Wish we had some way to get rid of the upcoming excess martial though...
Support Subordinate.
I think our provinces might actually do that on their own if we overflow again.

Except that the value 'Protective Justice' declares that proper vengeance is needed on those nomad Hero's guys and they moved into a sedentary area this March can get to and cut off the Metal Workers from trade. If they hadn't popped up then and there it would have been a vote for location thing.
One more reason to be disgruntled with those $%&# hero units.
Actually, that was trying to enforce nonsensically out of context modern view points on people thousands of years before the those view point can even exist. Seriously, people were arguing to make modern age views that are still in flux on The People even though there was no mechanics to do so.
Not even just the near area, it sounds like we hit the nomads so hard that these guys, who are from damned far away, noticed the decrease and decided to send an expedition to see what was up. That's... wow.We kinda depoped the Steppe in our near area didn't we? Whoopsies...
Probably.Support Subordinate.
I think our provinces might actually do that on their own if we overflow again.
....and? Why SHOULDN'T we? 'Ever strive toward perfection' and all that.Actually, that was trying to enforce nonsensically out of context modern view points on people thousands of years before the those view point can even exist. Seriously, people were arguing to make modern age views that are still in flux on The People even though there was no mechanics to do so.
It's impressive for sure, but wow did it hurt to do it. I know it is tempting to try for the north and north east but I'm still gonna have to say no thanks. Not even just the near area, it sounds like we hit the nomads so hard that these guys, who are from damned far away, noticed the decrease and decided to send an expedition to see what was up. That's... wow.
There was a Reason why I stated that if we broke the nomad attack that we should expand into the steps heavily.....Not even just the near area, it sounds like we hit the nomads so hard that these guys, who are from damned far away, noticed the decrease and decided to send an expedition to see what was up. That's... wow.
Keep in mind that while it is fine to keep fairly high standards, that there are certain aspects that we literally cannot expect our people to emulate, even if it might be morally right for us to do so. Pushing for women to have a role in ruling is one thing, but trying to force our beliefs on how to rule or war will end very, very poorly.Morality won't be ignored just for expediency. Especially in a quest setting where people are shaping thier ideal civilization. Us SJWs aren't going anywhere snowflake
not quiteIt's too bad that we won't be able to reach this civ with our boat because it's likely an inland sea. My geography is spotty, but I think it's the Caspian seas?
@Academia Nut, did you just plop an inland saltwater sea north of the Tian Shan or Altai mountains?
you think modern is perfection? wow.....and? Why SHOULDN'T we? 'Ever strive toward perfection' and all that.
yep.Keep in mind that while it is fine to keep fairly high standards, that there are certain aspects that we literally cannot expect our people to emulate, even if it might be morally right for us to do so. i never said we weren't still striving
They'll eat socialist equality and they'll like it.Keep in mind that while it is fine to keep fairly high standards, that there are certain aspects that we literally cannot expect our people to emulate, even if it might be morally right for us to do so. Wrong direction for the Caspian. That's directly west, and it's close enough that we'd have heard of it before. It's too bad that we won't be able to reach this civ with our boat because it's likely an inland sea. My geography is spotty, but I think it's the Caspian seas?
The SW guys were being all uppity last turn so they may solve that excess military issue. The Marches can have some sent to them if they want to do the first punitive raid sooner. Though I expect they'll economy and wall up first turn.Grand Sacrifice is the most questionable since it brings us low on econ, but as far as I can tell it's better than all of our alternatives. Wish we had some way to get rid of the upcoming excess martial though... Prestige is far too low for us to be able to found another March, hopefully we get a mid-turn Support Subordinate opportunity.
Stalin propyl said the same thing you know
Not even just the near area, it sounds like we hit the nomads so hard that these guys, who are from damned far away, noticed the decrease and decided to send an expedition to see what was up. That's... wow.
Stupid Nomad heroes, ruining our victory.Had they had anything other than two heroes leading them, you would have won decisively. Had anything other than two crits happened, you would have mostly preserved your forces. As it was, you still caused sufficient damage that you made continued fighting against you nonviable, but that nomad attack was a perfect storm of fucking your shit up, and it still basically created a dead zone in the steppes like a thousand kilometres in radius.
Dam was hoping for tens of thousands kilometres of dead zone, o well better luck next time.and it still basically created a dead zone in the steppes like a thousand kilometres in radius.

We're way better off building aqueducts everywhere. We could use the econ and population boost far more than the extra salt. We already produce more than we need and can trade. Anything more and we risk flooding the market. Here's the new saltern seems rather cheap to make but we will need to expand northshore's one to get any benefit from it.
