Anyway let's get an Aktasuki cloak. Come on. A YOUTHSUIT is green. Akatsuki has red clouds. What are the Gōketsu colours again? I think the data speaks for itself.

If the answer is no then you have just painted a target on Ami's back. If the answer is no and HazoPilot reveals Ami's knowledge of Necromancy, you have painted a target on her back.

If the answer is yes, and she arrives, you will be alerting her to Hazo's treason. If she is discovered, Tsunade will banish her from Leaf and separate her from Kei. Ami has a lot of goodwill for Hazo but the one line in the sand that Ami has repeatedly warned us about is that we cannot endanger her relationship with Kei. Being banished would make it harder for her to visit Kei.

Respectfully, the entire plan refuses to engage with the actual choice that we face:
Hazo can join Akatsuki, or he can stay with his family as a loyal Leaf ninja. He cannot do both.

  • Take a deep breath.
  • We would like to accept. Joining Akatsuki would align strongly with our goals, and it's only because of the severe consequences we can't immediately do so. But hear us out - we have one last thing to share before making the decision.
  • Our research into Dimensionalism is not fruitless like you assumed.
    • We discovered 3D Sealing, though we kept the notes private on the Seventh Path. We already know how to make Runes, our term for 3D Seals, and have the necessary substrate. We would like to share this with Sasori as a token of good will.
    • In fact, we were about to present our research and infused prototypes to Asuma within the week. We believe that Lithosealing, as we call it, would be of massive help in Rift research due to Runes far eclipsing equivalent Seals in power output.
    • Answer any related questions Itachi might have.
    • We think you underestimated our abilities as a Sealmaster, and thus our importance to the Dragonwar. Our Bloodline allows us to memorize any Seal or Rune from a glance and recreate it later, including the Great Seal. Out of everyone in Leaf, we have the best understanding of it and we are a very skilled Earthshaper, a skill which if our research is correct will eventually allow repairing it.
    • Alas, we recently suffered debilitating injuries which interfere with our Sealing capabilities in the short term. We are also very worried for the future of our family and clan within Leaf and the fate of the Crusade if we were to disappear right now. We are willing to cooperate with you, as much as we can, but is there a way to do so without leaving now? Can you give us three months before we join you in Rain, for the situation to cool down, our injuries to heal and our affairs to settle?
  • Perhaps by then we won't even have to disappear, though if it comes to that, we will be willing to do so. Its just.. bringing back our loved ones is a goal we can support, as is peace, but we shouldn't have to give up on the living to do it.
  • If we can remain in Leaf for the time being :
    • One last thing - perhaps at some point we could make Rift research into an AMITY venture, somehow? Maybe its idealistic but perhaps it would be worth discussing with Ami.
    • Say our farewells to Itachi. As far as apocalyptic conversations were concerned, we enjoyed this one and we didn't even have to fear for our lives all that much!
    • Report back to the Hokage. Debrief her on Elemental Mastery, the Dragonwar and others as necessary. Keep 3D Sealing and Project Necromancy secret. Use the occassion to ask Kagome be allowed to learn SC, the situation is dire and we need all help we can get.
  • If forced to go to Rain :
    • Ask Itachi if we can leave a parting note for Mari, the contents of which he would be privy to, to settle our affairs in Leaf and minimize the harm that comes to our fellows. Vote on its contents in a later Action Plan.
    • Can we take Kagome with us? He is a solid Sealmaster who worked on the Rift. He would help and we cannot guarantee he will stop pursuing the research if we are gone because he will not even know he has to. It would be dangerous for him to stay too, and we look less a traitor if you abduct both Gouketsu Sealmasters in the aftermatch, and not just us.

Thought I would make my own plan, I doubt it will gain much traction but hey, you never know, and I very much like it (obviously xd).

On another note, how does multi-plan voting work while posting a plan of your own? Do I have to do anything specific to have my other votes count?

For what it's worth, I wasn't meme voting at all. I do NOT want to join the Akatsuki, I do NOT want to betray Ami, and I do NOT want to give up opsec on our secrets to the Akatsuki.

I would rather Hazou tell Itachi to go fuck off while consumed with a near-suicidal level of scorn than to betray Leaf, betray Ami, or give up yet more of our hard-won shinies for free.

