Seriously?

What have the Nomads accomplished in history?
What have they discovered?
What wil they be remembered for except rape and murder?

Nothing.

We discovered iron, we perfected terraforming, developed revolutionary administrative techniques.

We are The People, a true civilisation, they are nothing but selfish, unremarkable, unremembered whispers whose greatest heroes fade within a generation or two, leaving no true legacy except more death.

But they will die. Every last one of them.

Let's kill them, and pillage everything.

I normally object to generalization but I feel like the nomads are objectively worthless than us, not only do they contribute nothing good they actively destroy it.

Damn. 7 War Mission action-equivalents and they still managed to deal 2 econ damage. I guess we're at DOOMCON-2, since this is edging awfully close to DOOMCON-1.

Choosing both No and Restore Order risks dying due to admin rolls, and this time we don't have a heroic administrator to fix that.

We shall stand. We shall fight. And we shall kill. Weapons still gives us enough Econ to survive

We're in negative economy?! :jackiechan:

We can make better weapons and farm better, and to a lot more better with metal tools.

Rember to pillage then burn
[X] No (-1 Stability, +1 Legitimacy)

We also need to think what we will do when we are done with our purge.

Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull throne!

I'm starting to feel like we need the economy more than we do the martial especially as our provinces can convert econ to martial at better that 1 to 1.

Why just why are the nomads being so spirits damm lucky not only do they have 2 heroes they also scored 2 crits and did major damage to us despite us killing 2/3s of the forces they brought.

I cannot decide about what to use the iron for so I am not voting for that but we are already low on legitimacy so I want to get it back to max.

If we're going to go offensive, we need those weapons.

It looks like

[] Offensive
[] Restore Order
[][king] No

is workable. It just leaves us in an awful place next turn. We'd need to do Tools, if only for the econ to run stability actions.

[] Offensive
[] Restore Order
[][king] Yes

would give us up to four stability, and we'd promptly lose one of it from having dropped to 1 Legitimacy. And it has unpleasant implications for our long-term government, though that might be possible to patch up afterwords. It's an especially bad combination with the weapons priority from the mine - we don't need to pair a illegitimate warleader king with a military overflow.

I'm honestly not sure whether we need econ or martial more right now.
We need Econ more. No question.

[x] Tools (+8 Econ, +2 Martial, ???)

Because if we don't change our king, we need the econ, desperately; and if we do change our king, pairing it with dedicating our resources to warfare over keeping our people from starving is even worse.

Good move on the nomad Hero units part. Same trick as the Emperor in Gate, convince the non-you factions to damage themselves just as much as your guys were and reap the balance change as they are all screwed.

First thoughts:

[] Tools (+8 Econ, +2 Martial, ???)
Martial isn't the problem and Economy can't ever be enough for the infrastructure needs. Negative economy is suck. Martial will be at 7-8.
[] Leave things be
Restore order is just asking for a fail.
[] Offensive (+1 Stability)
The People want blood even more now and in kill mode.
[] Yes (+1 Stability, -1 Legitimacy, Martial focused character becomes king)
Military it not going to hurt much here. With the Economy focus on tools things can be afforded.

Just to hopefully make more people notice this...

@Academia Nut within this midturn, is it possible (that is, mechanically; obviously you can't say whether they will try or not, but can they try?) for the nomads to hit us the same way they just did, hitting our econ again? because if so i think we need to get tools so we're not close to another negative econ hit...
