Fanart: Lady Evangeline Hertwig, Sword of Justice
Behold! A gift of art comes, from the talented hands of @Aleadrex ! This time featuring the stalwart Lady Evangeline Hertwig, bearer of the title and blade both known as the Sword of Justice, as well as the Emperor's Champion, daughter of Ortrud Hertwig, sister of Reinhardt Hertwig, and one-time potential marriage partner of Magnus von Hohenzollern. She has come far from the grief-stricken poet and artist who's beloved was slain horrifically, has journeyed through the Underway, fought battles alongside kings and queens and princes and princesses. She now strides across the Old World at the head of her own Knightly Order, her personal retinue an eclectic thing of Wizards, Asrai Heiresses, a converted Verenan Norscan Champion, and more. Where there is injustice, where there are those who would deny the Emperor's laws, she is just one method of delivering punishment. Woe be to the liar, the criminal, the unjust, for the Sword of Justice may well be on her way!

Yeah, that's a lady who has a visage worthy of launching ships with!
…Dunno if you could get a thousand but I'd be surprised if she didn't warrant ten.

Sudden thought:
On a scale of 'I did not think the sword could burn that brightly to HE JUST WENT UP LIKE MALEKITH!' What would happen if she tries to pass Verena's Judgement on these Druchii?

If the sword started to glow at every evil being then the thing would be a constant glowstick.

She's currently in Marienburg.

Speaking of that mercantile den, I wonder where Otto Steinroth ended up. Part of me wants canon to happen. The other wouldn't want to see the Asur suffer from one man's stupidity.

You realize that means another set of people will suffer from one man's stupidity, and I don't think it'll be the ones who deserve it.
Given the number of acceptable targets on Warhammer, I'd still go for it. Between a 100% chance of innocents suffering and a 50% chance of him potentially hitting the Vampire Coast or a different target, I will take the latter.

The 'step on me' energy is strong with this one.

Further fuel for my EvangelinexLogan head canon.

Evangeline: "Speak, dog." 🧐

Logan: "....woof"

Evangeline: "Good boy." 😌🥰

Great art, but all I can think is "that is the most impractical sword I've ever seen."

The sword on the left is the actual Sword of Justice, Rechtstahl. The other is more of a talisman/religious implement sorta thing. It's not actually meant for hitting people physically with - at least not normally. Verena has multiple symbols attributed to her, but the two main ones are the downward pointing sword with scales and the owl. The latter when speaking of Verena with an emphasis on Wisdom, the former when utilizing the Justice aspect. It's not the more commonly utilized pure scales-with-skulls sort of thing, but a more directly martial interpretation of the usual implement that also remains recognizably Verenan. Rechstahl, on the other hand, was forged early on as a somewhat more immediately Sigmarite implement, but Evangeline would not attempt to alter its design or besmirch the Dwarf Runesmith who forged it.

For instance, you can see a similar sort of talisman being utilized by this Warrior Priestess (Who, yes, also has a holy glowing sword and an owl familiar on her shoulder) standing just behind this Witch Hunter:

She doesn't like men like that.

Where do you get that from? She was deeply in love with her fiance and mourned him.

She was definitely checking out Logan at least a bit, looking him up and down, before being told he's Frederick's youngest son and she had that little BSOD moment.

She has a deep friendship with Regina Leitdorf and they do clearly love each other. But not that kind of love. I didn't pick up any physical or sexual attraction or tension between them.
