@Academia Nut will the Heroic Heir handle the resolution of the voting crisis in the city? and I'm guessing all the rebuilt houses now have arched doorways and windows?

There's still a chance that we'll have control next turn, both because Admin Heroes don't ALWAYS take over, AND because he's still only the heir right now. It's possible he won't become king until after we choose actions.

If we do have power, I'd like to switch to Megaproject support. For two reasons:
a) Being on Balanced would mean we would waste our Law doubling, as we won't have enough econ slots to do a Main Expand Econ
b) BUT we still need to keep the Megaproject going. If we switch to something else, we won't have our Main to do something else with.

So for example we could do Main Build Trading Post, Secondary Switch Megaproject Support, Secondary Saltern - as long as we aren't at war, that is. It would be a great turn since it should generate a bunch of econ slots (my guess would be 6) and spend a lot of resources - for once a good thing, we'll overflow into Martial soon if we don't spend some stuff. Another benefit of this plan is that it should finish the Grand Temple that turn, and with (it seems) no more debates surrounding it we might as well finish it up.
I think you are right Yahlmyn took over in the middle of the Main turn after he got heirship in the previous mid turn.

I am also fine with this vote plan if Gon let's us do it.

[X] [CA] Accept those who come to the People (Chance of Stability loss, +2 Econ)
[X] [Law] Leave things be
[X] [Boats] Size
[X] [Infra] Main Saltern Construction

So a lot of good luck came our way~ Might try to hold onto it for a little bit longer.
Wonder what will be on fire next turn.
Well, it sounds like everything expect us is currently on fire. As long as the Hathatyn fires don't spread to us, we should be fine, since there isn't really anything dangerous on the horizon, other than a war and *shiver* another admin vote.

I really don't see why people are so eager for larger boats, when being able to better trade and better supply our provinces is helped more by portability than size.

[X] [CA] Accept those who come to the People (Chance of Stability loss, +2 Econ)
[X] [Law] Have the law favour lumping
[X] [Boats] Size
[X] [Infra] Main Expand Snail Cultivation

Let's keep to the simpler methods of administration for now, we've seen what happens when we reach past our limits.

Larger boats mean more things can be hauled at once to our territories in the north and I want to expand snail cultivation just to see what happens.

Logistics. We are hampered in aiding our marches because our logistics capability sucks right now. Getting larger ships would let us transport men and supplies far better to those areas, which makes nomad attacks even less effective.

Considering a possible war, I'm fine with portability winning, but I'd prefer Size just because long term it is the most useful.

For me larger boats equal more load, durability (maybe), and stability during a storm. It's also easier to go big then optimize, by cutting away the fat and leave the working parts along.

Portability are good yes, but i think it's not needed now.

And more portable boats would allow us to send the boats further up the smaller rivers in the area.

Because they figure size will help with logistics, which ain't wrong.

We should ask AN.

Yeah, most kings have generally non-existent Mysticism, maybe a grade or two above that, but its something that they typically let the specialists handle right now.
Hey Our Benevolent Overlord, what does each boat increase help with the most out of Logistics/connectivity with our Marches, Exploration, and Trading?

E: Oh also can we still gain Debilitating Beliefs?

Doors and windows are secondary, archs true value is as support. We have higher buildings now, so the archs are probably arched hallways/rooms. And support columns.

Hmmmm, now we just need the right kind of religion and we could start experimenting with gothic architecture.

That [Law] vote looks Innocent enough. :p

Which is great for exploring, but not all that helpful for the areas we already control. Portability is great for doing things like, say, establishing settlements further down a river or attacking the Hathatyn more efficiently, but it doesn't help our marches stay supplied or connected.

It's a good choice for this turn, but I prefer the long term stuff from size myself.

Portability increases utility for river traffic with the boats.
Being able to go further up the rivers in the steppe or the one that runs inland south of the mountains the Metal Workers live in, or yes, along the rivers in the Hathatyn region, would be quite useful for exploration purposes.
Nobody has good roads for trade, thus riverine trade is the big thing for actually reaching as close to the suppliers as you can get.

Portability will help off-set the problem of our absolutely shitty trail network.

Well actually no, since we have rivers going into the stallions, having portability means we can go up the river to them better and supply them easier.

[X] [CA] Attempt to take control of adjacent villages (-2 Stability, chance of further loss, -2 Diplomacy, unknowable chance of war with the Hathatyn, +8-10 Econ, +4 Econ Expansion)
[X] [Law] Attempt to close off both practices
[X] [Boats] Size
[X] [Infra] Main Saltern Construction

We can already supply them, as shown in the nomad invasion where only their access to our boats saved them. Portability would let us travel further up the river to explore and meet new nomads or get easier access to the MWs (I think. Not quite sure what river AN was talking about there). It will not really help the areas we already have, since they are already connected by river.
Portability will help off-set the problem of our absolutely shitty trail network.
Yeah, it will. But size gives us a lot more to support areas that aren't even connected by the trails. Shit trails and ok boats are better than no trails and ok boats, which is what our outer march currently has.

I want both of them, but Size is too useful for me to pick it second.

@Godwinson and @Citino.

Really what we want to do to help our logistical and inter-connectivity problems, I figure we need to do both. Size to get to Blackmouth, Portability to get up the Black River and use trails between Marches which they seem to be building to ferry supplies to the Northern Stallions and the West Wall.

Yeah, that's what I think as well, and I think it's what most people want. Hopefully we'll be able to pick up the other option pretty quickly after this as well.

With how underdeveloped transportation networks are in this era, being able to sail further up a river than others in the trading network is not a minor and irrelevant thing! It's not "Oh, viking raiders!", it's being able to readily navigate smaller rivers and tributaries which means you can get deeper in from the coastline, as well as still being able to safely beach your ship in poorer sites because most places don't have proper docks and harbors yet.

I hope people are aware that eating southern villages will shoot our economy to +18 ~ +20 and martial to +10 (+16) range.

With stability at +1 and possibility of further stability drain.

Looking back through the heroic admins, trying to remember if there's any admin tech that we didn't get from them?

We know and it's been heavily discussed.

More than likely we end up at around 15 or 17 econ and like 10 {15} Martial.

The only reason I'm voting to eat the southern villages is because I was hoping we'd make it a unanimous vote to get the benefits of that.
