Funnily enough as long as Lizzy's malus doesn't trigger, Our Intrigue is worse then our Diplomacy, 52 to 56. Even if Lizzy's Malus does trigger, its only worse by 1 point.
I say we bother Gladstone, it'll make Dennis happy and might give us an in with Clan McDuck.

i think the intrigue check might have been for dennis to notice who they were and thus gladstone's luck forced the reroll to fail
That's surprisingly generous of Gladstone's luck. Normally it would just make Dennis notice one of them so he had time to slip away.

To be fair, poking Gladstone is definitely not gonna work unless being poked at can somehow be twisted into good luck, but it'll be fun to trigger the event anyways.

Poking Gladstone is probably the "Reach out to the Duck Family" action.
While I certainly understand the temptation to poke the duck, and won't complain if that's what we go for, I feel I should remind everyone that we are here with the express purpose of stealing an evil army for our openly evil overlord, an action I'm not sure these particular heroes would be able to put a positive spin on to the Good aligned Duck Clan.
