One point, one Faerun Dragon type (they have deep, shadow and Song, it's also the first place Steel dragons are from), can shapeshift: Song Dragons (unless 5e changed this), and remember, any dragon who hits L8 sorcerer equiv, can cast polymorph. (Failing that, crafting a limited ring of such, for dragon > human, and vice versa, wouldn't be too diffcult)

I'd like to see a Song Dragon or two, as they and the Steels were the most pro human of the dragons, even beating the Silvers.

Not to nitpick, but the Steel Dragons were renamed that when they showed up in Faerun. Before that, they were called Greyhawk Dragons for the specific setting they were from.

That said, they are just about the friendliest Dragons as far as the good and neutral aligned races are concerned, of that there is little doubt.

I usually don't post on this site, but I do read along on several excellent stories including this one. All this talk of different people becoming dragons has me wanting to nominate someone that hasn't been mentioned yet. Someone whose heritage was evil but who deliberately and completely rejected it. Someone who faced a powerful evil with courage and poise while powerless. The canon powers this person had in Worm probably best match the Li Lung Earth Dragon from D&D, but unfortunately they don't have the shapechange ability inherent...

Edit: damn, just barely Imped...

That guy? In my opinion, he is a perfect Teddy Bear for Taylor to snuggle up to.

No, Varga is the Ancient One that is not only older than Tiamat and Bahamut(Spelling?), but is also one of the few beings that is equal (or greater) in power to them. He gives the smaller dragons (like Taylor and now Amy) advice and the occasional treat.
Transforming into pieces of him better fits the ridiculous power rangers theme, though.

Interesting thing about Greyhawk Dragons: Their breath weapon is a cube of toxic gas. A cube, not a cloud or a cone.

Red Robin: "You know, I've been wondering that too."
Nightwing: "I think it's the cowl."
Robin: "I'm more concerned about the utility belt."
Red Hood: "No, it's not the belt you should worry about. It's what is in the belt. Why does a dragon need twenty bottles of ketchup? Wait... Never mind. I'd rather not know."
"Never mind the bottles of ketchup and start worrying about the twenty different BBQ sauces."

Yes. They are just THAT skilled with their breath weapon.

People, please.

The only way any of the Taylor Varga crew is showing up is via an omake. Whether I write it, or MP-Pi does, is a matter of chance.

Also, could we not argue about who ships with whom? What happens, happens.

Thank you.

If you need boy dragons, make Clockblocker a Mercury. I love Mercury dragons, and it would be perfect for the budding, yet annoying prankster.
😇🍿

Yes, they can shapeshift. Depending on the rule set, they're able to at either a Young Adult, or Adult.

Mercury Dragons tend to be insane though....

Dennis might be a trickster but he's probably the mist stable Ward.

Reading that it seems like that would be better for a character with ADHD. Which if I recall means Aisha is the best choice for that breed due to personality match. The Faerie or Copper dragons match Clockblocker much better. Still an interesting breed like most in D&D.

Earth Bet needs more dragons, lots more dragons. Failing that, Tiamat should whisper in Kurtulmak's ear that Earth Bet would be a great home for his people. There are no gnomes or short Scottish bearded people to be found there.
