Hmm. Instead of destroying the memory device, propose tuning it to something we don't care about - a random rock on the ground, for example - and then holding on to it. Possible future use cases: Tune it to Kyubey and give it to Madoka. Give it to Hijiri to cut her back off from telepathy so she can't keep Yuuri informed on our position. Holding on to it safely should be trivial, just stick it in a random grief sphere like we do with all of our other goodies.

I think it got semi-lost. We poked Sayaka about antimagic, but my previous votes "point out descrepancies, ignorance or malice" was kind of elided over.

Some more evidence to the Pleiades that we aren't just taking her at her word can only be helpful, I think.

1: Hijiri has snapped at us for taking her side. I'd say this implies that being too supportive is as possible to lead to a failure state as Hijiri feeling attacked. And it's the mistake Sabrina is more likely to make.


2: Added hinting at Hijiri not being alone.

We've talked about this. Well, argued vehemently. It's been said before, it needs to be said again: I think this is necessary.

On top of the reasons from two votes ago, right now, Hijiri very obviously feels alone in the world. She envies Niko having the Saints. This will give her something to latch onto.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Hijiri's current situation is that she was lonely before and Anri ended up as someone for her to latch onto. It's well known that one of the big parts of both cults and radicalizing people is taking someone who's extremely lonely or otherwise isolated and giving them a place or cause to call theirs. And thereafter they end up with the zeal of converts.

It wasn't about the support, it was that Brinapilot's intervention made Hijiri feel like we were taking control away from her again - "I don't need you to defend me" is "I can do this myself" or "I need to do this myself".

She's not entirely wrong to think like that. I mean, if we weren't around, then Sayaka'd probably bite the dust real soon like she always does, but a magical girl can be a force for good. Well, there's a little caveat that after some time they almost inevitably become the things they fight, like Jedi, Inquisitors, Beowulf.

Kyousuke is kinda egocentric, I guess? When I watched, he had seemed fine to me, or, to be truthful, I wasn't paying much attention to him at all. Well, he is a teenager, male one at that. Still strange. Doesn't he think about the girls? I distinctly remember having trouble thinking about anything else but the girls. Puberty is a thing. Oh, and now I remembered his crush on Homura. Nevermind. Maybe he just likes bishies more.

Also, I think QB intentionally avoids contracting anyone in the vicinity of Sabrina. For many possible reasons. He contracted Sayaka only because she is a stepping stone on his way to Madokami. Stupid bastard.

It's an either/or situation, I think. On one hand, you could've squeezed some useful information out of it. On the other, Mami has enough abandonment issues as it is, without QB to draw them out. Do I have to tell that you made the right call? Not that my opinion matters in this instance. It was a year and a half ago.

Sayaka: Sabrina can't multitask that well, she gets to item 3 or 4 on the to-do list which involves Mami and the que just stops.
 
That's AiYo for you. The power of Mami Rabu is some of the most powerful in the universe.

I really like how organically it happened though. No weird Love At First Sight stuff, just Sabrina and Mami slowly growing closer and eventually developing fellings for one another.

Firn, do you have any ideas for what kind of scene you'll write when Sabrina inevitably confesses to Mami or vice versa?
