He meant that while it's strong mentally, if you fall asleep in the wrong place while using it, anyone can steal it...
...

No. That would not work. The people here are not idiots. They would not risk the talisman like that.

Edit:
Janna and a few other auction goers are congregating back at the podium. One by one
I noticed a typo. There should have been a space between the period after podium and One.

What?

Why is this the easiest to steal? I mean, it is easiest by the fact that it is the only other Talisman we know about, so we can't steal any others. But this is completely irrelevant?
In character, we know it's powers, who it will go to, and that it can only be used offensively if you give up all ability to defend yourself physically. Out of character, it's considered the weakest of the Talisman.

Would Comedize Supply Lines also extend towards space? Could we use that to make it easier to put satellites into space?

I would say so. ACME was able to deliver stuff to people like Duck Dodgers and Marvin the Martian just fine, and while I'm pretty sure they're not canon here, it's probably a good statement of their ability.

Ehh, I'd rather go for sublight drives. We still need Lee on Diplomacy, and he is the best guy we can have research Exotic Vehicles. Also, I doubt that the Thread will vote for anything that isn't Translate Odd Transmissions. That would probably take up Von Drake's action, so that means Wendy would probably be on doing our AI research.

That does mean we would have to put Jumba on a personal action. Which I don't really want to do right now. At all.

I would prefer if we didn't start the space program until we have finished all of the space-related research.
One of the rewards for starting the Doofenshmirtz Evil Space Program is unlocking space-related research. I think that means building ships, telescopes, satellites, etc. I don't think we're going to be heading out as soon as the Space Program starts. Plus I'm a bit worried about putting it off and having someone else publiclally start their space program before we do. There's a looot of Galfed tech, they're pretty high-DC. I'd rather start now, then add more research once we can see where we're going.
[ ] Begin the Doofenshmirtz Evil Space Program
DC ???, higher DC indicates higher initial success
Space. The final frontier. The one place you've never managed to crack with any sort of regularity. Sure, you've sent up the odd satellite or twenty, and you even had some plans for a space station in the works, but that literally never got off of the ground. Instead of expanding outward, you can expand upward! Imagine the possibilities! Space Science! A vantage point to spy for aliens unobstructed by a pesky atmosphere! An asteroid belt filled to the brim with valuable minerals!
(Reward: Space program started, research options unlocked, questline unlocked)

As for moving people around, well. We're probably going to get a Steward this turn so it's probably not going to be accurate, but I was thinking Exotic Vehicles -Janus, Comedize Supply Lines -Wile E., Doofhawk Castle -Mirage (+Flying car +telekinesis talisman), Sublight Drive -Jumba, and Wendy Wower (24) and Vanessa for Diplomacy actions.

Wait, I can just copy-paste.

Meh I just want to state I honestly have zero interest in expanding into space right now. It really boils down to this fact: There's plenty of interesting plots Earthside that I'd rather the QM focus on as opposed to stuff in space.

It's less of us being idiots and more unseparable part of the package.
In character, we know it's powers, who it will go to, and that it can only be used offensively if you give up all ability to defend yourself physically. Out of character, it's considered the weakest of the Talisman.
If someone is at the auction, don't you think that they would have a safe place to use the item? Or know not to use it where it can be stolen?

Oh and we would have to find the other user of the Talisman. Also, if you are meaning that someone could steal it from us:

Diseased Lunatic from Danville: Most everyone thinks you're a moron who somehow managed to luck into a position of power, but some movers and shakers are starting to reconsider. Any Intrigue actions made against you or DEI have their DC increased by 20 points.

COMPLETELY EXPECTED: In the event that hostile forces attempt to infiltrate your headquarters, your countless masterwork traps increase their DC by 20.
[ ] Create Magical Defenses (Kitsune)
DC 75
100+50+4+20+2+10 (XP)=186
Critical Success

To be continued in Interlude: Warding the Henhouse
Maybe it would be a bit difficult to steal from Doof?

I am aware. That does not mean it would not be better to have the research done beforehand. People don't want Momokase because she has been known to betray employers. We also need to get to talking with Goofy thanks to the secrets he may have, which means that double down is out.

I do not believe that Corporate espionage will satisfy Kitsune.

I really dislike this plan.

I know this is still really in super-beta, but...

--[] Comedize your supply line [Super ACME Unlimited] (Wile E. Coyote, Genius) (51%)
--[] Move Castle Doofhawk to Doofania (Mirage) (71%)
If you're going to Comedize, I think doofhawk should wait so it can get the reduction

-[] Conduct corporate espionage: NMEIZ (Kitsune) (7%)
This is...really low. A 90+% chance to tank our reputation and make Toffee really mad?

--[] Study Dance Magic (Janna Ordonia) (+34)
We have various study magics available that are probably better, one that should have been unlocked last turn and two or so that are just being unlocked now, hopefully.

