A break-in was reported at the San Fransokyo Museum of Art last month, with the thieves making off with several valuable pieces. While several pieces such as City Rising were recovered at a pawn shop in Piedmont, many others such as The Prologue and the Promise are still missing.
Yes. He felt he had reached as far as he could with DEI and wanted to try being a hero elsewhere.
Admittedly, it wasn't that long ago. Depending on how long we take on the really funny Glomgold interlude we have planned, you have time to catch up on the whole Hego saga.
I'll admit for a while there I thought Shego was letting the drug dealers get away with it for so long because she was in on it somehow but now I'm starting to think it's just laziness mixed with some bad rolls.

...Yeah, David creating a space-travel subsidiary was to be expected considering both his continuing pushing into space over the last few turns and him buying our Room Climate Control for that exact probable purpose - nothing that needs to concern us unless/until we plan on following up on my old "Project DEAR" idea.
Him not being able to nail down Kat in NY sucks a bit, but at least that cat buggered off to Europe, which removes him from our plates for the time being - so I´ll be thankful for Davids heads-up to and work for us.
Given that the name seems to be taken from the high-sec prison Impel Down from One Piece, that means that Glomgold buffed up Alcatraz to an insane degree after buying it - that can´t be good at all.

Mira Nova's otherwise fruitful investigations ran to a screeching halt when the Galactic Federation intercepted a high-powered signal blasting terabytes of data into the galaxy at large. This was hardly unusual, several of their institutions had done the same thing before. Unfortunately, when Mira went to investigate the content of the message, she found herself completely enthralled by strange stories of ninjas, pirates, and monkey men and ended up wasting most of her time. Technically, however, the knowledge gained on the human condition from these works may help speed a broader understanding of the planet's present sociopolitical climate.
You really have no way of knowing this in character. But we wanted to tell you anyway.

The show seems entirely biased against the creatures, clearly aligned with the 'fear and anger' branch of opinion that's been growing in recent months.
...Yeah no, that show needs to be combatted somehow, since it´s quite clearly feeding the Huntsclans´ fearmongering grip on the populace and any messing with Gargoyles so soon-ish after Twelfth Night risks rattling the Magical Masquerade more thanks to the baggage involved.
Maybe we should put heads together about it with David? After all, keeping a lid on the Masquerade and the Hunstclan is in his explicit interest as well.
While Hego suceeding greatly at Heroics after all now makes me happy for him, Olympia signing his checks and therefore him possibly becoming a fallguy for Deavors Screenslaving leaves a bitter taste about the matter in my mouth.

With the real powerbase still hidden in the Exclusion Zone, it's doubtful Shego's apparently hamfisted efforts will amount to much on her own.

While officially citing an inability to adapt to new technologies in the industry, Miniversal fell into a sharp decline after its former CEO, Mr. Sultan, retired. Clearly, his replacement was by no means up to the task of competing against Shere Khan.
While it would raise a few eyebrows and risk an investigation into a potential monopoly, it is predicted that Khan Industries will attempt to purchase its late rival in the future. The aerospace industry has gained new traction that it hasn't had since before the Wynncomm space station disaster. The leap from the sky to the stars is hardly an unlikely one to make.
SK unloading his oil onto the Third World doesn´t matter to us in any way, so I´ll just shrug my shoulders and waddle along.
As for his old rival Minversal going under, I agree that we should try grabbing at least some of its economic mass because to quote that meme, "it´s free real estate" - heck, considering that they declared bankruptcy, I expect the DC and Income Cost of gobbling them up to be very low compared to what you´d expect from what I consider a Prince-tier competitor...can only help us expand our reach.

He either, discovered time travel or is clonning himself, or an expy plot point like this, which is bad one Negaduck is enough Chaos, more than one..... i feel bad for all the other players on board.
Kat:

Drossel and Mira Nova:
Mmmmmm i have a feeling that this could end bad for all parts, ALL OF THEM. All disney space could, COULD interpret that Earth is a Madhouse.
Or we could get an interpretation from space conquerors that there are special riches on earth.
Or we could get a Space poblation, that acts more like anime fans.
This is the most funny thing of everything.
Example:
Imagine that DVV space, learns from dragonball, nos imagine that some of them misunderstand the series, and now we have space people trying to get the dragon balls, or free Buu, for some inane reason....
Hego:
Good for him, he deserves it after sooo many bad rolls., and turns.
Bellweather:
At this point i don't care... nothing she has could cause us problems, so better min max, what she and zootopia can offer us. I mean of all kings, she is one of the most simple ones to deal with.... Of course this could get like a Kat scenario and have an interlude in which she destroys us.......HA.
Bellwether's entire operation relies on no one making a connection between carnivores and Night Howlers. So if we can manage to do agriculture or health care in the area...
I meant that she might refuse to cooperate with us on the drug issue since she dislikes us quite a bit for several reasons, despite us two having worked together quite well in the past, like during the Gala.

