After delegating work to people, we should remember to check up on them to see if they actually do it. Anyone remember other things we've delegated that would be good to check up on?

  • Discuss the contest with the clan.
    • Questions:
      • How hard should we go for rewards? Should we go for just one?
      • Should we work with other ninjas/ninja clans?
    • Contribution ideas:
      • Jiraiya's sealing/spy notes: The former is apparently really valuable; the latter is also critical given our shredded spy network.
        • We also have some of Jiraiya's old contacts and could re-establish contact if Asuma gives us leave.
      • 2SB-Skywalkers: Experiment with 5SB to see if the central seal + 1 supporting seal supports our weight, then ask Kagome if developing a 1-support-seal 5SB which activates via chakra adhesion and a shorter central-support seal distance is producable in 2 months.
      • Skysliders: Work on them IFF Kagome deems them viable. Use wall-walking to test many designs quickly and improve on the most viable models.
      • Semaphores: Test using faraway lamps, mirrors, and telescopes to gauge distance needed for clear messages. Work with Kagome or a cryptographer and develop a Wabun code.
      • Aito's mine: There's a good chance we could clear the land and make it productive.
      • Elemental Mastery: Indirectly stack EM to liquify airand produce hurricanes, use this as leverage in future negotiations.
        • Is Akane OK with sharing EM?
      • Isan: Does this count since it's a joint mission? Would we have to do it within 2 months?
        • Noburi: Where is your relationship with Yuno at? What do you think of making a serious proposal to her?
      • Capybara Scroll: We have information on where they've gone; we could hunt the thieves down and gain support over the clan in Tea.
      • Nagi Island: If the bijuu reform in the same location where they died, we should investigate and try to capture them.
        • For that matter, what was Pein up to; what, exactly did their seal array do? Ask Kagome, see if information survived the Tower.

Might remind Hazou to listen to their ideas too, so it remains a discussion instead of a lecture. Although they are probably used to Hazou going off into the clouds by this point.
 
Dislike the current plan. Have us sit around discussing thing in one long boring meeting. Means basically zero progress.
 
@Kiba I literally made another plan that has the above plan plus us doing other stuff. If you want you can copy + paste it as your own plan. I'm lazy and don't want to do that, but I'll vote for it if you make it a new plan.

Also, the winning plan is atrocious. We are throwing everything plus the kitchen sink, with zero effort at filtering and ranking ideas for most value relative to effort.

If I were qm, I would throw the plan out and tell the thread to try again with something more structured.

    • Aya:
      • She acted strangely around Hazou and wasn't at all like what Noburi described. Which was the act?
      • If she doesn't want to join, that's fine, but Hazou would like to understand what's going on.
      • Akane, can you sound Kayano out with her usual consideration and empathy.
  • Asuma: Get a mission and work on out-of-Konoha contributions.
    • If needed, make an excuse and take (or make!) a mission for the duration.
    • Goals:
      • Investigate Aito's mine, do some clearing/prospecting.
      • Make contact with some of Jiraiya's spies we've met (and his notes've told us about).
        • While in Tea, see if we can learn more about the Capyabara thieves, maybe we can find a lead.

  • Talk to Yuno (in general, may be offscreened)
  • Talk to Keiko about whether she's iwlling to help the Goketsu win the competition; alternately, allowing us to independently negotiate with the Pangolin.
  • Get information on how Shadow Clone works; get Akane to learn it.
  • Talk to Asuma about the Shimura land
Things I want to do in the next update:
  • Get Orochimaru to work on the J problem dammit.

Argh, why does everyone know about this stuff except us?
And then, all of a sudden, there's that. They welcome it back from beyond the grave like it's just coming back from patrol, and they don't attack it or run away. Barbarians. Three asuras in their village, and they do nothing. The One with the Honeyed Tongue that Rends the Earth and Warps the Winds adopted the Gōketsu, and they claim it loved and trusted them, and they are genuinely unhappy that it's dead (and it doesn't even faze them that it took the greatest army in history to do it). The One Who Breaks with One Hand and Remakes with the Other is supposedly their aunt. Are they insane? And now in comes the Serpent that Consumes All It Does Not Understand, and they just shrug and carry on. Do these people not know their myths?

She must not get away. And I want PotO!Hazou in Isan personally even more now.
Kagome is just plain terrifying. I'm trying to fit in, I really am, but when things go wrong, he'll be the one to kill me. I keep thinking that maybe we should kill him first, in his sleep or when he's in the bath

The problem isn't that we're working with inadequate information, the problem is that information sources are sitting right in front of us but we're not accessing them and then they become inaccessible like Jiraiya and Shikaku and the Basement and Keiko and Pain and how the Nara almost did and how Isan soon will and now all I want is to just reach in and tear the knowledge out of their—

Deep breaths. I'm calm. Everything is fine.

So when do you reckon we can have that Forbidden Lore meeting?