Speaking of, here's my take on sharing FOOM with Ami. I expect you may like it, and so may campaign for it if that question gets decided during a voting cycle that I happen to miss.
  • Ami:
    • In case it was ever in doubt, you'll of course share WHOOSH. The life-debt thing wasn't even necessary; you'd promised.
    • Regarding conditions: This won't work if we don't trust each other fully. You'd initially considered something like "don't do anything that'd harm Team Uplift's interests compared to the counterfactual in which we didn't share WHOOSH"...
    • ... but she'd been trying to move past the framework of favors, and to develop genuine connections. You want to respect that.
    • Thus: no conditions. You trust her, and hope she reciprocates.
I'd planned to put it in my plan for the next update, but opted not to.

I genuinely think this is the best move to maximize our effective leverage over her, and to simultaneously banish even the shadow of the favours we supposedly owe her. It's the height of creative ruthlessness! Only reason I'm interested in going this way, really.

I like this and would be inclined to vote for this. Ever since Akane died (and the nonstop everything that's happened since), I've been short on spoons. So I probably won't be able to campaign/planmake for it, but this is certainly something that would be likely to earn my vote.

The currently leading plan reveals:
  1. The Iron Nerve's sealing component to Itachi, who is not even an allied ninja in this plan
  2. Earthshaping as a primary limiting component in Lithosealing to Akatsuki, without any kind of equivalent trade in Lore or techniques or seals
  3. The core strategy for delaying the dragonwar to Akatsuki, who has already kidnapped one set of Kaiju (the tailed beasts)
  4. Ami's split loyalties to (1) Itachi, who has interpersonal friction with Ami and also to (2) Akatsuki, who has threatened to disrupt or destabilize Leaf and would love to be given a lever to eliminate one of Leaf's Jonin

Any one of these would be a catastrophic setback on the road to S-rank relevance. It hands over our only advantages and buys very little in return. This setting does not reward ninja for sharing information. There is never any upside to sharing techniques or lore unless we are compensated, immediately, with increased personal power. The IrL ethics of "information wants to be free" and "collaborative inquiry" fail hard against the setting's dominant strategy of grasping at every possible advantage.

I am certain that defeating this specific cluster of OPSEC BREACHES is important enough to offer vote markers to any player who is currently voting for Action Plan: Not Actually a Fleshed Out Action Plan. If you remove your vote, you will have the option to compel me to namevote you in any one future voting cycle. Ping me and we can discuss details.

I don't think it's that much of a risk, and I polled the people here and most people are indifferent or think it's low-risk high-reward. I'll keep it in.

Okay, you raise a good point for Ami. I changed it so we don't reveal that she wanted to to revive Pain, but i don't think calling on her is a bad move. She is a negotiator that works with Akatsuki regularly; unless that feud with Itachi is still ongoing, it's not unreasonable to ask her to assist with... negotiating with the Akatsuki.

Fair as far as Minato, I changed it a little to make it a more general 'peace-aligned'.

IIRC:
We told Asuma about the dimensional rift as soon as we got back to the tower. We clearly informed him about our suspicions that it is a portal to the afterlife.
We engaged in a follow up mission to further investigate the rift.
We're engaged in 'dimensional research'.
If Asuma wrote that down, Tsunade will figure it out the moment they pull up those old records.

I mean... do you think we can continue to refuse and get away alive? It's Itachi. At best, maybe we could social our way through or something, but that seems iffy. At least this way there's a chance, and hopefully Itachi doesn't pretend he'll kill us as a test or something and we fail.

Okay, so. I agree, and I want to reveal lithosealing, and that's why i made a second version of the plan which reveals lithosealing.

But here's the problem. Lots of people here also don't want to reveal lithosealing, and I think that a plan that does it does not stand a good chance of winning; currently this one is only barely in the lead ahead of 'decline'. And the mention of lithosealing in the original was a 'if statement', because it was a outline and I was pointing out to the players that we could do that and win the argument but at risk.

And I can't just unilaterally change how I handle lithosealing in the main plan after people have voted for it. Even adding a 'if Itachi is still not convinced, reveal lithosealing' would be a big change.
