This will literally destroy our entire polity when we get the next two stab hits when next turn begins.
What makes you think we have not already? Western Ymaryn has PiA which means they took Economy in exchange for Stability. That is why we are only at -1 right now.

ANYWAY!!!!

Since everyone seems to not have checked the list yet!

Western Ymaryn have PiA. A loss in Stability will result in Economy flowing from us to them. That is not something we can take right now.

Couple things to note 1 we're in a gilded age so we will lose a stability a turn, 2 the Western Ymaryn have Pride in Acceptance so we can expect some Economy loss a turn from the stability loss, 3 if I remember correctly iron Fist was a casus Belli generator of some kind, I don't think AN ever went into details.

Status Panem: All True Cities and Free Cities cost an additional -1 Econ each per turn as additional food is distributed to the urban poor. Urban Poor faction adds faction power to Urban challenge rolls

Told you food had to come from somewhere.

"To a degree, but especially with the bread dole now in place we can better keep them dependent upon the nobility and the crown than we can with the yeomanry, who have farms and, assuming they don't do something stupid, can just use the productivity of their farms to keep themselves alive if they decide to defy the crown. With the city dwellers, if they defy us, we just cut off the supply of grain and wait until their bellies bring them crawling back to us. Besides, your proposal seems rather... you know what, I'm just going to come out and say what every one of us has been thinking: you want an excuse to oggle our daughters' tits," Myranyn accused, causing the gathering to erupt in various degrees of disagreement.

I'm not going to arm the poor and make them dependent on the Nobility for food.

Upgrading our food production will solve a lot of stupid problems now and down the line.

Hope they will give something less gold related but more trading for keeping things supplied.

What's a government that can't manage it's subjects? Would people start caring now that WW is independent in all but name?

I hope this is safe to start?

[] [Iron] Gain the Steel Fist Legacy
I think this might be martial in character? That would be pretty convenient right now and generally valuable. We're spoiled for choice with [Iron] being a reward, of course.

This most likely generates casus belli
[X] [Iron] Upgrade Iron Blooded to Steel Blooded
This should be a nice efficiency increase on our Expand Economy action that either us or our provinces will do more or less every turn when not in an event that provides a glut of resources.

[X] [PiA] Harmurri (Something trade related maybe [Not Center of Trade related])
Seems safest to me? I'm not sure about the Honour Code stuff.

[X] [GA] Financial innovation (-8 Wealth)
This could resolve or grant resistance to the liquidity crisis? And it's okay to go down to 5 wealth now that we don't have Rule of Gold, right?

[X] [GA] Subordinate reform (-10 Prestige)
We have 11/11+4 periphery states so this cost doesn't cause any problems, right? I think this could be quite valuable right now.

Thanks for remembering!
The other possibility was Iron Fist, a casus belli generator.

What the heck did we even roll to get this kind of situation? Were all the dice gods drunk or something?

We willingly starved ourselves by planting cash crops and throwing money into military imstead of, ypu know, not starving ourselves.

Starving farmers to feed warriors is as anti-Ymaryn as it gets btw. Maybe people thought we are playing Xohyr quest?

I am not liking the arm the poor idea. We need Steel Blooded, hopefully it will boost our econ generation further allowing us to survive the coming turns with the immense increase in econ loss. Especially since I'm not giving up on Dam-kun.

Khemetri spiritual value because I want their ability to burn RA instead of stability. Especially since we now lose econ when we lose stability...

Not statving ourselves voluntarily would have been enough to survive it. :V

Plus PS is an econ booster via all the settlements, and we are good at generating Centralization, so...

I want these both, but I don't want to spend Stability when we're already at -1, so I'll just approve of both individually.

[X] [Iron] Upgrade Iron Blooded to Steel Blooded

Iron Blooded was what started the Wave of Ymaryn a while ago. Considering we just had trouble with Econ, boosting it up again seems like a reasonable thing to do.

[X] [PiA] Mountain Horse (Probably an Honour Code)
[X] [PiA] Khemetri (Probably a Spiritual Value, hard to tell compatibility with new religion)
[X] [PiA] Freehills (Social Value)
[X] [PiA] Storm Tribes (Probably an Honour Code)
[X] [PiA] Nomads (Honour Code)

Honour Codes could useful now that we're establishing new military practice, and particular the Nomad option may feed into our Spiritbonded. God Kings (if that's the one we get) is useful in the short term for helping alleviate Stability woes, and may provide an interesting and powerful fusion with Philosopher Kings (which also means we won't be saddled with it's primary effect for forever, since it will be subsumed into Philosopher King's primary effect). Finally, taking from Freehills to start getting an idea of what their spread is like seems useful, and there's a moderate though not huge chance that it'll be a trait that helps maintain Stability, which again is pretty useful right now.

[X] [GA] Administrative innovation (-8 Wealth)

DAM

Also, it'll provide a boost to Stability when it completes, since it's an Engineering mega-project, and also will help further stabilize Econ once established, as well as improve our general architectural tech.

After remembering that cities also all cost one more now, it seems like the boost in Econ from Steel Blooded is already basically eaten up, which doesn't leave easy room for paying the cost of the Dam actions. Instead, I'm going with administrative innovation, to hopefully aid in finishing off the Urban Poor quest and start putting out fires.

That actually reminds me. @Academia Nut two questions.

1) Was the Ironworks an Engineering project? Did it's completion trigger the Canal bonus?

2) Do we know or have any idea who the Western Ymaryn are selecting for PiA?

Statuses
King of the Hill: You are the most prestigious polity around, gaining you +1 Diplomacy a turn, but all other groups gain the 'Take the Crown' casus belli
Efficient Economy:
+1 Wealth/turn while above Econ 10
Disrupted Trade - Pirate kingdom is causing a trade disruption and will do so until dealt with
Urban Plague - Outside of the capital and free cities, the major urban centers have been largely abandoned due to plague, will begin repopulating one a turn, assuming EE sufficiently low
Second Son Crisis - Lesser warriors are flowing outward, attacking outsiders and risk bringing retribution to the rest of the People. They must be reined in, but once the seed of the frontier has been planted it is hard to uproot. Causes trouble each turn, may end on its own but can be definitively ended with: Max Legitimacy? and 2 of (Max Cent?, Martial Less than 3?, Yeomen Power 0?); or a Civil War
Gilded Age - Gain +1 Wealth/True City, gain access to Golden Age bonuses, but lose 1 Stability every turn
Panem: All True Cities and Free Cities cost an additional -1 Econ each per turn as additional food is distributed to the urban poor. Urban Poor faction adds faction power to Urban challenge rolls
We are no longer suffering from a currency crisis. The panem solved the issue.
