[X] Tell Her About Natasha And The Others, Now: Different options, yes. More opportunities. The danger is clear, but if Natasha, Roland, Jaques, Oskana , and the Pegasus can get better protection and supplies by doing so, it should be worth it, right?

Was bouncing around Side Stories and came across this entry.

Naggarothi syrup – Occasionally found in the holds of captured Druchii ships, this translucent liquid ranges from pale gold to dark brown in color and possessing a sugary, woody taste with hints of vanilla. Supposedly produced from the sap of certain trees that are found only in Naggaroth, according to interrogated prisoners and liberated slaves the condiment is a favorite among the nobility of the Dark Elves. On the rare occasion that a bottle of this sweet substance is available on the market it is inevitably sold for high prices from buyers eager to obtain a taste of the luxuries that the nobility of Naggaroth indulge in.

With an entire Black Ark overrun by Imperial forces, odds are good that a decent stash of Syrup will be found aboard.

The stuff takes years to solidify (which it does much like Honey) and its pretty simple to melt back into a fluid. One of the many looted treasures to be recovered from the Ark methinks.

I'm still kinda amazed that there hasnt been a single Ostlander emperor or even a claimant. It makes the rising of the Northern Trident all the more remarkable given the history of the Empire up to that point

Man, no wonder Magnus is seen as the 2nd best Emperor ever. Literally half of the Empire's lifespan has been spent in disunity and chaos without a single overarching Emperor, and now that Magnus is in charge everybody has to adjust to the first Emperor of a united Empire in over a thousand years. Welding back the squabbling provinces who've been separated for over a millenium is probably one of the greatesr feats of diplomacy ever seen in Warhammer.

sound like fun,an oportunity or a total lose of time

Man. I don't know how to do these dang tables. They keep scrunching up all weird.

EDIT:

Yep, I'm going to bed. I give up, for some reason the second column of the main table is just extra crunchy. Ya'll can still figure what province it is, I think.

Not so amazing in my opinion. Ostland has been one of the poorest provinces of the Empire historically, and one of the big front lines against Chaos and other threats. Not to mention the crap Zacharias has pulled over the centuries. Ostland just didn't have the resources or status to promote a claim and make anyone take it seriously.

Which is what makes Freddy so amazing as well. In-quest, he's likely the first Elector Count of Ostland who has a strong chance of getting elected Emperor in the event of Magnus' passing, were he to stand for it.

Seriously doubt that Freddy would stand for election, but I would not be surprised if a descendant of his becomes Emperor/Empress in the future if Ostland's upward trajectory continues.

No need to put wards on the statues when they're probably in a greenskin or beastmen camp deep in the woods of the Empire.

That or some Skaven Lord can show off his limited edition Emperor statue.

Okay, for real going to bed after this:

Just because there weren't the official Magic Colleges doesn't mean that it was impossible to get horrifically powerful magic users in the employ of the Empire. Random towns could even rent out powerful protections to sorcerers and the like, see the Witch Hunter Emperor's response to that - but there are also known magical schools opened up in the Empire prior. Like the one in Middenland, and also Ottilia I opened up a magical institution in an effort to shore up her own military power against the Elected Emperors. Yes, they were almost universally more deranged, more prone to accidents, more likely to die/explode/get cursed/be somewhat unstable/be of varying or lesser in power/summon daemons/etc. than the more strictly instructed Wizards of the later Magic Colleges, but they did exist. Some of them were quite powerful indeed, too. And yes, the Hedge Folk and Druids and Elementalists were a pretty longstanding tradition.

One of the most powerful of whom was Fozzrik, creator of the famous Fozzrik's Flying Fortress.

He was one of the most powerful wizards of all time, and he didn't have any schooling. Same for ol' Kadon, yeah? Greatest two-legged wielder of Ghur, ever, creator of the Scrolls of Binding, whose power are respected even by Teclis himself as they eclipsed even elven mages.

----

Also, Nordland got a shot at an Emperor and boy did that not go great, didn't get another before Magnus showed up and became Emperor, and Ostermark didn't break out into the League of Ostermark as its own province independent of Talabecland until, what, the 1900s? Something like that IIRC. Sleepy now. Night.
