Just leaving the two Isan exiles to be snapped up by Cloud is crazy IMO. I realize people are tired of dealing with Isan and want to go home. But this is a loose end that we can't just leave dangling. Remember the civilian informant we just abandoned after the Sunset Racer? That informant got Minami killed (probably). I think this an equivalent loose end we're leaving to bite us in the ass later. I strongly advocate for dealing with this right now.
Second that, and speaking of loose ends, we should tell Asuma to be prepare to deal whit the biosealmaster whose wife we capture and his miriad of snake themed organizations.

I must note that the team don't have any tracking expertise. Going to be awfully for us to shadow these ninja. Also, these ninja aren't departing with our team. They will be going their separate ways.

Also, do we have any training plans for Noburi? Or for that matter, for anyone? Hopefully, Mari will get to fooming ASAP.

The team might not, but Panashe certainly does. Noburi might (but probably doesn't) have a tracking toad. Mari is a Jounin, and her Alertness is quite good. But even if we can't catch then, we should at least try. This is a relatively low cost intervention in a situation that has the potential to go very bad.

[X] [poll] bring Yuno and Noburi
[X] [poll] hire 2 chunin bodyguards for a B-Rank

I strongly want to advocate for the inclusion of a section like this

[X] Welcome Home, Here's Some Lists
Word Count: 298
  • Isan
    • Hazou reports to Asuma. What does he want with banished ninja?
      • Suggestions:
        • We track Aida Rin and Mochiaki, and arrange for ANBU capture team. Provide assistance if sensible. Do not take undue risk.
        • Alternative: "disguised as non-Leaf" operative turns them into deniable assets a la Jiraiya.

Good points have been made about Noburi's chakra sense. Plan edited:

[x] Action Plan: Piercing the Veil
  1. Sanity check with Mari/Keiko.
  2. Isan Team:
    1. Hazou reports to Asuma. What does he want us to do with the banished ninja? Suggestions:
    2. Track Aida Rin and Mochiaki, and arrange for an ANBU capture team. Provide assistance if sensible. Do not take undue risk.
    3. Alternative possibility: use a "disguised as non leaf" operative to turn them into deniable assets for leaf.
  3. Hazou and Kagome:
    1. Find as much information as you can about rifts and dimensionalism. Consult with sealmasters. Read Jiraiya's notes, the Leaf Private Library, and anything else Asuma is willing to let Hazou access.
    2. Purchase copies of any seals that might behave at all differently at the rift (diagnostic seals if they have them, but just in general anything that might behave differently).
    3. Once Mari is back to manage the clan in Hazou's absence, and if Asuma gives the green light, Hazou and Kagome go on a field trip to the site of the afterlife rift to examine it -- both for furthering their understanding of dimensional sealing in preperation for the Great Seal, and for evaluating the site's suitability for assisting in necromancy. If Kagome thinks that we would need better tools to get meaningful information from this expedition, and those tools are within the pair's ability to research, then do so.
      1. Before leaving, use Iron Nerve to create a detailed diagram of the Great Seal to leave with the Leaf Sealmasters.
      2. Bring Noburi, both as a bodyguard, and in case his chakra sense is helpful at all in examining the site.

This research could take place at Leaf, if Kagome sees immediate need to do that research, but might also or otherwise take place at the rift site, if he thinks that preliminary examination of the rift site would better enable the creation of tools to exaine it in more detail.

No reason not to keep them. Also, we could impose a requirement on any Gokestu sealmaster applicant that they work on a humanitarian project.
I mean more like preempting some of the more worrisome abuses of our hospitality by being proactive and controlling the narrative. Are we going to do any of that? Or are we going to just wait until they walk into Leaf, knock at our door and comply to the terms as they understand them?

I was about to write up another question and felt a bit spammy so I'm just going to relegate my questions here:

@eaglejarl @Velorien

1: Can we vote in training plans or should we wait until next cycle?
2: Who, if anyone, has been practicing the Akimichi Chakra Enhancement Technique? Based on a prior conversation I had with faflec, I am under the impression the only one mentioned explicitly in-story as practicing it is Noburi. Are the QMs tracking anyone else attempting to take up this stunt?
3: Should a pair of Skywalkers be removed from everyone's inventories? I'm not sure how long they were used for, but I assumed we would've went through at least one pair.
@eaglejarl @Velorien
Sorry if this is annoying/you're already discussing it, I just wanted to be sure you saw it since I edited in the @'s and I'm not sure that actually pings you...

Have the potential repercussions about taking Hazo out of the village for an extended period of time before his Mediums have healed and while DRAGONWAR is still ongoing been discussed? My vote here is almost-exclusively for the snatch squad.

If the word count is available, @MadScientist, I think it might be a good idea to flesh out (with a single sentence) the rationale behind grabbing the two new missing-nin; jutsu and political knowledge.

Personal:
You're willing to pursue any possible anti-dragon tools at this point. And Kagome sensei's info about the Karasu clan might hold weight. Solve Ami's puzzle: The poetry of Karasu Goemon.
  • It's an intimate gift, so try to figure it out on your own first.
    • Ask Kagome's help with care and only if needed.
    • If this is a promising avenue, .
Haru:
He's shown talent in intelligence work, but needs polishing.
  • According to Akane and Haru, the investigation's at a dead end at this point...
  • Haru displayed good initiative in establishing an intel network.
  • But he needs to cool it with the killing the sub-bosses and be more discrete -Asuma's words.
    • You also need to be more informed from his reports whether its good, bad, or ugly.
  • Other than that, Where should the Goketsu aim investigate or aim resources?
  • Any more info on the sickness currently going around konoha?
  • Get in contact with Kon Ai. Does the hospital need anything? Goketsu clinic?
    • The Goketsu do have rare medicinal herbs that may be useful.
    • Extra Seal Bank support?
    • Distribute Storage Seals (Food, Water) to the most desperate?
      • How about gathering Ice into storage seals?
    • Food shortage: Hazou will pick Kagome's brain about using Sky squid as famine food on sky-tower hunts. Either stupid or brilliant idea. Haru can investigate how bad the food situation is and report back.
