An off topic question. How does Cult of Mannan looks like in Kislev?
Do they recognize Magda authority or have one of their own? How about knightly orders? What to their Sea-Born do when all ports friezze over? Were they upset Freddy killed Holders? How does their grandes temple compares? does them making funeral on see involve frezing the body first? Any Ice priesthood permanetly on board?

Alos. If the twins ask dad to help them to spread the knowledge they gatered, he will throw them at printing press and punch anyone complaining, including Arthur... And boy, will they have a discussion...

A Bit On Magdha and the Cult of Manann
The Cult of Manann is one of the most internationally widespread Cults in the entire Old World. This has come up before, multiple times, including the one big time. There is a Temple of Manann in Erengrad, and yes, they are subordinate to the High Matriarch or High Patriarch depending on who is in the position. That has never not been the case.

The Temple of Manann is, of course, in the Harbour. It takes the form of a large ship, supported on massive piers, and at high tide, the keel is under water. It was never designed to sail, but during the sack of Erengrad, the priests destroyed the piers as they prayed to Manann for aid, and the temple floated free in the bay. It was attacked several times, but all attacks were beaten back. The scarred structure is now back in place and was the only temple to survive the fall of Erengrad intact. The priests claim this as a sign of particular favour from their God.

High Priest Nadyezhda Dochtalika Vdovyn has been blessed with miraculous powers by her God, and after her courageous performance during the Spring Driving, her authority is absolutely unquestioned. Even those residents who have little to do with the sea regard her with something approaching awe. She has yet to do anything with that authority beyond exhorting people to continue to respect Manann. Since people's reverence naturally increased from its already high level after the war, Vdovyn is content for now. Other factions in the city occasionally try to enlist her support, but for the most part, they simply try to avoid attracting her opposition, generally by supporting the temple.

As a result, the temple has started work on a second building, next to the first, again in the shape of a ship. Since Vdovyn feels it would be blasphemous to do more than repair the old temple, all the money for decoration is spent on the new structure.

I don't know why anything written or done in the quest would make you think that the Cult of Manann would not recognize Magdha's authority, or that they did not suffer from the Holders of the Shore. They did, and they happily killed them when they could and were still rankled when Kattarin went Kattarin on them and she didn't bother with keelhauling. I don't know why you think that their most dedicated, the Sea-Borne, would not just, you know, be on their ships at all times possible, ice or no. I don't know why you would think that they wouldn't be upset. The Cult was upset. A lot of people were upset. Because the Holders and more of the Cult of Manann that weren't were killed by Witch Hunters. I don't know why you would think they couldn't sail out to the Sea of Claws and perform aquatic burials just fine. Icebreaking is a known thing with ships, plus you have wielders of Ice Magic that could help push a path through. There are always priests of Manann involved in doing ship stuff, and then Ice Witches and now Priestesses of the Widow still do stuff in the harbor on occasion to deal with ice because, well, it's sort of obvious that they would.

... This is what happens when I let my curiosity win before thinking things throu.
Thank you for swift answer, regardless.

Since you are here, however...

How is the medical/scientific part of Kislev reacting to the info twins brought? Outside of being too busy or dead to actually/properly care or discuss it?(Imagine; they decided to spread it in time of peace) Since Kislev is far less peeved with undead and necromany, are they more leanient in general, or is it the case of Morr not being that much off a deal to actually get upset over bodly 'desecrations' like that?

what was she driving to make her authority so unquestioned and how fast was it , did she do some sick wheelies ?

All the high priests and priestesses of Manann across the entire Old World as well as some of the lower ranked ones got visions which generally depicted her coming from the sea itself to put things right. Which is exactly what happened. Some saw a storm who's thunder boomed with her voice coming as a moving maelstrom that ripped up a forest of rotten trees along the beach. Others saw lightning explode tainted sea-life that was diseased and consuming each other while cleansing waters from the tide washed the tainted meat and bone pieces away to be cleansed over a thousand year of water currents. Some saw a faceless woman on a ship made of water crashing through icebergs filled with pus and rot and other unspeakable fluids that had been filling up the harbor.