--[] Agent Russ (Spy on Doof)

Given he's going to be nemesis busy soon, shouldn't we put him on something more time-sensitive, or something?

-[] Quests:
--[] One Man's Trash (Martial: 76, Diplomacy: 23, Stewardship: 31, Intrigue: 25, Learning: 45, Occult: 7)
---[] Quest Leader: Norm Prime
---[] Hego
---[] Queen Lizzie

The 7 occult seems to imply Khan's on the quest, but you have him somewhere else as well.

Maybe if we focus on getting the talisman and next turn try to recruit the two sorcery that get the encantus.
Also with both me incredible and jake long the American dragon confirmed dead are there families going to appear at some later point in the story

Marital -> Upgrade Normbots or Prime (Drake)
Learning -> Research AI (Wendy)

-[] Personal Actions
--[] Heinz Doofenshmirtz
---[] Tinker with your Inators
---[] Talk with the Bossman: Wendy
---[] Brew a Potion?
---[] Introspect on Norm
Upgrade our Normbots or Prime before taking too many learning actions raises its DC into something too difficult to do.

Also I think chatting with Wendy could synergize with Norm introspection.

Like I said, highly hypothetical. I'm not gonna vote for Corporate Espionage with a 7% chance of Success. Corporate Espionage is specifically screwing someone over, she'll be fine. What do you mean by double-down- ah, you mean Personal Attention. Well, if we want Castle Doofhawk now now now, it'll need a PA. If not, we could just buy Wyndcomm instead.

Ah, reductions can't work on the same turn?
Yup, I've got little to no idea what to do with Intrigue. Was trying to think of a way that we could send Kitsune out on a 140 DC, haven't figured one out yet.
Yup yup, definitely better to put Janna on one of the new stuff we've got.
Spy on Doof is time-sensitive, seeing as we're gonna be attacking Toffee soon. Might as well get more US support first...
You know, I don't know what's up with that. I'll ask kfrar.

So apart from possibly giving us a third action, is there any benefit to selecting a department head like the Diplomat? I mean, are their relevant bonuses added to all the actions in that category without needing them to specifically work on projects? Are the DCs reduced? Are new options made available?

Jake isn't confirmed dead, only heavily implied dead. And I think we shouldn't be discussing next turn plans before we even know all of the Heroes we'll have available for next turn.

Upgrade our Norm bots before taking too many learning actions raises its DC into something too difficult to do.

Also I think chatting with Wendy could synergize with Norm introspection.
wouldn't it be better to upgrade Norm prime before the introspection instead of the norm bots. since the dc for his upgrades also scale with what we have available (plus giving NP 2 ai boosts would likely help)

Our current issues with Upgrade AI is caused by the Robo-doppelgangers. I'd rather look into the bodies.

This seems like something that is very much a gamble that could easily go wrong for relatively little payoff given that we could just do it in a few turns.

Personal Attention is better for actions with a fairly high chance of success, but low enough that we aren't sure about it. Corporate Espionage is not screwing someone over. Toffee doesn't lose anything, other than information security.

Dinosaur Entertainment is by far the superior option. Rushing space is honestly an awful idea.

It's honestly way too early to be throwing around plans tbh. Getting an early start isn't a bad thing but we're missing a lot of relevant information and it's not limited to any one category or small group of categories so we can'r just plan around it and fill in later.

I mean, are their relevant bonuses added to all the actions in that category without needing them to specifically work on projects? Are the DCs reduced? Are new options made available?

We have no idea and MiH has been coy until we unlock the whole "council"

For personal actions this is what I would want
--Tinker with Inators
--Chat with Bossman (Wendy)
--Potion Brewing
--Write a musical.

We've spent multiple national actions on Potions with nothing to show for it yet and still have that +40 on the Musical we need to use. It would segue into going more in on entertainment in general too.

I'd honestly prefer to chat with Goofy or Max. Goofy so we can start looking into his secrets while he still has 50 Loyalty. Max so we can talk about how we've messed up with sending him on Quests and encourage him to look into Comedic control.

So, I might as well throw this question out there.

How well does Ki training synergize with the Talismans?

On a completely unrelated note, is Blot likely to break Inquinator out of prison? With respect to our prison guards, their chance of stopping him entirely revolves around whether or not Russ is nearby, but I'm not sure if he's interesting enough for Blot to take interest in.
I doubt it, The Blot is focused on Russ, first off, and unlikely to care about failed second stringers.
Universal Translator was good for that, but I guess you're thinking of sublight drives, exotic vehicles, and fuel, either unburnium (after the program starts?) or flubber(for power and antigravity).
We already have unburninium, we just dont "have any"
We should recruit Candace for the Doof Troop. She's cool.
Unfortunately, despite the fact that Candace and Vanessa knowing eachother and are "friends" her suspicion level is too high for her to ever work for us. Also, she's kinda bad at everything.
