To be fair I don't think there's any proof that Mewmans descended from Humans, sinc ein the various dimensions that the show explores there are plenty of species that resemble humans but aren't, and there are some major physical changes surrounding puberty though that could just be related to magic
No, the 4th season directly confirmed that Mewmans descend from humans. Every dimension has some kind of natural connection to the Realm of Magic somewhere in it. In the Earth dimension, a bunch of humans a long time ago ended up sailing through the RoM and came out in the monster-inhabited dimension that would later be known as "Mewni." Their memories had been completely wiped from over-exposure to magic at the time, though they probably got them back after the effects of magic wore off. Over-exposure to magic just seems to make people act like they're on drugs for awhile.

After they sailed to the other side while still in that magic-high state, Glossaryk and a baby Meteora from the future appeared as part of Meteora's training to dip down. While there, Glossaryk opened and closed a paradox by remembering to take Meteora's baby rattle and turn it in to the royal wand. He then gave it to one of the peasants that was on the boat.

I don't know how much of that is changed by this setting being what it is though.

It looks like Shegos Intrigue was 22 in that update so I'm not sure where the 38 in the first one came from unless it's a trait

Yeah Toffee never had a problem with magic, and in fact was more than happy to use it himself, but rather with how the Royal Family used their magic to completely destroy his people

If Toffee has already won then he already has access to plenty of magic

And how Toffee actually feels about Mewmans rather than just the Royal Family really depends on how he's connected to Eclipsa which I don't think has ever been stated

We not only see that mewmans are descended from humans, but which humans they are descended from.

They're early residents of Echo Creek.

Xanatos Intrigue Check- Identify Doof's Partner
DC 90 needed: 50+72=122
Success!

So Xanatos needed a DC 90 check, though he is on the east coast and is likely not a familiar with Shego as Sydrome would be.

You received an email out of nowhere the other day detailing a lot of information about the Sands Gala, from floorplans of the casino to details about the exhibits! Naturally this seemed a little fishy, so you ran it by your new supervillain employees… and surprisingly enough, Technor said that this was legit! This was sourced from a rather reliable information broker.

Anyway, most of the content on the floor will be just general showy stuff, including some new technology you might be able to throw together too if you wanted to be petty, but the highlight is a new solid state drive that is able to encapsulate an advanced, polymorphic AI system that can be rapidly distributed across a network. For some ungodly reason Syndrome built it in the shape of a poker chip, probably to go along with the whole 'casino' theme. After thinking for a few minutes, you realize that if you got your hands on this thing, it could potentially upgrade your entire Normbot network. At once. It could potentially work on other networks of robots as well, but come on- there's no way you're letting Syndrome keep that thing, right? The only thing that put a damper on your mood was when you noticed that the email was carbon copied to Shego as well.

Xanatos isn't the one who leaked. Interesting.

Speaking the magic realm's effects, inator idea!

Forget-about-it-inator (microwave setting): a random hero unit loses a personal action.

Tbf, Doof has a decent amount of traits against Intrigue and infiltration options.
Diseased Lunatic from Danville: Most everyone thinks you're a moron who somehow managed to luck into a position of power. Any Intrigue actions made against you or DEI have their DC increased by 25 points.
COMPLETELY EXPECTED: In the event that hostile forces attempt to infiltrate your headquarters, your countless masterwork traps increase their DC by 20.
Gary the Toy Goozim: -5 malus to anyone attacking or infiltrating DEI Headquarters.
We have a lot of potential in that direction.

Fair.

On the other hand, I can't help but wonder if one of the hallmarks of a high-Intrigue character is that they can successfully obfuscate their Intrigue bonus if they so choose, because otherwise it'd be pretty easy to tell who was responsible for any given super-Intrigue coup. :p

The catch is that the latter trait may fade as others learn not to underestimate us- Xanatos certainly won't do that again, after we absentmindedly revealed that We Know.

And the other two traits apply only to attempts to physically infiltrate or attack or HQ; they don't protect us against hacking or espionage elsewhere in our territory.

...

Did anyone just catch that as of now, tecccchnically, the dinosaurs have gone extinct twice, once from an asteroid and once from Gary the Toy Goozim?

"Oh, that reminds me! You're both interested in genetics, aren't you? Well… behold!" you say in an incredibly restrained voice. "The first living dinosaur to grace this planet in sixty-five million years!" You'll just leave that bit about Gary eating the first one in the footnotes once you eventually publish.

Well at least we're not going to be the reason for the 3rd.

I don't think of the second as our fault. That's on Gary.

I think of Gary the Toy Goozim as an independent non-aligned faction that happens to allow us to live in his den, on sufferance, as long as we provide good snacks.

Certainly, Gary thinks of us that way.

Xanatos Quest has three action difficulties: success, success with consequences, failure with benefits. As capabilities rise, more options become available. Xanatos doesn't bother thinking of things that would fail utterly and they don't show up on the action list.

It's a little restrictive, but Legend of Zelda has been working off similar principles for years. Gain iron boots and underwater breathing ability, then pursue the underwater level.

I'm pretty sure he can still get an outright failure when someone's actively opposing him.

But I bet he's got a trait sort of like the opposite of our toon characters, where the critical failure and critical success thresholds are respectively lowered and raised, reducing the risk of anything going seriously wrong.

Can we make the raptor even better? We can make it to IndoRaptor with more genetic research or if we able to get Jookiba, mix it with his experiments DNA. The mount will be terrifying.

Mixing and matching dinosaur DNAs in search of a fiercer specimen... did the Jurassic films teach you nothing? You should damn well know how that ends! :o
