Here's a list of all the resources Negaduck has at the moment.
  • He's somehow discovered a method to create two Negaduck's
  • Is somehow controlling the weather.
  • Has recreated the Fearsome Five
  • He has the ingredients required to create Dip
  • Has a fleet of cropdusters
  • We have reason to believe that he might have stolen the dimensional scissors
Negaduck is quickly morphing to be an extremely dangerous opponent and with the resources he currently has can quickly snowball into a massive threat.

We also have reason to believe that Negaduck might have stolen the dimensional scissors.

This basically means he can practically pop out of nowhere with a whole fleet of planes and smother a location with Dip before anyone has time to respond.

Why do we think Negaduck has dimensional scissors?

Basically a warehouse was attacked that held the Dimensional Scissors within. The attacker had the same stats as Negaduck's Martial and Negaduck having the Dimensional Scissors is the best explanation on how he can move around so quickly.

Several Seth Supplies Co factories were found burned to the ground in a stunning act of violent sabotage. The perpetrator, motive and death count remains unknown

The bit about stats is good/important evidence.

The other bit, well... Negaduck doesn't show many signs of being able to move that fast. He can travel cross-country in a matter of days without being quickly and easily spotted, but there are a lot of explanations for that. Teleportation via dimensional scissors isn't necessarily the only one or the best one.

Or is there evidence of him, say, traversing a thousand miles in an hour or something? Evidence that holds up now that we know he's apparently got a way of being in two places at once?

Care to elaborate on how two paintings are going to destroy a city?
The paintings, or "City Rising" at least, were made by Lenore Shimamoto, which also hid her schematics for her machine of unlimited power, the same that caused the Great Catastrophe of 1906 which devastated San Fransokyo in the past. In the show, Obake got the schematics and then ditched the painting when he didn't need it anymore.

As far as the old Japanese goes... maybe Kitsune can help us out?

...That´s a very good idea and I am annoyed at myself for not having thought of it as well.

What Learning score does Kitsune have again?

Um, why is this not good at all? I for one think that having somewhere to actually put people like Negaduck if they get captured is a good thing. If Glomgold wants to put effort into that, good for him. Granted, I suspect his idea of who should be in there is a bit different, but he's probably not the one deciding that anyway. Am I missing something?

Because I´d rather not have someone like Glomgold control someone like ND in any fashion.

And more pragmatically, I don´t want him to look good in the eyes of the public any more than absolutely needed.

Only 16, and it can't really benefit from Now You See Me (+half occult on checks to sabotage or impair) or Henge Field Advantage (+15 for asian stuff, but only to occult checks) so she's probably not the best woman to turn to, especially this turn of all turns.

Damn, that really sucks - woulda been neat if that worked.

Now I wish we´d already that Council thing going for us, which is rumored to allow us to do some wacky stuff in appointing Operatives to NAs...

Nah, it's gomez.

Not our best hero but decent enough and it just had a DC reduction because of last turns bare failure.

Although, with doof frozen our extra bonus from our learning from gomezs trait will be reduced...

Yeah, but Coven is an Occult option, meaning that Mirage taking over next turn won´t cause that big a drop in bonus there.

Next turn with Mirage and Gomez, the occult roll and assorted bonuses should come out to:
5 (Mirage Learning/2) + 11 (Gomez) + 1 (loyalty) = +17 on a DC 48 action.

If we take the simplest route of applying +10 XP to the roll, we roll +27 on DC 48, so even with Mirage it's like 80ish% chance of success, and 10% of bare fail and knocking the DC down for what is almost certainly a crit the next turn

We shouldn't take the simplest route. It's better to drop the DC by 8 and increase our roll by 2. That way, we don't crit fail except on a 1, and we have a 40% chance of a crit. Just adding to the roll gives us only a 32% chance of a crit, and doesn't change the likelihood of a bare success or crit failure.

And, of course, all this stuff happens on the turn where most of our stats have gone to shit. Because why not?!

Honestly, this report seemed pretty uneventful.

Also, idea discussed in server posting here for posterity: Since Mirage has much lower Learning then Doof, have Wendy take a PA (Work on her show, analyze CJ, talk to Trevor) next turn and choose a low DC action to collaborate with the II on, while using one of our Diplo actions on reaching out to the II again, so we can have Wendy working with Dottie on the secrets of AI sapience afterwards. with Doof's Learning and whatever bonus the Council may offer backing her up.

Meh i say we try to decode the message even with our stats, and continue with it till we manage to break it or, someone else do it.

At this point someone else could get it, and at least i want to try beating the piñata, before someone else breaks it.