So on and so forth.

Then she did show up, and the first thing she did was strike down all of the previous High Patriarch's guards with Manann's divine lore, forcing them to drown standing up as their own organs were crushed by deepsea pressure inside their skin and blood spewed from their orifices. She grabbed the High Patriarch who's corruption and failures of inaction and inattention, and ripped from him all divine authority which very clearly was shown to everyone in the Cathedral and the streets of Marienburg as she dragged him along without him able to offer any resistance to her at all, whether physical or divine with his own prayers guttering out like weak whispers, and then took him to the water.

And then she drowned him in the water, seaweed cord ropes wrapped around his neck.

Do you know how fucked you have to be as a major Manann priest to drown?

After that she got up, and set to work immediately, and all the staff of the main centerpoint of the Cult of Manann upon which the international Cult spins about universally acknowledged her thanks to their own visions and signs from Manann. Full bore. A flight of albatrosses flew over the city for days before she arrived, and when the High Patriarch sought to call to them - this divine bird of his God - they flew to him and then dropped dead all around him. The worst possible omen for Manann's faithful.

Many priests received the vision of the drowning man, universally considered to be a sign from Manann of dire warning speaking of needing to change one's ways, especially if the priest is the one doing the drowning.

And the one doing the drowning was the High Patriarch. Repeatedly.

And then Magdha came and drowned him. She was the storm that was approaching, the tide that was coming in, the rocks of the waters that destroyed the ships overburdened with corruption, the albatross who bit off the throat of the protestor, the purified ship sailing in, and more.

She's the most powerful and favored Manannite in a long, long time, born by the most faithful, raised by them, of them, for them, and drinks seawater and has never touched bare land, even now, thanks to her armor and all that. She's not something or someone that comes around except every few generation.

That's how pissed off Manann was that he threw her at the problem.

I would also imagine that "Break sea ice to clear a path for a ship" would be something Miracles of Manann could accomplish.

Undoubtedly, though it might be something that the Kislevites specialize in more than others elsewhere.

I'm not going to tell you about stuff that hasn't happened.

I imagine its similar to an Ulrician being thrown into His flame and burning to death or being thrown to be eaten by Winter Wolves.

A very ironic/fitting punishment for going against their own god in a way.

Now all she needs is a katana. :V

...well that was a mistake.

Unfortunately for me, storms are a very big thing in Manann theology. Salkalten got saved during the Storm of Chaos event in canon in the 2520s by a mega huge storm from Manann which saved they city and kept back the hordes of Chaos.

They mean, in the list of omens and signs of Manann, for visions and what not I mean, to usually be categorized as a sign of change to come. Stormy seas = change and conflict, ships can mean good fortune, riches, an incoming visitor, though of course it depends on the condition of the ship. Fish, sea monsters, sunken wrecks, perilous rocks, reefs, etc. also can feature and mean different things. But storms and churned up seas means change and conflict very often in their dreams.

Hence, Magdha being heralded by such in visions because of the change she was going to violently bring to the Cult.

I think, as a high priest and founder of a new order he is the most important Morrian in the northern half of Empire. At the very least he should be like a first among equals. I checked personages of importage page to make sure but it seems there isn't a singular head honcho of Morr for Empire. Tho with how decentralized Cult of Morr is he can very well be the most influential one in the Empire after his deeds, connections etc.
Trait: High Priest of The Order Of The Garden - A fully ordained member and elected leader of the Order of the Garden, a new sect of the Cult of Morr preaching more active involvement in the realm of the living. (+1 Martial, +4 Piety, +4 Diplomacy With Cult Of Morr)

Arthur is the leader of the Order of the Garden. Has been for some time. The Grand Conclave is also where the Cults of the Old World do gather up, it's not just a Empire exclusive thing, but a thing that's in theory even open to The Cult of The Lady. Though in practice we've only seen Cults that are part of the Empire. Nothing like the Cult of The Lady which is outside the Empire in prominence.

