I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

A fitting reward for your heir you reckon, and admittedly you wanted to see what she could do with it. While the contents of your vault are technically her inheritance, she must ask you for material, and you certainly don't plan on dying anytime soon. This would be wholly hers to do with as she wished.

Preserve the human bodies and don't do destructive testing on the sword once we are finished purging the lizards we can send out some beardlings to find these people in return their remains.

Given how ambitious the dragon gronti plans are I don't think we have the spare actions to research the sword in the future.
And after that we're probably back to fighting over Akazit and Metal 5

Snorri already has his hands full. Adding the sword to the research backlog seems counterproductive to me when it could be completed for free some time down the line. Plus extra experience for Karstah is a good thing.

My thought for keeping the blade is to avoid overloading Karstah, both in terms of workload and emotionaly. She might not think she deserves all of it.

Also reluctantly I must say we're less likely then her to break the sword, and I kinda want to give it back some day.

Voting for the Slaaneshi City because they have slaves to rescue, and because Dawi are less vulnerable to classic Nurglite tactics than Umgi. Taking the blade for ourselves because it's honestly not something I'd expect Karstah to figure out by herself anytime soon, and giving her the corpse because she's frankly earned it.
