On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

[X] [Campaign] Continue the offensive. Campaign goes high level and my rolls will solely be for how things generally play out + Snorri fighting any heroes/big bads. After a city falls/you suffer a defeat, a similar vote will happen until you return home or all targetable cities are destroyed.
-[X] Against the Khornate City

[X] [Various Bits] Keep it. Onto the pile it goes. Gain Research.

[X] [Hammer] Give it to Karstah: To give her such an opportunity is a sign of immense trust in her capabilities. Comparable to the Dragon corpse you gave her, likely even moreso. Reagents are used up and organs rot, but knowledge, after all, can be kept forever. Karstah will use her free time to research this. You will also get the results of her research while she gains expertise and experience. If Karstah already has a lot to research then getting research rewards will be delayed.
[X] [Helmet] Give it to Karstah: your heir may have this helmet to do with as she wishes. Gain, bonus to research time if Hammer is also given to Karstah.

I am more wary of Nurglites having more prep-time compared to Khornites.

No half-assing things. We shatter their presence in the area completely.

Also, these are Fimir, not the daemons themselves. They ain't gonna infight all that much.
Don't be so umgi. Haste makes waste. And remember that the entire expedition almost got ambushed and destroyed at the start?

Also we should take the time to forge some powerful anti-nurgle artifacts. Disease is nasty, even for dorfs.

Already a Rune of Cold, but the effect is different enough to be its own thing. Actually is it alright if I replace the effects of the Rune of Cold's three Rune stack with yours (if a bit weakened)?
Sure go for it.

How would you differentiate these Runes from the other speed and reflex enhancing Runes?
Aside from the irrepressible urge to scream "yarr harr" at all times? The Rune of Tides is more anti-parry than it is raw strength, if you get my meaning, like if it was a TT it'd be a -1 to parry rather than effecting the strength stat. As for Rune of Rapids it wouldn't give ASF but would get rid of ASL, if that makes sense. And most importantly they'd be, in my conception, pretty cheap as far as Runes go.

Ooof, getting that Rune as the foundation for our axe would be pretty nice. Primordial Cold is also part of the Primordial World after all!
I imagine someone has already pointed it out but before the Old Ones moved Mallus closer to the sun it was almost entirely a ball of solid ice. So being able to call on the icy cold of ages long gone would really fit into our larger theme.

I say we give kartash both the Helmet and Hammer or the just the Helmet and the The Needle from the Various Bits both to have her futher her esoteric and to have nead gear to study

that leaves from the Various Bits The Cauldron Fragments and The Drinking Horn and maybe the hammer for us selfs

The more we offload on her the longer it takes of getting something out if it plus we are better in the productieve aspect seeing we are more exerprinced then she is in it i would think

plus we can always later deside to eather give our guard or clan the Hammer and shield

Now i think about it do we know who our clan thane is? He was never mentioned

And regading the Campaign i say continue it we are very much winning it for now in the nummbers and the more we are here the more we destoy the fimir plans and settle the Grudge

plus the loot and i very much want to find alive albish in order to help them and start the great bromance(alliance) between dwarf and man first the albish then the non corrupted norshii/norscans and then pre/after sigmar Empire tribes for the offensive It is best we do it Against the Nurglish City

The longer they defile the land worst it will become for later

[X] [Various Bits] Give some to Karstah.
- [X] The Needle: While the needle never seems to run out of thread, that's only the case if the sewer in question isn't speeding through things, in which case they can indeed find themselves out of material.
[X] [Various Bits] Keep it. Onto the pile it goes. Gain Research.
- [X] The Drinking Horn: A constantly refilling horn of liquid? Useful. Novel. Blasphemous! Clearly, it uses magic, but who in their right mind would make sweet alcohol with merely magic?
- [X] The Cauldron Fragments: They appear to be pieces of several Cauldrons in varying states of deconstruction, some of which seem to constantly drip a particularly tasty broth without end. The imagery and aesthetics on the outside is markedly different, but from what the Brana have sniffed off it, these were likely the precursor to those wretched things the Fimir used to revive the dead and dying into monstrosities.

Could Snorri attempt to discover who made the hammer before deciding what to do with it? A legendary piece of gear must have a, well, legend associated with it.

They were no Alric Thungnisson of course, none were, but they…well if it weren't for the fact that it had no identifiable makers and none amongst your fellow Runelords could tell the maker from its construction, you'd say these were the work of a peer. At the very least, they possessed the same level of skill.
This... is kind of sad. Tragic really. For Snorri Klausson is the Eldest Runelord of the North because all others who came with him died in the Great Chaos Incursion.

It's possible that these two items were made by one of those lost runelords. One of the ones who traveled on when Snorri stayed with Kraka Drakk. These might be the last works of a dead hero.

Could Snorri attempt to discover who made the hammer before deciding what to do with it? A legendary piece of gear must have a, well, legend associated with it.
That's a good part of what he did by asking the other runelords about the hammer. Since he figures he can learn the Master Rune from it, I expect he's satisfied himself in terms of looking around for who made it.

How many ways does Snorri have to turn himself into an artillery shell?

1. Hitch a ride with a Brana buddy and drop himself onto Ground Zero.

2. Have his Stand do a fastball special on himself.

3. Use Zharrgal to create a column of earth beneath his feet at an angle.

Any other methods I've missed?

Rune of Sensible Naming Sense
Crafted in times of great disturbance, the Rune was first created when an insensible dawi challenged common sensibility and insensibly bestowed upon his son an insensible choice of name, not in regards to the name itself, of course (no living dawi dare go so far), but in regards to how it is presented along with the second name.

In response, sensible dawi came together to forge this rune to mark the affront in the hopes of preventing a repeat of such a mistake, by both the original offender (THAT MEAN'S YOU, DOLGI!), and by those who would choose to follow such an example.

Though initially designed to only shine bright so as to attract as much attention upon the plaque it was inscribed on from wherever such a plaque was mounted, several daw have professed to the mysterious sight of the rune shining brighter or flashing whenever the offenders pass by or someone speaks something atrocious, like the combined words of 'Dolgi Dolgison'.

Such reports remain inconclusive.

Rune of Hoarfrost: This weapon grows thick with ice and cold and when brought against an enemy it grows upon them. The weight of the ice and frost that sheathes the enemy is so great as to reduce their march to a comparative crawl.

Rune of Diligence: The bearer of a talisman engraved with this Rune finds their reserves of strength expanded, their ability to feel exhaustion dulled, so long as an enemy remains to be fought on the field or a task the bearer considers vital is yet unfulfilled. When no threat or duty remains, the Rune enhances the bearer's rest in preparation for future challenges of endurance. A favourite of Rangers and sentries when the Throng is encamped.
