Okay, since discussion is dying down, I thought I'd go through some Hero Units and see if we could make a vehicle or lair for them since Janus Lee and Roddy Blair have those in Personal Actions.

  • LOVEMUFFIN: An evil Lair would probably help with their loyalty and might give them a bit of a boost in research and the like, so a Lair should be a priority. Dunno about a vehicle, unless we get some sort of TARDIS clown car.
  • Major Monogram: OWCA could have a new and improved headquarters.
  • Genghis Khan: Give him a nice yurt, maybe? We seem pretty intent on giving him a dinosaur to ride on, so not sure if he needs a vehicle.
  • Agent Russ: We're already giving him a new spycycle, and a Lair would probably just go to the government.
  • Norm Prime: Good for lulz, but doesn't really need a car. Maybe a Lair as an apartment when we're ready to consider him a son.
  • Hego: Priority. Hego's our superhero, he's already experienced with having superhero bases and super vehicles. We've been neglecting him too long, we need to make up for it.
  • Dennis the Duck: Obligatory sandwich truck joke.
  • Technor: Maybe when we can fix his power problems. An evil lair/psychiatrists office combo?
  • Vanessa: Our little visigoth pumpkin's going to need some graduation presents soon. Plus giving her an awesome tech car and a trap-filled apartment would be great to protect her.
  • Jumba, Ludivine Von Drake, Queen Lizzy: Much like LOVEMUFFIN, a new laboratory.
  • Tobe: Give him and his pals a dojo to hang out and train in and a NINJA! car to drive around in.
  • Phineas and Ferb: Nothing we could give them could hope to match what they could make for themselves.
Janus should make Roddy a vehicle, maybe a super souped up construction vehicle could give him a further boost towards construction rolls.

Conversly, Roddy makes Lee an amazing garage/mechanic setup lair for even more advanced custom vehicles.

*Looks and see that Janna's Evil lair isn't mentioned* My disappointment is inmensurable and my day is ruined.

Goofy: I have no idea what a lair would look like for him, but I kinda want to find out.
Roddy: Everyone wants a lair from Roddy, but has anyone ever asked what kind of lair Roddy wants? He should make something nice for himself.
Janna: Probably not, I don't know how we'd top the haunted castle we're bringing in this turn.
Kitsune: Kitsune's lair is designed to be as unpleasant to navigate as possible without quite being bad enough to make whoever was sent into it give up. It serves no other purpose.
Alan: Lots of computers, along with those monitors you see on TV that allow the audience to read off the user's face and keyboards designed to withstand very fast and very hard typing. Alan insisted that the last two things were unnecessary and not how hacking works, but he was probably just being modest.

Everyone who enters is absolutely convinced the place is layered in cunning illusions. There aren't any. It's entirely mundane.

I'm now switching to an unreasonably convoluted user interface!

I'm not sure how actually useful it'd be, but right before Luck be a Lady we got to see some of Goofy's driving, and it was hilarious. I kinda want him to get a car.

Edit: Also, Vanessa would super love one, though we'd probably never get much benefit from it.

Well, we can't let him drive it, of course. Get him a Toon car, so it can drive itself. (I'd recommend Benny the Cab, but A. He's probably dead and B. He's also a terrible driver, by human standards). I say by human standards, because, well, Goofy is an excellent driver for a Toon: Toons do what's funny, and it's funny to see him go berzerk behind the wheel. Plus, of course, there's the fact that, well...For a human, a 40 MPH frontal collision is a potential tragedy, for a Toon, it's wacky hijinks.

Make Vanessa a heavily-armored vehicle with ALL the surveillance equipment, so once she figures out how to Woman In The Chair she can be the getaway driver without ever being in any actual danger. If we have the cloaking tech researched by then, make the vehicle invisible for extra protection and getaway potential.

Seems to be taking a while to get the results this time.

I hope they're just busy and not working out ways to explain all the critical failures and nat ones...

Considering him being both a Toon and the main character/actor in the Disney short "Motor Mania", I am not surprised in the slightest about Goofy having a...*particularly offensive* driving style

...Now I want him to take the Drusselstein Driving Test Waltz, just to see the carnage...

I think it's less that they're taking a while, and more that this time they didn't release a full set of turn results within three hours of the vote closing to get it done the same day.

It's atypical, sure, but it's also confirmation that the cabal is composed of mere mortals rather than the platonic ideal of quest runners.

We should probably wait at least one day before getting worried.

He would ace it no problem, actually now that I think about it we should have our PMC do the Drusselstein Driving Test Waltz, that style of driving would be perfect for combat.

Hey @Made in Heaven @weredrago2 , do you guys know a GM for a DVV gridlocked game named Architecht? Usually has a Kamina icon? I also saw you named Arathorn earlier in quest. I used to spectate his games and had to leave cause of college time conflicts, but I bring him up because one of his players is Agent Russ. Anyways, love how you two brought DVV into bigger attention like this and I absolutely love all the plot threads you have going on in the quest. Can't wait for more!

Heh heh heh. Do I know him? Who else can you trust to consult on the clusterfuck that was my campaign?

Howdy Dungeons! Its been a while! I use a Metal Sonic icon on Discord these days.

It would be pretty useful for morale-breaking attacks and generally "roughing up the competition" for easier takeovers, if nothing else

EDIT:

I mean, just imagine stuff like that coming your way while you are trying to assault DEI turf...not that enthused anymore, huh?

Possible Stewardship Action:

[ ] Replace driving education in Doofania with Drusselstein Driving Test Waltz

Don't have a DC or a description, though

"Hello, police? I think my QM might have managed to escape from the basement I was keeping them locked up in. It's been over 18 hours since they updated now, and I'm getting worried.

...

Yes, I know kidnapping is 'technically' a crime, but have you read Doofquest? It's just, so great. It'd be a bigger crime to let them go at this point, really."
