That northern trade post is as far from the nomads as hatvalley is from them. There are no nomads up there, not the kind we are used to.

I'm pretty sure the Tax Problem was papered over because of the influx of wealth (aka trade disruption ending) not the festival, which spent the "blood money" wealth to enrich the people.
We're making so much money from trade that we have excess even with the Tax Crisis, which makes it seem like less of a big deal, even though it is still a large problem.
What corruption? We have not done anything to increase corruption recently. Not taking the Stability right now because you dislike festivals (as opposed to liking the other options) just sounds like being ascetic for the hell of it.

We are more preapred for navam warfare (Hathyn) then we are with winter and the various tribes there that may be hostile thats not even including the nomads as well who will impede any help we can send up there. At best the Trelli will call off their raiders and at worst they just continue their raiding policy which will anger our periphery states thus forcing us to build the Grand Docks for actual warships.

No to integration for now. Integration has a possibility of lowering our centralization cap (geometric complexity for each additional province) and the additional Martial won't help us. Let's finish the Palace first and lose some of that Martial.
We can pay the Mercenary Company 0 Wealth at no penalty to us. The additional Mercenary Company lets us engage with the Trelli if they decide to send something our way. If we decide to make a trading post later, having a spare Mercenary Company ready to deploy is useful.

Yeah, as we are now, we've got land warfare covered. Between our iron advantage, shield walls, high numbers, good logistical base and decent tactics and cutting edge understanding of cavalry, we should be able to beat a horde unless everything goes to complete shit. And the fact that we have longboats makes fighting on rivers pretty much our specialty.
But at sea, we're pretty shit. Excellent traders and all, but otherwise not good at ship to ship, mostly since we've never needed to be.
We kinda are. Not amazingly and without any of the focus that the Trelli have had, but we're not gonna get advances in that without something pushing us to it, and our archery and longships are both pretty powerful.
On that note though we definitely need More Boats if we go with Trelli West. If Trails gets noticeably in the lead I'll definitely go with Northern.
edit: Don't forget that we had a good number of engagements with Hath raiders. Not a major naval battle, but it's not something we've never done before.

That corruption. I don't dislike festivals and it has nothing to do with being ascetic. AN has said it pretty much just kind of ignores the issue that actually stems from the lowered stability. It's a paper covering that eventually just shatters.
Things like enforce justice and RO actually fix the problem. Hell, the only reason I didn't vote for a festival last turn is because I thought the provinces wouldn't build on the palace due to Econ requirements. It has its uses. They all do.
The Trelli are sure to give us one soon enough, at the current rate.
Except this crises and this form of corruption does not lower stability.
How likely would we be to Golden Age if we go festivals?

That's not really any NEW corruption, that's old corruption being papered over by the fact our weath income has returned to normal, so that even with wonky taxing we have an actual surplus even when we get hit with tax penalties. Stop strawmanning and read the actual update.

Enforce Law might do something about the more blatant ones, but many of them aren't actually illegal at the moment, because our clerks haven't the tools to figure out what they should be banning.
