Hey, look on the bright side - we can straight up walk to Trelli and take it.

If we come out of this holding the whole Black Sea, it will have been worth it. Barely.

If at all possible, I'd like to pounce on the chance. Can't we scrounge up a simple War Mission?

It's far more productive than spending stats on Suppress Faction.

We've warred with Trelli forever for this. It just fell on our laps.

Not due to our actions, only due to dumb luck.
Plus defending it from all who want straits sounds like fulltime job. I would rather ask Harmurri for access to ocean and go into Indian Ocean trade.

We still have to siege the city itself, unfortunately. Like it's possible to starve them out now since they have no food, but...it's still rolling the dice and our luck with martial has not been great lately.

Honestly? Maybe we should just send them a trade mission with food, see if we can vassalize them that way. Spread the good word of Mylathadism, greed has brought them only ruin!

So? If you have found a gold mine, you are going to have to protect it from bandits. We will fully own the Black Sea.

Honestly? Sounds well worth it. It's just about impossible for them to win in this situation. Not starved out city dwellers versus a top tier army. They can't sally, they can't wait it out, everything is too on fire right now to go help them.
 
If we don't conquer them, who will? Khem? One of the larger pirate groups?
Can you imagine pirates using Trelli as their main base, how hard that would be to stop?
 
Fighting a civil war now might be less disastrous than attempted seize of Treille, fending off Storm Wolf when WW calls for help, and HK/KH king of the hill war. :V

Not that we are in any position to do any of these, Lowland and twin horses must be quite conflicted.
 
Direct assault on the city. It was a decent chance of taking at their full strength. We have an actual navy now, and they can't defend or reinforce the city.

As I apparently choose horribly last time (what else is new...) lets see if I can't vote a bit more reasonably this time around.

We will probably end up grabbing both and it might even work out for the best but with how things have been going recently I am just going to vote for one rather than both.

On one hand I am passing up value slots again, on the other this legacy is called the Steel Fist legacy. I would love to have both this and iron blooded.

I want to try grabbing a value from these guys. Perhaps it will work better with our values than the other did.

The longer it gets, I can't help but think that going full Mylathad as soon as it was organized would've prevented, or at the very least mitigated the whole Second Sons/Western Ymaryn debacle, the cash crops vs food crisis, and the currency crisis.

Stability costs aside, were there any other reasons we ignored our Mystic Genius?

For me the guy at the time was preaching an entirely new radical idea, and would rather let him stew to refine it better.

Then i was happy when he walk the talk and had voted for granting him a temple, but the great debate was chosen instead.

So the situation might have been a lot less bad, but can't say for sure.

We wanted them to go through full debate routine to git gud at debating and nlt compromise PK.
But yeah full Mylathad would've likely helped.
