up..

This setting, despite my confusion on what is going on, is one of the finest ones I've participated in Since Victoria Falls.

Also making another King Arthur Omake...witch will explain the inconsistencies of the first one, while explaining...other things I headcanon Xanatos to be doing.

I will make a Canon King Arthur Omake if it drives me to tears. I'm Powered BY BLIND GUARDIAN SONGS!!

Anyone Who is familiar with him can give us his character ?

Yes of course. But I am not familiar with him and from what I've been able to glean from Shere joining the Smug Club he just as likely try to screw Greevil to keep money flowing to his coffers or switch over to something else.

But seeing that in however long he's been a King (as far as I'm aware) he hasn't made any efforts to avoid putting his eggs in the oil money basket I can easily see him jumping into the role of antagonist because Greevil would take away his power/influence. I could even easily see that he hasn't put effort that could have going into Green because he's using resources to suppress Green energy.

Giving the guy a forewarning brings to mind him putting money in sabotage, assassination, counter campaigning, bribes, and bad stuff.

Because I'm pretty skeptical and pessimistic about a villain not screwing someone over.

If he can turn a profit on it that's greater than his oil shipping, then he'd want in on the ground floor. He's not above creating an artificial shortage, but for the most part he relies on monopolies and the sheer weight of his company to get things done. He's got his claws in quite a few pies, from grocery stores to gas, to shipping interests. And even if we take the oil shipping down, depending on what there is being used to power the Greevil energy he may find an equally profitable substitute and be able to get a jump on the competition to start moving that new resource.

Edit: Some further clarification

Because I'm pretty skeptical and pessimistic about a villain not screwing someone over.
Shere Khan is a villain, and he's not above using hired guns to take someone out; as was implied in the episode where he kept on being taken advantage of by Baloo after Baloo saved his life and Khan granted him a favor. But he has two adamant-clad rules. To quote the tiger himself:

"I always repay my debts, and I never go back on a deal."

Us giving him a heads up in order to prepare would in-debt him to us.

That's a big assumption.

Giving someone a heads up before slapping them and expecting them to be happy after we slapped them? When (from their perspective) we could have simply not slapped them.

The only way I see it working (or more importantly, being a good idea even if it worked, because we might later decide we do want to screw him over) is if we already met with him and had a good relationship beforehand, rather than using this warning as the only thing that introduces us.

Looked her up...yeah, since she seems to be reasonable enough, some sort of agreement could be reached. That being said, if we send one of the two as ambassador, maybe we should upgrade him with Syndromes AI chip (only after making sure that the smug asshole didn´t hide any fatal failsafes in there, of course) - just to up our chances, you know?
Yeah upgrading Norm to at least Doppelgänger AI levels is a necessity before we reach out to her in my opinion

To be fair Shere Khan was pretty reasonable in Talespin, he was definitely a bad guy but he didn't hold grudges and was more than capable of acknowledging when he'd been defeated

Hardly the context. We'd be giving him notice to allow him to retool his ships, planes and companies ahead of time, possibly hopping on a new market share before anyone else, and further allowing him to capitalize on the other kings not knowing about it.

I don't particularly care about warming up to Shere Khan. If we can get him on side, cool, but spending any extra effort to do so while we pursue greevil efforts just doesn't make sense in my opinion.

And at this point any pragmatic kings will start comparing cost of retrofitting all their infrastructure with cost of sabotaging our projects. Even if he start retrofitting, sabotaging us still gives him more time, opportunity to sell more oil and find buyers for outdated oil stations and so on. I'll say only chance it will end good for us, if he consider us super strong and in his own opinion fighting us will cost him too much.

Furthermore, the debt earned with a warning might not be as big/valuable as you think.

A debt earned with a warning might be repaid with a warning. (Of him sabotaging us)

Forget about the Greevil recycling, what about the flying car that is researched this turn with possible flubber endless energy upgrade. I'm sure that would impact the oil and shipping more than any of our recycling program cause which is still pretty much confine in our area only which I doubt he would care since it's not like we are shoving Greevil aids across the whole country including his territory, but if we somehow render both his port and soon oil obsolete? Oh boy, either he is going to buy some of our products and maybe set up some sort of air space laws to keep his place in the beating heart of the market or we would seeing some of his sky pirates soon in the future.

If you want to make an omake about King Arthur and get it canonized in the quest, throw out what you already wrote and start over.

Do something small but unique, like Arthur combatting a bridge troll while getting his bearings in London. He may not have met Griff or started battle against the Illuminati in this timeline but he would be searching for Excalibur and his old friend Merlin.

Already have a solution to fixing that mess (Useing the Old Magical Dream from another Timeline trick).

For a later update...but for now I'm just struggling how he gets used to whatever time period London is going through.

Also Its pretty unique of an idea. Let me keep it.

"Hey Mr. Serious Business Man it's the resident Kook! I'm going to do something that'll completely fuck over your bottom line and at possibly requires you to do a complete retrofit of all your vehicles. Wait, what do you mean you don't have a Retrofinator that'll do it instantly? And what's research costs, material cost, labor costs and ROI? I'm too much of an omnidisciplinary genius to worry about petty bushiness terms like that.

Anyways, after this favor you totally owe me one now!!!"

Ahahahah no.
