On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

I feel like Thungni might disappear right after the Runesmith meet up this turn, might use it as a last chance to impart some wisdom then disappear.

So, good news and bad news on the TWW thing, I've figured out how to put a Runelord model overlapping a Griffon model.

Bad news, it results in a derpy thing where the Runelord is inside the Griffon and his hat pokes out the top and his feet out the bottom of the model.

Hopefully, Stormwing and the other Helf griffs will work a little better than Deathclaw or Beaquis.

Also, modifying building chains sucks.

Might be easier to have the banner item work like a generic Mortis Engine + magic resist if you are trying to mod it in. Probably less situational too, though slightly off from the story.
That's actually... very true, I never looked at the Mortis Engine code. And it fits the GRIND that the Dawi love.

Dawi in TWW just are a wall of beards and armor, for those who don't play, with a side of insane artillery.

My favorite doomstack is as follows.

Thorgrim Grudge Bearer, three Disciplined Heroes, four to five Ironbreakers, 7 to 8 Thunderers, and then Organ Guns. Organ Guns for Days.

Maybe a Cannon toknock out towers during siege battles, but only maybe.

I remember some popular quests having non-dwarf runes, like elfs and sky-titans (e.g.) having runes (or something similar) but I am very certain that having elf as apprentices for dwarf-style runes is impossible.

Hell, for some reason, only Thungni's descendants (though it seems that even distant indirect kinship counts, luckily) are capable of learning this particular style of rune-smithing, and not all dwarfs.
When dwarf elf relations will be at their most high, elves will definitely consider going to Norsca to set up shop since it's the closest entry into the Chaos Wastes under friendly people.
We won't because only people who are descended from Thurungi are able to practise runecraft.
So any elf who was able to was probably butterflied away by being old canon.
Or else they're just learning the theory but never actually doing it.
I'm wistful about the human apprentice who looked at what a runesmith was doing and imitated him with crude runes. But that's only for that quest on Bretonnian knights. What happens there stays there.

You know, I can kinda grok the carpentry and stonemason stuff, but is there anything special about the Baking clans or the Alcohol-brewing Clans? Like, is there anything special about their stonebread and dwarven ale compared to others' stuff, or mundane stuff, other than "secret recipe"?

6-7,000 of years of degradation later, their best was capable of brewing stuff that gave legit supernatural effects like healing and empowerment.

I mean... When our dwarf goes on rune binges, he stays on a room that needs special clothes (nothing normal can survive the heat), never leaves the room and only thing he eats is beer. So I guess its potent enough.

Yeah. I've been wondering how literal the "never leaves the room* thing is. Does he have indoor plumbing in there?

Since he only 'ate' his beer, everything is sweated out
Dwarven Beer, the optimal meal.

Also, everything Dwarves do is masterwork, right? They build under the mountains, dig deep, great fortresses etc. etc. Everything has great importance, given its meant to last practically forever.

At no point, have noone ever talked about the masterwork of Dwarven sewers, build kilometers under mountain, impregnable and all that stuff. Makes one to think. I bet it helps on those rune binges that last years.

[Tier ?] Voidstone x10
[Tier ?] Giant set of Horns? x2
Brynna Gildedeyes, Runelord from Karak Zorn: Standing -2, Favours 0

So, it looks like we got some more voidstone, which is fantastic, and... a giant set of horns? Clearly not a dragon because we would have recognized them unless it is a peculiar dragon indeed.

Also, it looks like we met Brynna Gildedeyes, from Karak Zorn. The Runelord to the farthest north meets the Runelord from the farthest south. It appears she doesn't really hold us in great esteem, but that is probably to be expected.

It looks like fun times are ahead though!