Another question. How the relationship bettwen Von Dunkenstahl and Army of the Range?

Was he put in charge? Or is army of the Range General senior in rank enough to stay in charge (does it even have one)? Is he obligated to support them logistically/ take care of them on orders form Count? How big of a force can he 'comendeer' without repercussions? Is he personall firend with any of their officers? Did he serve with/alongside them before being planted in Dunkestal? Any ideas he has to develop them further, (or is ti too early)? ect...

If am not mistaken Arthur order is the supreme source of morr priest in ostland nordland ostermark and stirland/sylvania with some influence in middenland so yes he is the most powerful morr priest

Give his order 200 years then i recon all empire morr priests are garden ones

She got a mace... she still has growth to do. Could not even punch a sorceress with it.

More like being mouled on by wolfs , pissed on by them and then left to die of hipotermia.

Sign..... the manaan cult is fucked if she cant come back to lead it
She got busy on a buissnes trip. At least Nordland their leader on post to herd the sea-cats.

I'm not at all sure that that follows. After all, Magda's had years to put the religion back in order. The big problem she was called to solve was the sabotage-cultists, and she did solve that.

If she dies in battle or something, people can just go on being normal and handling things as normal for the church of Manaan. It's okay.

It's like how the Empire isn't automatically doomed when Magnus the Pious dies; they can pick another emperor and that can work out okay. Even though yes, the man was obviously very much favored by the gods and has been a great ruler. And Magnus the Pious has been in charge quite a bit longer than Magda, I imagine; people are less used to doing without him.

Put it back in order from the damage done by the Sabotage cultist yes at the same time there are much needed reforms that needs be done

Which she probably only has half or quarter done because she was dealing with the sigmar cult

Remember marienburg is the heart of the cult and and we all know how infested it has become with priest who act in there family intrest and have handrich influences

With her gone that one priest from one of the tri-claw houses and leads a major faction in the cult has freeroom to take the leadership postion

When magnus died the empire did not break and fall back in the 3 era yes but that is because he had a life time to work on it to bring much needed reform and heal the wounds

Something magdna does not have here so the cult going back on the business as usual will not be good

I think you're greatly overstating the scale of just how 'doomed' all this is. Magda has revealed a great deal of problems and her position will remain popular even in the absence of her personal leadership, especially if she was martyred in battle.

Is it possible that dangerous forces within the Church of Manaan will cause actual severe harm in the wake of Magda's (fortunately so far still hypothetical death)? It's possible. But it's by no means a certainty.

To be sure, Magda living to go on running the Church of Manaan would be better in every way than her not doing so. But I don't think everything is just going to crumble into small-c chaos without her.

... did we talked about steampowered river boats already? like the ones in movies that are essentially reverse mills?
The trick is that we're not up to making our own steam plants, and our internal combustion vapor engines, while they work, work on fuels that are pretty inefficient to gather.

For applications where it doesn't matter whether something is compact or not, it is a nontrivial question:

Which is more efficient as a means of propulsion, hand-raising grain crops to ferment into high-test alcohol to fuel our idea of an internal combustion engine? Or hand-raising grain crops to turn into bread and beer which is then fed to an ogre who powers the vehicle via a set of bicycle pedals?

For something like a riverboat, the "ogre pedalboat" design concept is probably more practical.

Dwarf ironclads exist, yes, as do smaller river versions which can run the Border Prince Rivers after being built in Barak Varr.b
Still curious if Anna has any ideas of making Vapor Engine ships at some point, or at least test idea on a smaller scale with river boats, not unlike dwarf river monitors.

I imagine that after recent events with dark elves, her head is brimming with ideas as how to possibly counter future attacks, which could include faster and tougher ships like what the dwarfs use.

I hope for caution in this. I think one of the greatest problems with Marius' original Warhammer Dynasty quest was the high speed of society-changing technological development.