Additionally, all of the stats and the roll were obfuscated. We do not even know if the action was a success or not. Or for that matter, what the action even was.

This was in the Crit Turn, which happened in January/February of 2017. It was the first time we saw stats from Drossel, and they're reasonable for the Tempest Domain. Drossel seems to have single digit stats while her heroes have base stats well above the highest we have ever seen from anyone else and traits that put them comfortably in the triple digits.
As with the prior actions, the Odd Transmission action still has what it was obfuscated, but the roll, the stats, and DC are all present. Still, we cannot be certain if the transmissions are merely a side effect of some other action. I get the feeling this action was a Stewardship action. The stats and traits match what we know of Drossel. Additionally it seems to be fairly important, as shown by the high stats. If it is Stewardship the stats would be sensible for Gedächtnis, who is probably responsible for the actual administration of the Domain. But it could very well be any other sort of action, though probably not Intrigue. It is unlikely to be a Learning action though.
This was also the first time we saw more than one action out of the Domain. I would guess it is a Learning action, I don't really think it is anything else. It makes a decent amount of sense for her Learning to be higher than Martial/Diplomacy/Stewardship/Intrigue/Occult. This was also the first time we've seen an action of theirs be named, she was trying to figure out Ængleish.
The cumulative effect of these two actions was to increase the DC for translating the Odd Transmissions.

The DC of Decoding Odd Transmissions has been reduced!
This action was taken July/August 2017, three turns after The Crit Turn and an entire two years after the Odd Transmission began. The action name, DC, and roll were all present. Assuming this is seriously Drossel, the stats would imply it is, itseems that when Drossel critfailed on learning Ængleish she managed to learn 700s-era Japanese. Somehow, she got ahold of a bunch of never-released anime and some released anime. She then translated the anime, dubbing it specifically, from modern Japanese to 700s Japanese.
And hacked the Gridlocked variant of Netflix and Crunchyroll to post them on it.
...just why Drossel? Why?
The fact that Old Japanese matches the speech patterns of the Odd Transmission would suggest she managed to learn it and dub 57 terabytes of anime footage with it, but for some reason isn't speaking in it while doing the transmission.
I'd guess this is either Diplomacy or Stewardship. If it is Stewardship she probably didn't see it as too important because otherwise Gedächtnis should have higher stats, which probably match the Crit Turn transmission action.
This was in the Crit Turn, which happened in January/February of 2017. It was the first time we saw stats from Drossel, and they're reasonable for the Tempest Domain. Drossel is the Nineteenth Lord of Uranos's Kingdom Tempest Domain. It is a kingdom of insane robots that have been warring with humanity for several millennia, with humanity slowly grinding the robots down. It has absolute bullshit technology. But the issue is their programming is basically broken so they won't use it properly and their domain has been falling apart since the death of Lord Windstille von Flügel. Drossel, the daughter of Lord Windstille, has since ruled the Domain, faithfully served by her butler Gedächtnis.
This is from the Japanese anime known as Fireball, which has a total of four seasons.
She's not the Nightmare Queen.
Keep in mind that watching Fireball will not answer any of your questions. It will only generate more.
I mean we have reached out to a lot of people without doing anything with them, this is Bellwether doing the Reach out to DEI action so for the moment it asks nothing from us.
Yeah if in the future they take a start a collab action with DEI we should think about it but for the moment this changes nothing other than swapping our Reach out to Bellwether action to Collab with Bellwether
Wait hold on. i been thinking... one ofthe issues with drossel, is that she cant understand humans in Fireball....
is she... trying to learn modern languages?. In the INSANE robot ai way.
Ugh, i feel like next turn, and the one beyond that we should try to connect with her....
Of course the only thing we know about fireball is that tecnlogy is so far ahead.... so idk what type of treat will come if suddenly she decides to attacks the rest of the board...... and us of course.
Idk what madness will come, if she learns badly any language.

