You seriously think those wackos can catch, much less kill, The Blot?
KIll? Yes. Absolutely. Blot's good, but...It's fucking NEGADUCK. Catch? I'll grant that one.

That would have been a great time to have let Xanatos know about the prophecy.

You bastard! Negaduck must die!!!
Ugh. We'll probably have to spend a PA on it...And that might be our only PA, because I REALLY want to PA the Negaduck investigation to ensure Russ doesn't fucking die.

Megavolt
Quackerjack
Bradley Uppercrust III
Bushroot
Liquidator

One of these fearsome villains will attack us!
Probably not any of them actually. Nega's formed a NEW Fearsome Five, probably lacking any members in common with the original.

Praying for Bradley to be the one attacking us, he might be pay to winning it up and mentally unstable enough to make Negaduck give mental props, but he's Bradley! We can take him.

Alright so who's for going all in on defences? Push profit to the wayside, Negaduck is our priority.

Although uh, can we still do AI? Hope Alan doesn't screw up hard enough to directly summon Negaduck or something?

We have at least TWO turns. So...We're probably fine? That said, yeah, let's trap our headquarters.

He allowed himself the briefest moment of consideration of what his options would have been if his overtures to the group that stole his Alcubierre drive had been successful. It was a shame, really, he would have been willing to let the spacecraft go for their help. It wasn't as if they were likely to find anyone foolish enough to buy it from them.
Hm....Ya know, if anyone could convince them to help, it would be the guy who has their, erm, father on staff...And they had, like, a +60 Martial. Even Negaduck might have trouble with THAT.

"Secondary target" ehh....

Fucking negaduck has stolen industrial quantities of the ingredients of The Dip. We all know what happened LAST time someone assembled that, and our community of toon exiles is the only obvious concentrated target. So either 1) Xanatos is mistaken about us only being a secondary target 2) whatever Negaduck is planning is so big that another toontown-level genocide is in fact "secondary" to the grander schemes or 3) it's a psyop. I am rather worried.

EDIT: Or is he just planning to kill every other toon in the CONUS? I'm not sure what to expect from Negaduck.

Uh...No? Calisota, Tezuka Town...Hell, Doomtown itself still has a lot of Toons...

Really wish we had a collab with the Feds lined up for this turn. A huge bonus on our next Negaduck action would have been great.

When I was campaigning for Negaduck preparation last vote, there was an argument that we had enough time to prepare for Negaduck. There was the argument that it was already too late to prepare. There was the argument that Negaduck wasn't our problem, that the Feds would take care of it.

I don't think those panned out.

indeed. That sounds like a crisis incoming.

I got it. THe last initials spell CALL MY BLUFF. We need to tip Xanay off, he's making an awful mistake.

One thing Negaduck has in common with Darkwing: Ego, he needs to be seen, to be known and to be feared.
So he calls his shots in order to maximize fear.
Of course giving David Xanatos a warning and time is about the worst choice you can make.

Makes sense. Welp, let's make the city into a deathtrap!
We're the Doofmeister, let's trap everything.

I agree, that one thing that should be done: prepare traps, both regular and specific for each member of the five.
Warn your staff and security.
Reinforce what can be reinforced.
...and maybe

Fucking negaduck has stolen industrial quantities of the ingredients of The Dip.

make sure little Toontown can be evacuated quickly, maybe drills to that effect?

I mean…
Negaduck's crisis will occur at least two turns from now, but no more than three.

You have unlocked various options to prepare for the Crisis.
I'm pretty sure we have enough time to deal with our end of it.
There was the argument that Negaduck wasn't our problem, that the Feds would take care of it.
I don't really recall anyone saying that Negaduck wasn't going to be our problem, and I mean, the Feds are taking care of it. We see Xanatos in this update prepping for it, as well

Guys easy solution to avoid the problem and confuse Xanny at the same time! Just Invade Drusselstein and move everything there! They'll never see that coming!

My apologize, I guess I jumped the gun a little. I'm not clear on where toons are generally found in Gridlocked lore. And speaking of Doom:

Thankfully, Doom belonged to a small cadre of powerful eccentrics in this country with very obvious levers. He'd had to engage in a level of graft that made even his eyes water, as well as promise the introduction of the 25 lane highway, but he would have the asphalt and the concrete ready if it was needed.
Note the 'if'. Xanatos either thinks there is nonzero possbility he'll be able to talk himself out of the infrastruture deal with Doom, or he thinks an outcome where Doom dies but Negaduck doesn't totally win is a serious consideration.

We definitely need to secure some sort of dip-proof shelter. Something covered and solvent-proof. I can't be SURE those crop dusters are for Dip dispersal but we need to consider the possibility.

Actually, how good are our AA defenses against fast but subsonic aircraft?
