If we're fighting outside, we can't use our awesome magical skills as much. Inside, we get cooler fights.

Xanatos definitely has problems for both options, otherwise he would have told us to only do one thing.

[X] After her!

As another plus we're leaving the huntsclan and Goliath's supposed " Killers" high and dry to be killed by an army of clone gargoyles.

and nothing of value was lost

Hmmm the pack seem a lot more competent then I expected tbh.

I mean seriously They get easily bested by the Manhattan clan most of the time and Goliath has made good showing of nearly soloing them iirc.looks like someone seriously upgraded their gear and skills.

suprised Xanatos didn't have them on his leash though

Xanatos considered Goliath to be 'the greatest warrior alive' in their own show. The Pack not matching up to him at times doesn't mean they lack skill. Heck, if I'm remembering correctly the only times they got stomped was when they had lesser numbers and when they had even numbers to the Manhatten Clan they were only just barely defeated.

[X] After her!

[X] Hold the line

Sure, the plot coupon is inside, but letting the whole place get overrun doesn't sound like a great idea either.

Both options have issues and downsides - I tossed my vote in for going inside, and now that I've got a little more time I'll explain why.

Mechanically, inside we probably lose the hiding magic malus and gain the +5 from understanding the bunker defenses.

Narratively, the interesting characters are all going to be inside. I'd much rather have updates featuring Puck, Xanatos, Demona, and the Glooms than updates featuring unnamed mooks, the Huntsmaster, and the pack.

Pack Martial Check: Obligatory war crime
*facepalm* this would be funny if it wasn't such an accurate commentary on these guys. Which brings up a consideration on our vote: Do we want to leave any more Darwin Award seeking New Yorkers to the highly dubious protection of the Drakon mob and the Huntsclan? And that's not rhetorical; between New York's terrible survival instincts, the mob and Huntsclan's probable lack of concern for civilian casualties, our opponents considering civilian casualties to be a nice side benefit, and our ability to protect civilians balanced against our weakness to hostage taking, I'm seriously not sure which is better in this situation.

That said, do we not have a way to contact Xanatos and let him know we haven't seen Demona? Then make a more informed decision? I'm for that if at all possible.

[X] Write in: Contact Xanay.

Another reason for going in:

With how strong especially the Pack seems to be, there is a considerable chance of Demonas forces managing to wedge themselves between the "frontlines" where we are right now and the "inner sanctum", meaning that we might get separated from any support lines and get stomped completly on our lonesome out here.

Also a reason why I asked whether we can take Dracons goons with us on an ordered reatreat inwards. As much as they might be rabble, Dracons goons are still considered tangentially allied with us/Xanatos unlike the Huntsclan, who A) are simply a bunch of assholes who happened to currently fight the same other assholes as we do and B) are in no way actually affiliated with the loose current "Defenders of NYC" Alliance (Xanatos Industries, Dracon-goons, the Glooms as and *technically* Horvath, but after seeing the DCsfor him appearing at any point during the Crisis, his support was very unlikely from the start). So in the end we might be able to "save" Dracons goons from getting crushed and gain some goodwill with them.

That said, do we not have a way to contact Xanatos and let him know we haven't seen Demona? Then make a more informed decision? I'm for that if at all possible.

Wouldn´t mind either that write-in or a variant of "after her!" where we take Dracons goons with us.

I think it's just a very common absent-minded switch people make, because "Grimms" is about as plausible a name for a married couple of cartoon-villain wizards as "Glooms" is, and they are very similar.

I've heard it said that human beings tend to actually mostly remember the first and last letters of a word, and maybe the length, so if you sacmlbe all the lteetrs of a word, the word tends to remain recognizable, as the clause before last in this sentence illustrates.

A corollary of that is that it's really easy to mistake one five-letter name beginning in G and ending in M for another five-letter name beginning in G and ending in M, especially when it refers to obscure bit characters.

Grim is actually the name of one of the two Glooms. They're named Grim Gloom and Hildy Gloom.

[X] Hold the line

see, the thing about Xanatos Plans is that, he'll plan for us holding the line or running inside, depending on which action we take.

I just think staying outside with the pack is funnier than going inside. Xanatos in his power armor + Puck + whatever else he has in there can probably beat Demona and Brooklyn if they're isolated.

The Horde, the Pack, the Mob. Send the Glooms inside to help against Demona, everybody else can hold the front