Not only did Drossel dub anime in a language centuries out of date, but she had the Domain adapt manga that hadn't even been animated yet. She then decided to share it all with the world by putting all fifty seven terabytes of it on multiple anime streaming platforms.
Those anime producers and mangaka must be confused as hell right now.
That's the thing. Drossel seems to understand Japanese, she managed to translate modern Japanese to Nara period Japanese. Keep in mind that the Nara period covered the eighth century. They didn't even have guns back then.
And the production was noted to be quite good.
For some reason (see: insanity) Drossel seems to prefer old Japanese.
Bellweather is reaching out to us. I have two thoughts on this.
First: Bellweather controls the populace by drugging people. We are a major food supplier with the cricket farms and dino farms. If there was ever a way for Bellweather to cause mass hysteria, poisoning one of the major food suppliers would be one heck of a way to do it. Between us and Toffee, the USA is fed, but Toffee sells corn where we sell meat. If I were Bellweather, this would be the start of converting people to my ideology. All that is needed, is an opportunity to slip in the Nightshade.
The second: Zootopia has a very interesting placement. Near the Triangle, but with a buffer of Yokai, Zootopia is a great place to monitor cultists from. It also gives us access to the west coast, allowing us to better monitor movement around Hawaii, or escape should things go wrong. If we can establish an embassy for Doofinia, we could get in on that prime real estate. It could also get us in contact with Big, and we could bond over being family men.
All in all, I don't like the sheep, but if we play ball, I bet we can get some valuable assets out of this. Just monitor the food production carefully, and suffer no trespassers.
I think we should try to "Decode Mysterious Transmissions" next turn because I'm taking this as a sign:

Bellwether: As I see it, we were inevitably going to come into conflict with Bellwether eventually. Right now, I think that's something we want to avoid jumping right into. I'm inclined towards the impression that Bellwether doesn't see this as an inevitable conflict, and that she'd be more inclined to try to convince us to her point of view. I think our best approach is probably to seem vaguely interested, but not especially eager. Don't blow her off completely, but leave it to her to push things along. (Sadly, this probably also means we shouldn't send a delegation composed of Coyote and Goofy riding tamed carnivorous dinosaurs, but oh well)
Kat: Eh, I can live with him being out of the country. Bit of a shame we can't really track him out there, but he's out of our hair for now.
Given that the name seems to be taken from the high-sec prison Impel Down from One Piece, that means that Glomgold buffed up Alcatraz to an insane degree after buying it - that can´t be good at all.
So we might wanna keep an eye on that one as well.
Um, why is this not good at all? I for one think that having somewhere to actually put people like Negaduck if they get captured is a good thing. If Glomgold wants to put effort into that, good for him. Granted, I suspect his idea of who should be in there is a bit different, but he's probably not the one deciding that anyway. Am I missing something?
The Anime Explosion: I agree this is probably Drossel trying to communicate. It seems like maybe Mirage might have a bit of an edge on Doof in regards to decryption, maybe, so this might be a good turn to tackle that.
Negaduck (and things that kind of look like a Negaduck): I really don't know what this is, but Negaduck seems happy, so that can't be good. On the other hand, the Feds seem to have a lead, so hopefully they'll take care of it? Hopefully?
Bill: AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! Ahem. Well, this can't be good, and I find that "to be continued..." extremely ominous. I think we might just have to start looking into that, and I think that doing so now, when Mirage is giving us an intrigue boost, might be our best shot. I still think it'd be best to try the San Fransokyo cult, rather than jumping right into Oregon, though.
Hego: I'd say good for him, except that he's almost certainly being set up to help the Screenslaver plot, so unfortunately it probably isn't. Not sure what we can do about that, though.
Shego: Well, that's not great. She's going to have to actually put some thought into this, rather than brute force it. Personally, I'm not sure if offering help is a good idea right now. Doing so immediately after she failed might give the impression we think she's incapable, and I don't think she'd react well to that. But, then, maybe the fact that it isn't Doof offering would help with that? I dunno.
Shere Khan: The big cat seems to be doing well for himself. Personally, I don't think we should try for Miniversal. It's not really something we have a foundation to work from in, so I feel like we'd just be stretching ourselves in yet another direction.
Bakaemono: Given our new prominence in the field of AI, I feel like this could become relevant to us. I'm just not sure how.
Funtelligence: This worries me. I'm not sure why, I'm not sure what, but Tengrove doesn't seem especially stable to me, and shutting himself away seems especially odd, particularly since he's not actually the obsessive inventor type, or really even much of an inventor at all, as I understand it. We might want to look into this. I just get the feeling something significant is going on here, somehow.
ENCOM: Oh, no, poor ENCOM, having a bit of security trouble... shame it isn't even more. I wonder if we could take advantage of them not quite delivering after that big push? Unfortunately, I kind of doubt it; they've got so much lowered expectations that this is practically an improvement. Sigh.
