[X] [Marriage] From one of the Forhuch tribes to secure their loyalty
[] [Marriage] From the Storm Ymaryn to gain an alliance

Personally, I think we should have him marry both the Storm Ymaryn and the Forhuch brides, as we have polygamy. Show the maximum level of acceptance.

I also think the Storm Ymaryn is a major opportunity that we're potentially squandering. We could secure our western borders for a critical couple of generations, giving us the time we need to digest our gains in the east.

It might also open up opportunities like inviting our King's nephews to be taught in our Academy. Or even to place a Ymaryn raised son of our King on the Storm Ymaryn Throne.

Slavery is banned in all vassals; just ask the Txolla about that.

Banned, or 'banned'.

We set a precedent for how we treat our vassals when we took over the Txolla.

Ymaryn slave laws are applied as well as the other major laws, however we also give them access to all our tech advances and experts on how to make them. Thus it balances out, some social disharmony for a massive economic boost.

I was under the impression they just perverted the half-exile system to effectively retain many of the economic benefits of slavery, a practice our core (then) also took up.

This could get us another "A strangers experience with Valleyhome" interlude, which totally makes it the best choice.

Especially since the government upgrade will probably require an additional sub turn anyway, where her perspective could be a nice way to spice it up a bit.

No more than the core did.

At 10-15% of the population, that's pretty much the same as 'banned' rather than banned.

Do we know if we've applied the laws about paying half-exiles to our vassals? I'm not sure how they'd afford them if we do? Double wealth costs are ruinous for us in the long term, but for people without ironworks, markets, or the true cities to put them in they'd be immediately catastrophic, particularly now our Artisan Games are open to them, so loads of actions have Wealth costs.

Exactly the same would apply to a Storm Ymaryn princess. Except that she could probably speak the language and so actually interact with people from the start.

Well from their action history they rarely take things with wealth cost... and none since the decision was made.

OK, what do you mean by 'ruinous'?

The cost of a main action raise army is 10 wealth to defend themselves, ditto for support artisans which they will need if they want a TC and thus gain access to market income.

Previously, what is the best way for our lowland vassals to gain wealth? Plant textiles or drugs will net them 7 wealth.

So, for all intent and purpose, they will need to do two plant actions to gain access to do whatever they need to do to support a TC, which does not include building an aqueduct and bath.

However, it must be noted that without the ban on Unfree labor, they wouldn't have any incentive to build cities.

Well from their action history they rarely take things with wealth cost... and none since the decision was made.

Both Txolla and Thunder Horse spend money on building roads and for the last several turns mostly been focused on expansion and filling in spaces anyway.

[X] [Marriage] From the Storm Ymaryn to gain an alliance
Based on the cultures in question, this is more likely to produce something shippable. Yes, that is clearly the highest priority right now.

Martial god of war king marries potentially creepy lady from the black sheep of the family.
Notice something about that?
That's how you get a Malekith.

NEVER GET A MALEKITH.
I dunno, if I had been in doubt whether or not I should vote SY, this would've easily pushed me in favour of.

A much better and yet still dark elf related argument against would be that, seeing as the Storm Ymaryn are our offshoot civilization, a marriage alliance with them is essentially incest.

Ok so looks like currently we're doing

M restore order
S EJ
S Grand Hall
2xS Highlander war
2xGuild mills
Guild S survey
Forhuch marriage

How does this treat us stat wise?
All that and a goddamn secondary RO. Seriously, I'm soon going to forget etiquette and start just tagging people.

Plus, I think we should really reconsider MP support and go for offensive at least, but we could ask our Genius about that.

Plus an extra secondary Restore Order if the vote order doesn't change. I'm hopeful that that will become a third war mission.

Grand Hall will spend half our Econ, Great Dam will spend the other half - though the provinces will do that, so I'm not certain of the exact ordering.

Enforce Justice, Restore Order, and Survey are free.

War is free up front, might cost Econ if it goes badly.

Mills are expensive, but that's actually helpful for breaking the Gilded Age.

The provinces are likely to Expand Econ after that.
