My understanding is that Kagome hasn't figured out the kinks yet, and he'll talk to us once that's happened. I mean, we shouldn't bring up the idea of getting taught Sealing to Nakano before Kagome's ready, right? For all we know Kagome might realize that it'll be too much of a waste of time and go back to just teaching Academy stuff, and then we'll be in a shit spot.
Edit: Forgot to mention this entirely, but we also add an explanation so the QMs know what the fuck the purpose is about and don't have to dig through their nonexistent spoons drawer to figure it out.

I mean, none of that's clear from your original post, is the issue I had. For reference:
Until you explained that the purpose of the visit was for Kagome to teach them sealing, I literally had no idea what the purpose of the lunch was for. It could have been to suggest adoptions, it could have been for a gaming night, it could have been to establish them as contacts...It could have been a lot of things.
Stating why we're doing the thing now would keep Hazou from doing dumb things when sending out the invites, since he could just as easily go "Hey Nakano, you're invited to a short game night at noon on the 8th!"* or something that's NOT the purpose of the lunch, but could plausibly be.
*Yes, that's not the best of examples. I'm tired.
