On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

I do hope that one day Snorri finds the will to tell Karstah of the Kvinn that would've one day become her mother...

Hell, if the Mother option wins... it might just remind Snorri about his own mother... and HER.

What perseveres?

[X] [Statue:] All three

The Dawi persevere through community, and they can only do that with all of these aspects.

I just thought of it this way, How will dwarfkind persevere? The Elder fights against the march time but he will fall to it eventually and that will when their legacy will end, the Warrior no matter how skilled will fall in battle and that will be the end of their legend but a Mother will create a family that will live longer than her and continue to aid Dwarfkind even after her passing. Then they too will become parents continuing the cycle persevering against the world.

All preserve. None can for long without the others.

All three statues at once? Would probably split the fire at least.

Not sure we have enough people tough enough to take even 1/3 though...

Well we have Mhorni. So pick any two statues?

I like the "all together" - option. Share the load. Stand together. What would be the mechanism for choosing all at once?

Soul didn't give us an option to choose multiple at the same time and there isn't even a write in option, so i don't think we need to press more than one at the moment. Soul would have specified if we needed to pick more than one, Soul isn't the kind of QM to give us trick options that will actively screw us over.

To quote Black Books:

"Stress? What does she know about stress?"
"She has three kids."
"... Well, we all have three kids"

(The two people speaking did not, in fact, have kids)

Dimly, you point your light towards the spot where the energy had come from, illuminating a mural of seven snarling Wyrms, their mouths open and ready to spew their flame once more, across the wall.

"Well," Karstah mutters dumbly, "I suppose that's what's whatever is being persevered against."

Without this, i would say it could be any of the statues because they preserve in different ways.

Mothers preserves the future, (because children)
Warriors preserve the present, (against threats)
Elders preserve the past. (With their knowledge)

But then this seems like specifically outside threats?
Then it would be warriors, imo?

Unless it's a multiple choice question? @soulcake could we answer all three by getting three people to stand on three pedestals?

The Karaz Ankor.

I don't think it's the Elder, since this whole test is about finding a worthy successor now that the Ancestors are gone. I think that if the Elder was the correct answer, then we wouldn't be in this situation to begin with.

Hmm, the seventh rune in the list is light, while fire is the eighth.
