But again, we have best bird-cat.

We don't need no dragon, dragons lose to Oska.

Edit: I also what to remind people that our Bird-cat is intelligent enough to understand that we are replacing her if we do start raising a dragon.

A Dragon is not a Mount, it is a Comrade that if you prove worthy, may deign to carry you if needed.

A Dragon is more like our Ogre Besty.

dragons are people smart , once dragon egg boi is old enough he can be trusted to go hunting on his own or even be given start up funds and set up his own business as to pay for his own food

This. A Dragon would be more akin to an Adopted Child.

Fredrick already has a homegrown imperial bird that has proven itself superior to a dragon I say we toss the egg to Eldyra when she shows up. She always wanted to be a dragon rider.

Alternatively, we give it to the Amber Order. Remember that Master Wizard who turned himself into a Dragon and carried our asses on Albion?

I think that too, deserves a reward.

But that's a decision for later.

Eldyra is an option as well.
Hm...

That would maje two elven houses bound to Ostland. Oh the irony. One would even be a major one. Obviously, we don't give it to Caledor.

Screw Caledor.

Um.... Eldyra is dead I think?

Dark Elf had her decapitated Head I think?

Verry slim. Torroar may be generous with the loot but he is not that generous.
I don't think it's a matter of generosity, but of logic and luck. Logic precludes him having the Banner of the World Dragon that he's been using as a napkin, but not necessarily one more of something that isn't as rare for the Asur.

I'm not betting on anything, just saying that history shows things are a complex series of reason and fate.

Also, how angry Malekith will be about loss of Dragon eggs?

Apocalyptically?

Malekith won't care at all. Unlike the Asur, the Druchii have plenty of dragons. Dragon losses for the Dark Elves will never hurt as much as they do for any other faction. Hell, it's honestly up in the air how much he'll even care about this battle. He'll be pissed if we manage to destroy the Black Arks, which is a massive if anyways, but beyond that I figure he's more likely to blame our allies and his subordinates more than us.

Please...I beg of you...I have posted the item description twice already...

*Wheeze*

In Ulthuan, the egg of a Dragon is sacred, and harsh punishment awaits any who endanger or disturb a Dragon nest. In Naggaroth, a Dragon egg is naught but a potential source of power, and their nests nothing but cradles to nurture that power. So it is that for every Black Dragon Egg that develops into a hatchling, countless dozens more are taken and consumed, so that their devourers might take a portion of the eggs' strength as their own.

Countless dozens of eggs are consumed by the powerful for every hatched dragon...please...the implications...

They're there...I swear it!

I'd be tempted to hand the egg over to the Asur, and the Everqueen specifically. Maybe she can purify it?
I'm not saying I know for sure, but it has been repeated many times how she managed to completely, utterly undo the corruption of a mega corrupted Chaos steed by pointing and flexing her will.

Would have been able to do the same to a Chaos Lord if Slaanesh hadn't held on greedily to his soul.

And she recently purified a star dragon.

If anyone can, she could.

*COUGH*

Sadrina's Ramblings
A Wondrous Act, Praise Isha: You would not know the tragic tale of once-noble Gholnaros, as it is a story only those of Ulthuan would know and one they would share rarely. A star dragon, one of the eldest of their kind, tainted by the darkness long ago. Yet the dragon princes could not bear to slay him, only to imprison him, for to slay such once kind and noble creature would be as much a sin no matter what release it could bring, especially since there were chambers enough to imprison him. Thus, Gholnaros was condemned to an eternity of darkness and corruption. Yet, no longer! After recovering from the events in Laurelorn, Her Serenity spent all of this year recovering within the Isle of Rebirth. All the while, her consort and champion in Tyrion of Cothique journeyed south to Caledor, and it is there with some aid of a single young dragon mage, Malinar Sunspear, that he and his noble squire Eldyra managed to subdue the beast nonlethally. Once that was done, before the Caledorians could learn of the vault being opened nor protest it, the dragon was secreted away to Avelorn, escorted to the Isle of Rebirth itself by the Handmaidens of the Everqueen. The Isle is normally forbidden to all men, and so it was the squire Eldyra's task to follow the beast over the sea onto the Isle. None know what rites were undertaken within the Gaean Vale, but the result is known. Gholnaros the Freed soared through the skies to the joyous celebrations of all! This has no doubt gained Avelorn the gratitude of the scions of Caledor, which is quite a prick to their inescapable pride, for though they could not save Gholnaros themselves, they cannot help but give celebration at his return. For now, Gholnaros refuses to rest, instead choosing to explore Ulthuan as he has not been able to do so for far too long. It is too easy to forget that not all great deeds are purchased with death, and that some of the most difficult but worthy acts are ones of mercy. The restoration of an active star dragon? Is an incredible thing indeed.

But also semi-seriously:

'Haha, what if I just ate it'
'Haha, what if I killed you the moment you put it near your goddamned mouth and ran away with it back to Ulthuan and also we cut off all contact with your province and did our utmost best to tear the Arcane Fulcrum's bindings and shift it elsewhere or otherwise maintain it as a militant outpost against the Empire until we could do so'

Yeah. Dragons are not just winged intelligent beast but are seen as elves as peers and friends who has stuck with them since the Great Catastrophe, the Sundering and War of Vengeance.

To give a proper analogy. Imagine if someone took one of the Hollenzheims children/babies and decide to eat it right in front of a dwarf.

You bet your ass there would be a massive grudge.

asking seriously, would the Elves be okay with Ostland keeping the egg?
It's what we get money for to rebuild our city. There was a good argument for the lance, because Caledor would pay out of their pockets, but, provided everything works out, it's not necessary anymore.

My past points about additional loot came true. Yay.

Let's be real, they can make much better use of it then we ever could.

The Asur really love their dragons man. The benefit of being the dude who returned a tainted egg to the High Elves to be cleansed and brought into the world as a beautiful dragon, something that the elves are always lacking, far outweighs what would likely be either a mild physical boost and the destruction of our relationship with them, or if you mean keeping and raising it, then we have a vicious, feral, hateful little beast (since it's a damn Black Dragon) that'll be worse than Oskana ever was and will probably have to be put down in the end. Smartest option will always be let the Asur handle the dragons
